We thoroughly enjoyed this campsite! The solitude and serene views were truly unmatched. We could see for miles, and the sunsets were amazing. We traveled with two young kids who loved exploring the nearby creek. The host was wonderful—friendly, attentive, and made sure all of our needs were met. Highly recommend!

The pictures don’t do the view justice at this place. Perfectly isolated, yet close enough to local amenities to go get something if necessary. The sights and sounds of the area are amazing! We saw deer, wild turkeys, a beaver, and plenty of friendly cows. With minimal light pollution, the night sky was breathtaking.
Katie was more patient and accommodating than we deserved. We enjoyed campfires both nights and utilized the well placed utility hookups for our camper. I definitely plan to return and visit some of the local attractions that we learned about and weren’t able to fit into this trip.

My friend & I loved camping at Katie’s site. Her land is so beautiful with a great view of the Peaks of Otter. There were really easy directions to get to the property & so helpful to be provided firewood. Also she was very kind to give us a little gift with s’mores supplies, a map of their property & recommendations of things to do. Also my dog (& my friend) loved watching the cows.

Great location, close to the local wineries/breweries the Blue Ridge Mts. for hiking and to the Oak Ridge Estate for events. Nice quiet neighborhood and a quiet street to walk the dog. Everything you need is there-power, water and sewer. Great host communication.

We hosted a 7-person retreat here and it was absolutely magical. The property feels like a sanctuary—hammocks by the waterfall, butterflies everywhere, and plenty of space to do powerful, grounding work in nature. A short hike up the falls is well worth it, and you can even catch glimpses of Crabtree Falls from part of the land.
It’s also easy to slip away to quiet spots along the Tye River for peaceful reflection. The lack of cell service turned out to be a gift, allowing everyone to be fully present and unplugged.
We can’t wait to come back and see how the space continues to grow after construction—it’s already such a special place. Highly recommend for anyone seeking rest, connection, or a nature-based retreat!

One of our favorite HipCamp destinations- just finished our third stay here. Beautiful setting, nestled in the woods next to a rushing stream and a waterfall. Totally off grid - cancel all calls and turn off the phone. Bring a good book or plan to hike the abundant nearby trails, especially Crabtree Falls. The ultimate in forest bathing.
Best for self contained campers; the only amenities are a fire pit, a tent platform (sans tent) and a plank for a shelf/table.

Another perfect weekend at Meili Mtn. How can you go wrong with an idyllic natural setting, total privacy and off the grid location ? Oh yeah, it was ten degrees cooler than northern Virginia! For those addicted to connectivity you can drive 30 minutes to the brewery to get your fix.

Great location near crabtree falls and the Priest Mountain and Spy Rock area. The land is beautiful the waterfall is amazing. Hard to beat that with the benefit of privacy. The wildlife camera is to the left of the shed for finding and covering - i’m not sure if there is one by the waterfall it’s hard to find if there is. The waterfall pool is deep enough to lounge in on a hot day. One of my favorite spots I have camped.

What a great spot! Highlights include your own personal waterfall, a tent platform, plenty of firewood, and the sounds to of the nearby creek and waterfall to sing you to sleep at night. Plus it's right around the bend from the Crabtree Falls trailhead so you can easily get an early start.

Such an incredible spot! Cool to have such a unique space to yourself - my pup had a blast running up and down the mountains and playing in the water. Site was clean and private. Close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and not too far from some cool breweries/distilleries/restaurants. Highly recommend this spot if you don't mind not having facilities. Already thinking about going back!!

Dave's property is remote but easily accessible. The property sites are visible but well spaced apart. Both had electrical and water available. The road noise was noticeable but died off at night. The only thing we heard in the morning was the "clip clop" of the horse drawn buggies of local farmers.
Dave was very friendly and knowledgably about the area and local history.
The weather was beautiful, which made our stay that much better.
We will definitely stay again and highly recommend.
