Our Mission & Story The YL Ranch is a welcoming and inclusive restorative guest ranch seeking to reestablish our connection to one another, community, nature, and the outdoors. The YL is a sanctuary for the weary, a retreat, and a place to be whole again, inspiring creatives and explorers. In 2018, Jock and Kimberly opened the ranch gate to guests, reunions, retreats, camps, and other special events. In 2022, we welcomed the launch of the Wyoming Backcountry Discovery Route and the many adventure motorcyclists from around the world! In 2017, Jonathan Boyer and his wife, Kimberly Coats, returned to their ranch in Wyoming. The YL was Jock’s childhood home. They had spent the previous decade in Rwanda running the Rwandan National Cycling Team. Jock’s boyhood dream has always been to return to the ranch and share its special gifts with friends and guests from around the world. The YL Ranch has been in the Boyer family since 1905. Jock and Kimberly look forward to welcoming you with their own unique style of warm Wyoming hospitality. The YL is open year-round and can accommodate up to 25-30 guests in summer and 20 in winter. Enter the YL and experience all the joys of ranch life and outdoor adventure – cycling (road, mountain, and gravel), fishing, tennis, swimming, and gourmet (sometimes fireside) meals.

Our campground has been family-owned for over 15 years. My husband Jered and I purchased the campground from our Aunt and Uncle in 2019. We have big visions and improvements planned. It is fun to see them all coming together. We are a high desert location so not many natural trees and greens right where we are however with each season we have planted more trees and created more green space. We are excited to be welcoming guests to stay with us! Tents, RVs, and cabins are all available. Any special requests please feel free to ask we will do our best to make it happen. Located on Riner Road (BLM Road 3203) this is a private 40 acre section of remote Wyoming land ideal for outdoor recreation, wildlife viewing, and exploration. As it sits on a BLM road and so access is relatively easy considering the location but 4x4 is definitely recommended. This is within one of the largest areas of unfenced land in the US. While there are some fences here or there, it is against the law to totally enclose any parcel in this area. As such, the land has plenty of wildlife and is relatively open range. You can see antelope, deer, elk, praire chickens, coyotes, and similar critters. Plenty of land to drive dirt bikes or side by sides. To the south you can find a 19th century campground and there are also quite a few fossils and historic frontier artifacts; if you know where to look. There is a whole section of public land immediately south open for public use and so feel free to explore. Just don't forget to bring water! There is no one out here for at least 10 miles. You might see a farmer and or some open range cattle, but thats it, and its very quiet otherwise. Night time is excellent for stargazing as the nearest town is about 24 miles (as the crow flies). This land has no facilities or running water (unless a rare storm blows in) and so expect a primative camping experience.
