Nirvana Gardens

6 sites · Lodging140 acres · Riverside, WA
Nirvana gardens is at 3000 feet in the North Cascades of Washington. It is 140 acres with a private lake. You will have access to hundreds of acres of roaming with your own private lake. Trail run, hike, Mountain Bike, lake swim, or just sit, meditate, and read a book on the cedar dock watching the sun sets. Nirvana is available in winter with certain requirements. Please message before booking to get a list of the requirements for winter months October 20th to April 1st. I had been searching for over 2 years for a property where I could make a difference in the environment and live in the wilderness. I was looking for water on a large tract of land that was remote. In 2017 I found the perfect property and to my dismay it had sold 2 days before I saw the listing. I was shocked because this was the perfect property. In my 2 years of searching I knew exactly what I wanted and this was the property. It had a private lake with fish. A solar cabin with a flush toilet and hot shower. The cabins 8 foot windows faced West for magical sunsets and view of the storms that roll in from the coast. It was beautifully treed with just the right amount of open meadow and forest with Hemlock, Ponderosa pine, and Larch. How could this property be sold? I tried to let it go but thought about it for the next year. After a year and a half had passed and my search continued I came across an advertisement for this magical property, it was up for sale again. I called the real estate agent immediately and found that an offer had been made but the buyers could not commit for 5 more months. I made an offer that day not really knowing how I was going to pull off the money. I knew this property was meant for me. I wrote the owner a letter explaining that I was a land steward and that this land would never be developed. I would be putting it in a land trust where no developers could put up condos. The owner happened to be a environmentally focused human and he ended up selling to me. Come to find out when I had first saw the property sold a year and a half before, that transaction had fallen through. The owner had just taken it off the market for the winter. You will absolutely love the magic of Nirvana Gardens. The quiet, the wild animals, the crystal clear lake, clean air, and relaxing healing atmosphere of the ultimate nature bath.

Highland Glenn Ranch

2 sites · RVs, Tents45 acres · Republic, WA

Dark skies make for unparalleled stargazing! Highland Glenn Ranch is located 15 miles north of Republic, WA in Ferry County. We love hosting our campers! A resource book is available to borrow with listings of local attractions, outdoor activities, shops and restaurants to help you plan activities during your stay. We are happy to help make your stay on our Ranch special! ~ If visiting Canada is of interest, a scenic 30-minute drive further north along the Kettle River takes you to the border crossing at Grand Forks, BC. If you have questions about the campsites, please let us know. If sites are booked, contact us - we may be able to create a spot just for you! We have room to grow but are doing it slowly. The day of your booking we will reach out on your ETA. First-time campers, we always meet and greet you at the gate and escort you to your spot, so please arrive as close to Check-In time as possible (3 pm). ~ Some folks may need to check in later, and that’s okay! Just please let us know. If you tell us you’ll be here at 5:30, we’re sitting and waiting for you. If you’ll be late, please be courteous of our time and let us know. Communication goes a long way! ~ NOTE: we don’t have cell reception and we’re only online once each day. After booking, we will send you our home number to call for communication. Although the campsites are secluded, the sound from neighbors in the valley below travel during the day. Also, this is a working Ranch, so please be aware that there are sounds associated with our activities- the sheep and goats get excited at feeding time; the dogs bark while doing their jobs, sometimes during the night; the rooster announces the break of dawn. However, none of that detracts too much from the soothing music of the forest! Another Note: it is 3 miles along a dirt road to reach the Ranch; at various times of the year it is quite bumpy. And dusty! Acres of forest allow for outdoor games, fort building, and woodland exploration! ~ Take in the native flora and fauna on our self-guided "Woodland Walk". ~ The Ranch is perfect for bird watching and stargazing! ~ The Ranch borders State Land and is within 1 mile of the Colville National Forest which means endless miles of picturesque hiking and wildlife viewing! ~ The nearby Ferry County Rail Trail is a must-do. ~ Swimming, fishing, boating, and water skiing are only 15 minutes away at Curlew Lake State Park and the Kettle River. ~ One bundle of firewood, 15 gallons of potable water, and a compost toilet are included with your stay. BYOTP though. :) ~ Ranch-grown eggs and organic produce for your meals are seasonally available for purchase. WILDLIFE: There is a wide range of wildlife around the Ranch- snowshoe hare, grouse, turkey, bobcat, Canada lynx, coyote, cougar, wolf, and black bear. Please use common sense while camping! Always be aware of your surroundings. Keep garbage secure in a vehicle. - There are also ticks in the area!

Healing Haven Campground @ Lone Wolf Ranch is located in the Okanogan Highlands just 4 miles south of the Canadian border off of Hwy 97 and just outside the historical town of Oroville, Washington. The orchards and green pastures of the valley floor are in contrast to the rigged cliffs and dramatic glacial features that surround our 20 acres located on an isolated and peaceful high mountain plateau. Just 1.5 miles away is the wonderful Lake Wannacut Public Access Area where you can swim, enjoy the day on your boat, or just lazily fish from the shore. There are biking and horseback trails such as the Similkameen Trail, the Whistler Canyon Trail, and a vast amount of ATV trails. Museums, local wineries, and an 18 hole golf course provide great day trips and there are a myriad of scenic drives awaiting your exploration. On the property itself you can bike, hike, get a lesson in gold panning at our very own gold mine, or even go on a dogsled ride. Enquire as to availability of tours and experiences at time of booking. The area is rich with quartz and many other minerals and crystals reported to be both a spiritual and a health benefit and the seclusion and quiet will leave you feeling rejuvenated after your stay with us. We look forward to welcoming you to Healing Haven Campground, hope you will excuse any renovations and/or construction of our newly established home, kennel, and campground here in the wild and wonderful Okanogan region, and we also hope that you will have time to book a tour of the kennel, home to an authentic Alaskan Iditarod Sled Dog Team known as the Polar Pirate Pups. Several dispersed campsites are available immediately, with a small cabin to be used as a common area, a Tiny Lodge, and what we call The Tiniest Home coming in the following weeks. See you soon!
