This is a rustic little spot about 15 minutes off Rt. 460 in central VA. No amenities, so bring everything you will need, but Merritt was responsive and quite hospitable. The land is privately located among a small hardwood tree grove, but has nice pond views to one side and fields on 2 other sides. Merritt and his wife are lovely people and fascinating to talk to.

Great property! Very well maintained. Merritt is very hospitable, he cut the grass before we arrived giving us plenty of space to choose from.
We caught pickerel, bluegill, and crappie in his lake.
Picturesque views all around the lake and rolling hills.

What a great place to stay. I needed a camp site to break up a long drive, and Kevin’s site was conveniently located but also remote enough to feel ‘disconnected’. The private wooded site is a perfect place to forest bath.
Kevin was super helpful and accommodating. Knowing I would be arriving late at night, he provided detailed direction with pictures to assure I arrived with ease.
Looking forward to another visit soon!
