The property contains a Tree Fort for sitting/relaxing/hunting. There is a tree stand for hunting. 2-5 min drive to the local State parks that have canoe/boat access. 10-15 min drive to Deep Creek Lake. Close to Wisp Ski Resort. Close to BlackBear Tavern that has go carting, mini golf, food, beer, etc. Shed has a NEMA 14-50 charging port for charging EV's. Welcome to our Island Farm! We're located between Davis, Parsons, and Elkins. Dolly Sods, Canaan, Audra State Park, the Tygart River, the Cheat River, Seneca Rocks, and Tygart Lake are all a simple and scenic trip away. The land itself is 10 acres. The main camp area is on flat field and approximately 4 acres. Here is the secret recipe to this camp site: It will be all yours! We only offer a single primitive site per night. There are no neighbors (at least the human kind) visible from anywhere on the main field. Very minimal light pollution. The stars are clearly visible on a clear night. There are also no utilities. This includes water, electricity, or available enclosed shelters. Verizon and AT&T have strong signals in the field. There is a metal carport that has a concrete pad along with a Porta John for privacy. There are also some storage buildings on site. There is a gas station (Sheetz in Belington, WV) within 5 miles of the farm site and a Dollar General within 3 miles. Beyond that, Elkins has plenty of store options if you need supplies. Interstate 79 is 32 miles away. We are in the process of developing the far corner of the main field into an active hops farm and are members of a WV Co-Hop. Again: this site is secluded and your group will be the only people there during your stay. We will provide detailed directions when you make your reservation. The driveway is steep and could cause issues for two wheel drive vehicles in winter. If it's rained extensively there could also be some muddy areas which we ask that you try to avoid.

We loved staying at Myra's cabin. Comfy beds, clean, good shower, and responsive host. There is a spiral staircase that took us a bit to get used to, but we all did, kids included. Great location between Cleveland & DC.

Weekend Trip to Waterfront or Mountain (2 sites)

This spot was perfect for camping—peaceful, secluded, and surrounded by nature. It’s definitely primitive and off the beaten path, which makes it feel like a true escape. You can camp higher up for a more immersive, tucked-away experience in the woods, complete with a small stream nearby. Or choose the lower area near a larger, roaring, clear stream/river that’s absolutely beautiful and great for relaxing. Both options offer a serene setting. The hosts were wonderful—so responsive and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unplug and enjoy the simplicity and beauty of the outdoors.

Weekend Trip to Cozy Mountain Cabin near 7 Springs

We were looking for a dog-friendly cabin to meet family halfway between Cleveland and DC. Myra made everything easy. The cabin is easy to access, and the property is beautiful. There's a large hiking area behind the cabin. We enjoyed the very nice grill on the deck. Our 2-year-old loved his first campfire and s'more!

I loved staying at Mojo's Loft! The property is beautiful, and the hosts were so friendly to me and my dog who was with me. The fenced in yard was great for my dog to be able to wander around off-lead.

3 nights at Lily Pad Cabin & Mojo's Loft

Great little loft. Basically like having your own efficiency apartment, complete with bathroom and kitchen. Would rent this before a hotel room any day. You can hear people in the garage below occasionally but I think the loft is actually more private than the Lily Pad Cabin because of it's elevated nature, and the entrance is up a flight of steps in the back yard (which is super nice if your have a dog or cat you need to let out). I was very pleased with the level of peace and quiet as I came here to study and would never know a major highway is 1000 feet away. Feels like being in the country! Price was reasonable for the level of comfort and extra attention to detail the owners clearly take to make this feel like a special place. Make sure to read about their charity! It is named after their dog Mojo and they do a lot of amazing work for shelters. My cat who stayed here is a rescue, and she says she approves! 👍 👍 🐾

Myra was welcoming and the cabin was very clean. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. There were several state parks local to the area that were convenient to get to.
