We are remote, while only being about 10 miles from town. 42 acres of mostly untouched Alaskan wilderness with a 13 acre lake that can be accessed with 2 kayaks and a skinoo. The Kenai National Wildlife Refuge is our big backyard.
Wildlife viewing, from ducks, loons, osprey, and cranes, to martens, moose, and even bears and wolves. Hike into the KNWR or along the power line trail.Tent sites include several lakeside peninsulas, one right at the common area. Or wander off into our Birch/Spruce woods to find your ideal private space. Kayak the lake, enjoy a nature walk on the access road or through the woods. Many lakes in the area are stocked by the AK Department of Fish & Game. In summertime, we're close enough to get to the hot fishing spots without camping elbow to elbow with hundreds of your besties. Fall sights include flocks of migrating cranes and other birds. A lucky few might get to watch the dance of the loons. Captain Cook State Recreation Area provides a beautiful drive and beach access. Adventurous explorers might study the tides and spend some time out on the beach, or hike into the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge. Due to the remoteness and access challenges, availability will be determined by accessibility as the seasons change. While the goal is to be available June-September for summer and fall bookings, and possibly December- March for winter campers, weather will dictate whether or not we, and our guests, can access the site.
