We had a great experience camping at Drifters Ridge. The campsite is peaceful, well-kept, and surrounded by beautiful scenery—perfect for relaxing and unplugging. The site is spacious, clean, and laid out nicely so you don’t feel crowded. It’s a quiet place at night, which made it easy to enjoy a campfire and get a good night’s rest. Keith and his wife were awesome hosts and made us feel right at home. The kids absolutely loved the tour of the farm and getting to pet the cows—it was a highlight of the trip. The location is convenient to nearby attractions while still feeling tucked away in nature. We’d definitely recommend Drifters Ridge to anyone looking for a laid-back, enjoyable camping experience and will be back again ourselves.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The host went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and the campsite itself was peaceful, clean, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Had a great experience, not far away from West Jefferson or Gratsin Highlands State Park (Virginia). Host was personable and very accommodating. Would definitely recommend staying here. Also has a cabin coming soon on the same property as the camper site. The neighborhood cows were respectful of the morning and didn't start talking until they saw people.

My friends and I LOVED this camp site! The land was beautiful and we enjoyed waking up by the lovely creek. Dianne was incredibly helpful and nice. In short, we had a blast. It was so easy to get up and go see Boone, visit Blowing Rock, and find hikes along the blue ridge, etc. We will definitely be back in the summer time. Thank you, Garry & Dianne!!

We loved staying at Joyville! The site was so lovely and the sounds were so serene. We loved tent camping by the creek! The covered deck was great during the evenings when it rained.

This was our second stay here, had a great time with our first that we decided to bring some friends out for a group camp at the bigger site. This is such a great spot - private but not difficult to get to, and close to so many great hikes. Trevor is a great host!!

My Family of three stayed in a small cabin right by Elk Creek. We had breakfast on a little balcony overlooking the creek. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Got there during the dark, so not having to setup a tent was certainly a benefit. Dianne is a great host and so very friendly and helpful!

I almost want to give a 1 star review so no one else will discover this hidden gem, however, the hosts and location were so amazing that I just can’t! Don’t hesitate- book any of their three sites for your next trip- we had the dome and creekside tent site for the weekend and there was plenty of space. Next time we look forward to renting the cabin and creek-site together for a little more indoor beds but the dome has all the grassy areas to set up tents. Plan to bring cash for firewood as well- $1/piece and burns great!

Great place. Timed it at the end of October and had the tenting area to ourselves. The people running it are fantastic brought us our wood via golf cart and even helped us out with a jump the next morning for the car. We will definitely be back. A++

Absolutely perfect. Trevor met us upon arrival and he was so kind. Thank you for sharing your land. It was very private and could definitely accomadate more than just two people. The space is huge and peaceful. I loved having the picnic table right by the car. The smaller campsite #2 was not booked but we walked down to it and it's plenty spaced out i dont think you'd be able to hear anything if it was booked.

Garry and Dianne were so kind to share their lovely log cabin with our family.
Dianne was especially kind and sweet, and we truly appreciated their hospitality. The cabin was beautifully prepared for us, and there was plenty of space to pitch a tent right outside. Our kids especially loved fishing by the stream and roasting s’mores by the campfire. It was such a fun and relaxing getaway for all of us. We’ll definitely try to come back in the future!
