Lower Wisconsin State Riverway

Round River Adventures offers glamping for 1 to 3 nights on the Wisconsin River in the Spring Green area. The river here offers beautiful sandbars, several state natural areas, good fishing, gorgeous views, the list goes on! 

Everything you need for a comfortable, safe stay on the river is included with our package. The sites are set up and ready for you to arrive. Glamp sites include 13’ bell tent with stargazing windows, double bed and bedding, two chairs, kitchen cook set, table, water and water dispenser, cooking set, stove, lantern and flashlight, bathroom shelter with toilet, firewood, cooking grate, and cooler loaded with ice.

One canoe, two paddles, and two life jackets come with each booking. Additional canoes, coolers, and other equipment is available. If you prefer not to canoe (or are unable), arrangements can be made for a licensed captain to drop-off and pick you up from your camp via jet boat. Just let us know if your reservation request. 

RRA carefully choses sites to provide guests with opportunities for safe swimming, fishing, and wildlife viewing. We also try to pick sites that offer shade, light breeze, and privacy.

Or sit back and relax in one of our private camp sites and fall asleep under endless stars while coyotes lull you off to sleep.

Grateful Farms

An historic Wisconsin dairy, now home to a family of nature-loving outdoors people who farm slightly, take life as a big adventure and love deeply. We have the long view to the west, a fantastic hill to climb and a creek to play in for days. You can venture into the gardens, play with the farm creatures or simply hide away at your campsite and give us a wave as you gather water from the spring, wander into the nearby public hunting and fishing land or grab an armload of firewood. We love to share our space so get out here, see the stars in their full glory and revel in the melodies of nature and relative silence of our little valley. Reset and find all the remedies that rural life has to offer. Learn more about this land:Join our little farm crew by pitching your tent along the flat near the creek. We have a couple great spots that are just right for privacy, scenery and relaxation. Take a walk to the ridge top or along the water and explore some of the Midwest's beautiful Driftless region. A fire ring and wifi nearby -- just ask. Let us tell you where to go in one of our sweet small towns nearby. Make your way to a little slice of heaven here in Wisconsin.

Brye Cabin and Bad Axe Camping

Our family purchased this land for adventure.  We would love to share our adventure with you. 

Groomed UTV/hiking trails on our property.  Hiking access into Duck Egg county park with over 10 miles of trails to explore on 900 acres.

Drive and park directly at our cabin nestled in the driftless.  It is totally private on 140 acres.  Watch the wildlife from the porch while enjoying a campfire.  The cabin offers 2 queen beds on the loft, a futon and fully stocked kitchen.  Outdoor bathroom with plumbing.

We offer 2 campsites directly on the Bad Axe River with hike in or utv assist access only.  Park at designated parking area.  

The campsite has fire ring and table and chairs at the site, firewood available for 10/night.  5 gallons potable water provided.  Hike in or purchase utv assist to get gear to the site $20 both ways

We also have a 'glampsite' which already has a 10x12 wall tent on a 12x20 platform, with a queen bed and all bedding included. 10 gallons potable water provided.  An outdoor kitchen contains everything you need to lessen your packing for a total relaxed and spoiled camping experience, all paper products and cookware in stocked kitchen.  Charcoal and grill, 24" gas griddle, 2 burner coleman stove with propane included.  Glamp directly on the river.

There is a separate picnic area with fire ring, picnic table and swing set for the kids!

Pets are welcome!  We do ask for a $20 pet fee at the cabin and glampsite as there is extra cleaning involved, thank you!

Heavin in the Driftless.

There is plenty of space for multiple tents. I picked a spot close to the creek. 

Made a very fancy campfire meal…hotdogs and Easy Mac! 

Swimming hole/rock whirlpool. It’s deep enough to sit in and large enough for multiple people (or one person and a large dog haha.) A perfect way to cool off! 

Loved this cooking station. The hosts provide a 5 gallon jug of drinking water, along with bug spray and hand sanitizer. They also provide a charcoal grill and a small box of miscellaneous items to make your stay the best it can be. 

The hosts provide a patio table with chairs, a fire pit with chairs, and a hammock.

I think she would stay here forever if she could. 

The hosts provide a bug tent (the blue tent located to the right) but the bugs weren’t bad during our stay. It’s nice knowing you have the option of using a big tent if need be. 

Clean outhouse with lights to help you see once it’s dark 

The site has plenty of shade and is next to the creek. We had no probably staying cool even with temps in the high 80s.
