Drive along a scenic byway to explore the best camping near Fox Park.
Although Fox Park doesn’t have any camping areas in town, it serves as a convenient gateway for exploring the quiet landscapes of Wyoming. Stay in a private cabin rental in the nearby town of Jelm that’s pet friendly and provides coffee, breakfast, and wifi. Or, head out on the Snowy Range Scenic Byway, a road-trip route that’s perfect for RVers who love a scenic drive, to access various campgrounds nestled within stunning vistas of Medicine Bow National Forest. Set up at a secluded tent camping site immersed in the forest or at an RV site with essential amenities like picnic tables, clean restrooms, and potable water. Curt Gowdy State Park is just over an hour from town, and offers more camping accommodations—from a cabin rental with air conditioning to a powered RV site next to a boat ramp—along with boating and fishing for trout on one of its three reservoirs. Its rugged landscape, consisting of rolling plains and steep mountainsides, is also prime for mountain biking across the park’s extensive trail network.
