There is a 1 1/2 acre pond stocked with Catfish, Bass, Crappies, Brim and Shell Cracker. Also there are two smaller ponds with minnows and one is home to Tucker the Turtle 🐢 . We have several trails on the property to walk as well. You are welcome to 🐠 fish for dinner but we ask that you notify your host if you want to keep some fish. This was a 55-acre farm, split in half to accommodate a bypass through Charlottesville, so the previous owners had to give up half the land, and actually moved the house down to the other half of the property! They had to build a land bridge to get to the new home site, so they turned the bridge into a dam and created a beautiful large swimming pond, complete with beach and gazebo. My wife Stephanie and I bought the property in early 2017 and have turned it into a private horse farm, adding pastures, a riding ring, and 6-stall barn. There are ~21 horses who live on the property. The property is unique in that you can hardly see another house from anywhere on the property and yet we are only 2 miles from Barracks Rd. Shopping Center, and 4 miles from the University of Virginia.

Route 64. exit 94 / route 340 / Waynesboro... we are 10 miles from that one. October 2023 we had a large group of permaculture students that was very satisfied. We will be expanding and developing in 2024, and add a large popup camper as one site.. FORGET YOUR TENT ? we have a few here you may borrow one, for extra 5 dollars. We also plan to add a nice fire pit, for people to gather around. Lots of open space here so campfires are ok. We welcome guests to our small and charming location 1413 Cold Spings Road, Stuarts Draft, VA. Near Waynesboro. if you want to come during our " off " season, contact us, perhaps we can host you. We are in a rural area, not far from a town, and on a lovely scenic road with no streetlight or stop lights.. Nearby the Blue Ridge hills, Appalachian trail, Sherando Lake park, several camp grounds many streams and some national forest.
