Sleep under the stars at an RV campsite in the heart of the Navajo Nation.
Made famous in the 1930s when used as a filming location for Western films, Monument Valley offers fantastic scenery with sandstone buttes and not much else. The area is Navajo Nation land near Utah’s border with Arizona, and is best visited with a Navajo guide, particularly to learn about the region’s significance and history. Development is limited in the surrounding area, making Monument Valley ideal for stargazing and wide-open RV camping. While Monument Valley has its own campground made up of dry RV sites without hookups, a few other RV parks also dot the area, notably in the town of Goulding. You'll also find a number of privately owned tent and RV sites available for rent from local residents, both in Monument Valley and in the surrounding areas.
