Our ranch tours offer a glimpse into a day in the life of ranching and Jeremy is very happy to share all the tricks he has learned over his lifetime with anyone curious about where, when, why and how of the food they consume. Learn more about this land:Vrooman Ranch is a full working cattle ranch on 122 acres in Ladonia, Texas. We offer one campsites at each of our 5 ponds and a creek surrounding property. Each offer a one of a kind experience. Fall asleep to the loud orchestra of crickets, bull frogs and coyotes. View the crystal clear stars at night and rolling hills with trees spaced perfectly for shade and privacy during the day. Vrooman Ranch will make this the most peaceful and relaxing get away possible. During the day fish in the ponds, walk by the creek, and take an educational ranch tour are a few interesting options. At night, make a fire and grill up some of our grass fed beef or chicken.On arrival we will escort you to your site on the mule and pick you up at a requested check out time. Underground tornado shelters are available on site in case of inclement weather. We raise cattle, lamb, egg/meat chicken, vegetable garden. We offer a homestead store on site to purchase eggs, grass fed and pasture raised for grilling needs and other essentials for camping - hats, tshirts, natural insect repellant, ice and fire wood.We promise you will have a truly adventurous experience that you won't forget.

Explore the 100 acre property that has 15 designated camp sights.... The closest two are about 100 yards apart. All the sights are near trees. Some Giant evergreens but most are near one of the 200 year old Pecan trees. Creeks meander through the woods and all meet on the South side of the property. 9 Horses, 20 donkeys and the friendliest mule ever! They Dot the property. Also deer, recoon, squirrel and an occasional armadillo may visit. A Great stocked pond and 3 other ponds make for beautiful fishing and photos etc.

This property has been in my family for 5 generations. There was a house and a cabin on it at one time, but now it just has the old cemetery and a small corral. The cemetery is notable, it being the final resting place of Wilson N. Jones (1827-1901), principal chief of the Choctaw Nation. Learn more about this land:Have a great stay. This is the first time my folks have let anyone stay on the farm. So please be respectful of the land. No trash/litter. You can see the stars at night in a way that is impossible in the cities. It’s really worth the drive. Perhaps bring a telescope! There are the remnants of long gone houses and a worn out barn. Interesting to look at. But be careful, your car might get stuck unless it has 4x4. There is a creek that runs along the backside to the South of the property. Sometimes it has water, sometimes not, depends on how much rain we’re getting. We only allow one camping party at a time, this ensures you get to enjoy the property undisturbed. It is primitive camping, no services, no facilities. Bring in everything you need, take out everything you brought.
