Coffee Creek is an intentional community and working farm on the north side of Centralia, Washington. While our 11 acres feels very secluded, we are just 3 miles from historic downtown and 10 minutes from the freeway and shopping. An accessible oasis! There is a park with swimming, fishing and hiking along the Skookumchuck river within a mile of the farm, in addition to the natural beauty found right here at home. We enjoy bird watching, exploring our forest, and relaxing around a fire when we aren't working on the farm. Seasonal Strawberries and pastured poultry are our specialties, and we offer a wide variety of veggies and fruits. Tenino, the area we are in is where the First Nations People used as the Gathering Grounds. The Europeans when they came with their railroad chose to continue that tradition. Tenino is ground zero for the measurement of where one is on the railroad. We fell in love with our farm with its much untouched acres to create a place where people can gather and reconnect with life's natural beauty. We are certified organic, Salmon Safe certified, and pesticide free. Dragons' Gate Gardens is home to many giant crystals and here their beauty works delightfully with the land. The area has gently rolling hills filled with wildflowers during the earlier part of the Summer. Dragons Gate Gardens and Wilds has a hundred and twenty acres to explore. The Skookumchuck River is a little over a mile away where you can enjoy a waterfall and walk along the river with low bank where one can get into the water. Doing so is a great favorite of our guests. There is a giant crystal housed in a gazebo that overlooks the surrounding fields and woods. Time to meditate with the giant crystal in the gazebo can be booked with Kathleen for a fee of $55. We are wild and woolly. We provide a place to experience nature as it simply is. We privilege pollinators above human aesthetics. Wildflowers abound, including various dandelions of which many are edible and healing plants. We encourage converting from lawns to meadow lands being supportive of wild birds and insects. If you like it wild we are the place for you. This is not a resort or English style garden. Pleasant Places campground is clean, quiet, spacious, and private with lots of nooks for R& as well as ample space for play and activities. It is an ideal location for large groups and in order to keep camp as a single site, largeer groups are given preference. Centrally located and with 10 acres of field, forest, and farm, there is something of interest for everyone. In camp you will find a rustic kitchen, two 6' picnic tables, and a fire pit with accessories. There is a resource area near the house with an electrical outlet and a Flexzilla water hose, so bring containers. We have really nice firewood bundles as well as fresh eggs for sale and lawn games, hammocks, etc., available for rent. While the campsite, play field, and driveway loops are mowed, most of the grounds are wild, so bring your tromping shoes. Birdsong comes early here, and the night is filled with the sounds of crickets. No city lights, so the stargazing is wonderful. The goats are gentle, curious, and deep body scratch lovers. The chickens and ducks are not hands-on but some, especially the ducks, will eat out of your hands. The local fauna include deer, skunk, coyote, rabbit, weasel, and possum--bear and cat are not common, but please do be conscientious about leaving food out and keep the lid on the compost. While there isn't water on the property, Mayfield, Ike Kinswa, and Riffe lakes are all 20-30 minutes from here and provide lots of boating, swimming, and fishing opportunities. Carlisle Lake offers walking trails, outdoor exercise equipment, fishing, summer concerts, and a playground, and is just a five-minute drive from camp. We are midway between Portland and Seattle and just 15 minutes off of I-5 making Pleasant Places a perfect meet-in-the-middle location. Mt Rainier, Mt St Helens, the East Side, and the Pacific Coast are all day trips, just an hour or two from here. We are Judy and Summer and Chula, mother and daughter and dog, and we are pleased you are considering a stay with us. This was an absolutely wonderful place to camp with dogs. We had six dogs among three people and had such a wonderful time on this property! The dogs were safe and entertained and had plenty of space to run and explore and play. We were able to go and enjoy the visiting goats and the ducks and the chickens. Sarah and her partner were super wonderful and welcoming, and we had a great time renting some of the games they had available.

We had the best time at Summers Pleasant places! Three of us and six dogs, the mostly fenced in property and being away from the road created such a relaxing and stress-free few days. This was such a convenient location, close to convenience stores but having the whole back area of the property felt very private. We didn’t mind the farm animal noises or the other regular rural sounds. It didn’t bother us at all. Visiting with the chickens, and goats was definitely a highlight as well. The kitchen sink and counter space was incredibly helpful and well designed! It was so nice to not have to bring all of that extra gear. We loved being about to have a fire to cook over and cozy up to at night. Summer was very communicative and hospitable, answering all of our questions and accommodating us at her place on such short notice. We can’t wait to come back so the dogs can run free in the field again!

The land is 126.5 acres of quiet bliss. None of our noisy WiFi/5G distractions. Just peace and quiet. The ground is relatively flat, making tent and car camping easier, and our site had a fire pit like many of them do. There is a charming outhouse with nighttime twinkle lights, and for garbage, you pack out every last thread and bottle cap of what you brought in. Children and adults (me!) love to watch the friendly cows near the entrance, then you will be guided to your site by one of the two caretakers, who later gifted us some of these unusual and delicious round cucumbers from their garden. Soo good. How kind of them. DGG is a unique place to find your space, and it’s also the perfect setup for large gatherings of hundreds of people.

We really loved camping here! It's our second time here and the only thing I regret that we didn't discover this place earlier. Fairy Queen and Red Dragon are amazing people! They were so kind to show us around their property and let my daughter to play with their bunnies and see baby cow :) They also offered us some veggies from their garden, it was really sweet and nice gesture! My daughter loves both Fairy Queen and Red Dragon so much and she gets really upset when we have to go home. The campsite itself is very well maintained and kind of secluded which gives you privacy and opportunity to enjoy the nature without other people around. You can purchase a huge bin of wood for just $20 which is amazing deal! No doubts it's our favorite campground and we can't wait to come back here! We love it! Thank you Fairy Queen and Red Dragon for such an amazing weekend! 💞

We loved our long weekend away, in nature, no cell reception. We were told site 4 is a favorite of everyone's, and we can see why! Wonderful views. We were greeted right away and informed of the rules. I do wish the pool was open, but it has been closed since 2020. The yellow jackets can be bothersome. We ate our smoked salmon in the car. But that was just a small annoyance. Would absolutely stay here again!! Our 3 doggos and baby enjoyed it immensely as well :)

We just had our family reunion here & it was perfect! Very nice & level play area that had a volleyball net already up & it accommodated our Badminton, Corn hole, croquet, bocce ball amongst others. The kids loved running around playing Light Up sq Lazer tag at night too. Several cubby areas that worked for tents, we also had 2 RV’s & a Sprinter and room for all our cars/trucks. The kitchen area was bigger & better than expected & 2 picnic tables for us to play games as well. We all congregated around our RV spot at night for campfire (fire ring since fire ban) & fellowship. We were all up very late, it was so nice not having a curfew! They let us enjoy their goats, which the kids absolutely loved! The property is fenced & gated so we could let our dogs off leash with so much room for them to roam & explore. They had an outhouse too. The property is easy to get to & not far off of I-5, but you feel like you’re secluded in the woods! It’s perfect We all can’t wait to come back!

We had such a lovely time camping at Kathleen’s property. The sites are large and surrounded by trees and nature. We had a large sit that was big enough for 3 adults and 8 kids and still extra room for more tents. It was so nice to be able to have a campfire with all the kids and Red Dragon supplied large buckets of firewood for $20 a bin that we made excellent use of. We also enjoyed the river spot nearby that was recommended. We’d love to return for another visit next year.

Our whole group enjoyed our stay at Kathleen’s place! Check-in process was smooth and they were available for questions as needed. They even had treats for our doggo! The property is huge and beautiful. I would note you have to leave property entirely to access the river on the paved road, I would not recommend walking. It would have been nice for the outhouse to be better maintained - better smell control and nighttime lighting would have been appreciated. Overall would stay again :)

A truly wonderful place to camp. Owners are gracious, welcoming, and have everything ready for your arrival. We (2 adults, 5 yr old and 2 yr old) picked blackberries, had a campfire, swam in the river, explored walking trails, biked on farm roads, and pet bunnies. We can't wait to come back and highly recommend the site. Their land is huge and there are more or less private sites, depending on if you want to talk to your camp neighbors.

Beautiful place to stay! The backyard is so so special and the house itself was very comfortable and cozy. The hosts were great, I had a bit of a special request and they were so kind and flexible! They left some treats for us and even grabbed a little vegan treat for me:) the outdoor tubs were absolutely incredible!! I would absolutely love to stay here again!
