Stay dry with a cabin rental near this northeastern Washington community.
On the banks of Lake Whatcom, just east of Bellingham, Geneva is a great base for anyone who wants easy lake access without having to stray far from urban creature comforts. Geneva is also a convenient base for exploring other parts of northeastern Washington beyond the Bellingham area, and is close enough to the border with Canada to make a BC road trip a reality. The climate in this part of the state is cool and rainy from fall until well into spring, which means the window for decent camping weather is fairly short, generally running from May until mid-September. However, cabins are available throughout the year, and while you'll find a handful for rent at Whatcom County's Silver Lake Park, about a 45-minute drive northeast of town, most cabins in the area are privately owned and operated, many with cozy amenities like wood stoves, fire pits, full kitchens, and hot showers.
