JMA Campground is located about 15 minutes west of Riverton, Wyoming.

Outstanding views of the Wind River Mountain Range and the Owl Creek Mountain Range. We do not have trees or green grass - bring your own shade. LOL

We have 30 and 50 amp RV sites (each site has water) along with primitive tent sites. Amenities at the park include WiFi, fire pits, firewood, shower and restroom facilities, picnic areas, trash services and a RV dump station available for $10. Visitors can take advantage of the various outdoor activities such as basketball, hiking, biking and stargazing.

Our campers enjoy our quiet solitude - we're not located along a busy noisy highway! Jim and I established our place in 1983. We produced team ropings and barrel racing jackpots for nearly 40 years - we no longer produce rodeo events (due to health). In 2017, we decided to share our property with campers - we have cherished each and every moment - we have made so many friends! 

From the JMA Campground, it is 50 miles to Thermopolis (hot springs, whitewater rafting, fishing, buffalo, dinosaur museum, etc.); 60 miles to the National Military Museum in Dubois; 130 miles to the South Entrance of Grand Teton National Park; 45 miles to Lander; 70 miles to South Pass City - many other local attractions.

SonRise Grass Creek Guest Ranch

These RV campsites are situated near the original homestead location for Grass Creek, Wyoming - dating back to the late 1800's.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid once wandered these very hills. Onsite are original artifacts and tons of cool stuff to explore from an original 1897 one room cabin to old farm equipment, originally drawn by horses.

Our Guest Ranch is fun. Yes - you read that right. When innovation meets integrity for the purpose of producing food abundantly the result is a mind-blowing experience. We get excited about plants sprouting, cow's grazing and newborn calves bounding through the perennial grasses their ancestors grazed. Seeing chickens lay eggs, watching a piglet root out some grubs. Enjoying the bounty the earth can spring forth are all hallmarks of a living ecosystem, teeming with abundance.

All RV campsites are near the creek with individual firepits. Stays can be all-inclusive or stay only with optional meals and Ranch activities. 

The original homestead site for this settlement next to the campsite (the cabin has since been moved). It dates back to 1897 and has been completely restored.

Built to be a getaway, but not too far away!

One of the many great sunsets you can catch on the right night, followed by amazing star views. 

Two RV spots with full hookups and three tent camping/sprinter spots. 

The state bison heard is a short drive on East River Road, the gravel road the property runs adjacent to. 

Legend Rock is a short drive from the property, taking you through unique landscape on your way to amazing petroglyphs. 

Our campground is a work in progress. We try to do natural landscaping, using elements on property or nearby for any hardscaping. 

Big Horn Swimming Hole

Learn more about this land:Located in Thermopolis, WY. We offer a calm river access tucked just away off from the highway. Deep water and little current make this a prime swimming and recreating area. Campsites are limited to space but portable restrooms are available. The river is perfect for kayaking and padding boarding as well and we have equipment available for rent. Turf pads are available for tents or lounge areas. There is a boat ramp on site as well.
