THRIVE family camp and RV

Located near Lake Tejas or Steinhagen Reservoir travel 2.9 acres into a wooded hunting ground and enjoy a weekend of natures beauty.  When you’re done setting up camp, hike the forest trails enjoy some vollyball with your friends and picnic under the shade of the trees.  Our sites does have water access, an outhouse with a flushing toilet.  Access to a rec area with volley ball.  We also rent tents upon request.  We have a 10 person tent for $50 a large 4-5 person tent with screened in area for $30.  We offer a move in the woods package as well.  A projector/screen setup and you bring a movie or rent one from us for $1 per title.

It is a home away from home in a great location outside of Lufkin, TX. AC runs great.We are located in a neighborhood, with privacy and lot's of room to relax.The Davy Crockett National Forest is close by!

Originally a dairy farm, with the old barn and milk bottles intact, then a miniature pony farm with a miniature stable to match, and later a vacation home for some quasi-urbanites. 

Now our home, our muse, and our place of refuge.

A place to share with friends and family and those seeking an authentic experience, here, on the ground. A working farm, a plant nursery, a garden, our forest farm, and our center for creativity, love, life and design. New to Hip-RV in Jones Country!

The RV has an open concept, so it’s easy to move around.  A comfortable sofa that can be made up with twin sheets as a sleeper for a child.  The bathroom is small and reflects a typical RV set-up (the hot water tank is small RV sized, so plan showers accordingly).  There is a built in bar for eating or using a laptop.  There is an area rug in the sofa area, but the rest of the flooring is solid surface.  You may want some slippers or house socks.The property is spacious and there is plenty of room for parking, even with a trailer attached.You may encounter pets on the property.  Also, this is East Texas— natural wildlife still exists here.  That includes an occasional snake, lizard, armadillo, and/or bug, among other things.  Warm weather is mosquito season.  Make sure you bring repellent.I provide a few snacks, as well as milk, orange juice, eggs, and butter.      If you’re bringing a pet, there is a dog bed, and food and water bowls.  I throw in a few treats, too!
