It has some magnificent old growth trees 100 foot tall. There is a good rd that my friend has used with his Lincoln. Most any vehicle (car or Pickup)can get to the site. It gets a little tricky if you are pulling a trailer. A small one is OK but a large one - not so much....... The rd goes 1/2 mile to the rear of the land. Moose, deer and other critters visit too. We live 1/2 mile away from where you enter the woodlot. Our house is on Brownington Pond (200+ acres) & campers can use this site for swimming, boating & fishing. Camp Ebb and Flow

Camp Ebb and Flow is located on the western edge of the White Mountains, near the crossing of the Appalachian Trail and a short drive to VT. Three lakes nearby for swimming, kayaking, and fishing. Hiking trails nearby. The camp offers RV sites with water, electricity, and sewer, an RV site with no hookups, and several tent sites. One of the tent sites has water and electricity and another has electricity with nearby water. There is an "outhouse" with a flush toilet and over six acres of mowed fields for activities and walking. There is also a lovely brook running through the property with many areas you can cool off in from the summer heat. This property has a lengthy history going back to colonial times. It’s been a farm, an apple orchard, and once had a sawmill. Please check the calendar for available dates. Check-in is no later than 9pm unless late arrival arrangements have been made prior to booking. Whenever possible, try to arrive before dark because there are no lights at most sites, which can make setup difficult. A note regarding electric vehicles (EV): If you have an electric vehicle and would like to tent camp, please select one of our full hookup RV sites. If you have the proper electric adapter for your vehicle, you can charge your vehicle at the 30A or 50A RV plug while tenting in the field near the RV site. We do not supply these adapters, and we cannot allow you to charge your vehicle unless you have reserved an RV site with full hookups. If you do not see an open site for the days you'd like to get away, please contact us. Sometimes we can make other arrangements, allowing you to stay.

Aa beautiful stop on picturesque country roads, and just a short drive to hundreds of miles of trails. Nearby historic sites, boutique shops, and delicious restaurants make your time in Vermont memorable. We are booked nearly year-round: snag your spot now. The yurt is nestled in a private space with fields and forests out the door. If privacy is what you are seeking, look no further. Our house is on the property, but you have your own path to get to the yurt, and cannot see our house. Enjoy morning coffee on the Aidrondack glider, get a good night's rest in a queen-sized bed with beautiful linens, or relax in the loveseat by a crakcling fire. A microwave, electric kettle, coffeemaker, and small fridge/freezer make it easy to prep a meal and heat up leftovers. People love the break from cooking. You are also welcome to use a campstove outside in a covered area with a table. We provide potable drinking water, as well as fair-trade coffee and tea. Inside the yurt there is a handwash station. The yurt does not have indoor plumbing. Guests use a beautiful composting toilet just steps from the yurt, constructed in 2022 and during the warmer months an outdoor sink with potable water. East Montpelier is home to nearly 15 miles of walking trails through rolling farmland and forest. Camel's Hump, Mount Hunger and Mt. Mansfield are all within a half 45 minute drive. The local parks department maintains lovely ski trails with panoramic views, and nearby ponds offer wonderful spots for swimming and boating. If you love life on two wheels, treat yourself to the miles of dirt roads and nearby mountain biking trails. I'm an avid outdoorswoman and will happily point you and your adventurous spirit to the best spots in the area! In addition to being close to several state parks (Little River, Groton, Camel's Hump and Mount Mansfield), East Montpelier hosts a dozen miles of walking trails through woods and fields. Montpelier maintains miles of trails behind the state capitol, along the North Branch River and in fields and forests just minutes away. Part of the charm of a yurt is that you are close to nature. Plenty of natural light pours in, you can hear the birds, and enjoy rustling of leaves. In the spring and fall, evenings can be cool, so you may want to make a small fire in the woodstove to take off the chill. In the winter, we start the fire for you so it's warm when you arrive, and give you clear directions on how to keep the fire going throughout your stay. There is plenty of wood for your use.

Both downtown Bethlehem and Littleton are within a 15 minute drive, supplying many choices for food and shopping. Rainy and need more options? Take the beautiful 1 hour drive to North Conway and visit the big outlet stores. Want more scenery and hiking? Take the 25 minute drive down to Lincoln and travel the amazing Kancamagus Scenic Byway (Route 112). This is 56 miles through the White Mountains with no gas stations, so you might want to top off while in Lincoln. Twenty minutes east you can get to the Mount Washington Cog Railway and will pass the Mount Washington Hotel on the way. Fifteen minutes south and you can be at Franconia Notch State Park.

It's a 10 minute drive to charming downtown Littleton with dining, breweries, shopping, seasonal farmers market, and Ammonoosuc River trail. 25 minute drive to Franconia Notch State Park, with access to Cannon Mountain skiing, Mirror Lake swimming, the Flume Gorge and Basin trails on the Pemi River, and 800,000+ acres of White Mountain National Forest hiking that includes Appalachian Trail access. 30 minute drive to the start of the Kancamagus Scenic Byway, which is gorgeous in any season and famous for fall colors. 50 minute drive to Mount Washington, highest peak in the White Mountains, with its famous auto road and cog railway to the summit (summit road open summer only). Atop a hill in northern Vermont the farm property is made up a rolling hay field, organic vegetables, flowers, herbs, and old hardwood maple forest where we produce maple syrup. The sunsets are some of the best in Vermont! Sandiwood Farm produces artisan maple syrup and grows organic produce, flowers, cannabis, hemp and other herbs. They also host farm dinners, weddings, and other events. You can get your hands dirty and work on the farm if you're interested. This is a 420 friendly farm with samples and tastings. 35 years ago, Bob and Sara Schlosser were married in the barren field that is now Sandiwood Farm. They have slowly built their home, farm, business and raised a family.

The site boasts of meadows and a forested area in addition to a melodious creek to sooth your night's sleep. Propane heat is available for cool weather or Winter camping in our Glamping Cabin. Take in all the White Mountains have to offer each season. We have a meadow for your own tent/camping, our own canvas tent with camping pads or airbed, or glamping in our insulated shed with a comfy bed, and solar charger for an extra $20/night. Compost toilet, solar shower, and spring water on site as well. You will thoroughly enjoy this serene nature getaway! 2 nights minimum required. Propane heat is available for cool weather or Winter camping in our Glamping Cabin.
