My young family and I recently bought the hobby farm of our dreams and would like to share it! A natural stream pops right out of the hill and feeds our duck/trout pond. Goats chickens and our horse named Summer roam the property and are friendly, especially with treats in hand!Learn more about this land:Multiple areas to pitch a tent around our pond, pasture, hay field, down by the pond itself, or up with a view at the very top of the farm. We've got Chickens, Ducks, Angora and Nigora goats, an Arabian horse named Summer, and a minihorse names Pie... all roaming different parts of the property. Make yourself at home on the farm and enjoy the setting without the work!

Cedar River Retreat

The Cedar River Retreat is its own little oasis. Located past an old fisherman's community along the river, close to shopping and stores but tucked away from it all just enough to reconnect with nature. This plot was purchased in 2016 and we hope you have a great time creating memories like we have over the last few years. We currently have an off-grid cabin, RV site and a tent camping only site. The outdoors are for everyone! We are excited to host you soon! Happy adventuring!

The Happy Horse Farm

Property is a 5-acre gated horse farm surrounded by wooded military property on 3 sides.

Conveniently located 15-20 minutes from Tacoma and Olympia.

Just 5 mins to Starbucks/coffee and grocery stores but far enough away from the city so it feels more secluded.  

American Lake and Spanaway Lake (and their parks with playgrounds) for swimming and paddle boarding are both just 5 mins away! 

The owner lives on site, as well as several horses, chickens, and a dog.  

Large stone fire pit with chairs near house is available for camper use. 

Pending: Paddle board rental and bicycles for use on property or trails! 

Set-up your tent anywhere within the horse paddocks - there are no specific sites, although there is a small fire pit and rustic bench seating at far back corner of property.  

Tents can be outside of horse areas as well, if preferred. 

RV dry camping anywhere within or outside horse areas.

For RVs needing dedicated electrical/water hookup, there are specific sites closer to the house. 

***If you are travelling with more than one vehicle, please purchase an car extra parking spot.***

Only four 30amp RV spots are available and are most easily accessible for Rvs under 30'. Standard 110volt outlets can also be available for RV use. 

Woodbrook Hunt Club, the oldest fox hunting club west of the Mississippi, is a neighbor so lots of horseback riding goes on in the neighborhood. (Dragged scent only, no live foxes are harmed.)

Private horseback riding lessons or guided trail rides available by reservation only, subject to weather and owner availability.  

Use of military trails adjacent to property for hiking and bike riding subject to open land usage and permitting by military base.

Map showing location of RV parking with electrical hookup. Site 1 has 30 or 50amp, site 2 is dedicated 30amp, site 3 is 110volt only via standard extension cord. Sites 4 and 5 have 30amp available but share one 30amp hookup. 

One tent set-up option is in the back southeast corner of the far pasture.

The other tent set-up option is in the goat pasture, but the occupants here are much more curious.

As devoted homesteaders, we have friends of all ages helping on the farm, and a lot of friendly animals from goats to ducks to ponies.

Pitch your tent in our beloved forest and stroll the trails through our four acres of woods or on nearby state trails.

 Say hello to the goats, chickens, and rabbits.

Outdoor sink and shower have hot and cold water.

 Enjoy our living, breathing forest.

 Our beautiful yurt means that you can sleep on benches around the campfire and never have to pack up a wet tent.

You'll have access to a toilet, shower, and potable water. 

Bumps & Bruzas

I recently bought this place from a friend's family. The name is in honor of him, "Bruzas in Bumps & Bruzas." He loved having people out all the time for fires and BBQs and just random fun. This place was went meant to be shared in his vision, so thats what I'm doing with it.The setup is simple, we are a property on the Carbon River with nearly 800ft of river front access. The levee runs along the length of the property creating continuous camping availability. Please honor the property and adopt the LEAVE NO TRACE habits~ if possible please leave it better than you found it. We're a casual family friendly environment.
