Walnut Canyon Cabins

We sit high on a hill (2000′ elev) approximately 13 miles south of Fredericksburg. Set along the ridge of our 15 acres, our 7 private cabins are fully furnished with complete kitchens. We have the amenities of an uptown hotel not too far from downtown. You'll love the peace and quiet of being unplugged, along with no cable or satellite TV, the fluffy towels and you'll be talking about the amazing breakfast for weeks. Five cabins have a great view up to 40 miles off the back porch to the southeast for a magnificent sunrise! The Siesta and Milky Way Cabins have roof-top decks for viewing sunrises, and sunsets and are perfect for stargazing! All cabins are secluded and private. The cabins are spaced about 150 feet apart. We have horseshoes and washer pits, and a large fire pit that can be used when the wind is not blowing and there is no burn ban in place.We are close to Texas state parks for hiking, there is mountain biking close by at Flat Rock Bike trails in Comfort.About Walnut Canyon Cabins-Fredericksburg, Texas-Welcome! We are Rhonda and Carl Rubadue. We are happy, relaxed transplants to the Hill Country of Texas from the Intermountain West. Rhonda is glad to be here away from the snows and winters of Utah, whichwe had called home. Carl misses his 4 different seasons and appreciates thatRhonda helps him get his "winter fix" with a ski trip every year! After working behind a desk for decades as a Human Resources professional, Rhonda has embraced and adores our place here and is thrilled to share it with everyone! While Carl worked behind the scenes in many areas of the hospitality industry and obtained a Certified Executive Chef designation, he now looks forward to playing in the kitchen for just a few family and friends. Most of all Carl enjoys meeting our guests coupled with the time he gets to spend with Rhonda! From our first tour of this unique property, Walnut Canyon Cabins, we continue to be amazed at how lucky we were to find this stunning place and with everyone who walks through our doors!We have 2 great boys, 2 incredible daughters-in-law, and two wonderful grandchildren. We are truly blessed to have a place like this for them to come and unplug from their daily lives! Now we just need to get the grandkids closer so we can visit more often!We continue to be thrilled to live in and get to know this beautiful Hill Country of Texas and look forward to meeting all y'all as you are exploring or just relaxing in this wonderful area known as "The Hill Country".

Sit by the fire as you gaze up at the Milky Way. We have 2 goats, 13 chickens and a pig! They stay in their pens and we provide food so you can feed them - please do not give them any other food except what is provided. Bonus! Guests can enjoy fresh eggs daily, when available. Located-10 minutes from Canyon Lake -20 minutes from Wimberley, San Marcos and Blanco. Wynona’s is perfectly situated to some of the sweetest towns in Texas! The space We love camping so much we decided to make our own Glamping experience in our backyard! The rental includes your yurt, but you get to use the common space!! In total we have 4 bell tents. Two tents have one queen bed and two have two queen beds. We provide two air mattresses to sleep total 16!! There are AC units in each of the tents to keep cool at night. Please note that the hot tub is only included if all 4 tents are booked. Our common areas include 2 showers, 2 toilets, 1 extra large sink area connected to the bathrooms, 2 grills and 4 large picnic tables, a bar and coffee station, a fire pit, hammocks and a rope swing. This space is perfect for any family celebration, reunion, birthday party, ect! It is tucked away at the bottom of the property so you get the space to yourself. IMPORTANT! There is an additional $25/yurt if you want to use the hot tub during your stay. Guest access When you arrive at our house you will park in our circle driveway and walk through the double green gates down the hill to the glampsite. (To the left past the house) The road is slippery/steep so please use the steps. Backpack recommended for easier up and down! You can roll a cooler down the (steep) road! The Lavender House

Our tiny house is situated in the Texas Hill Country and comes with a year-round hot tub. View the peaceful private outdoor space (and hot tub!) through the floor-to-ceiling windows next to the bed. The tiny house is surrounded by a 6' privacy fence in a wooded area. (A wooded area inside of a rural neighborhood). We are 9 miles from Canyon Lake and Blanco Texas (Blanco State Park) and less than 30 minutes from Wimberly, San Marcos, New Braunfels, and San Antonio. There are several wineries dotting the Texas Hill Country close to our property. Our tiny house is 288 square feet with a private outdoor space that includes a hot tub, string lights along the fence, and chairs with a small table - all surrounded by a privacy fence. Although small, our tiny house offers a full kitchen, bath, and bedroom area designed with comfort and beauty in mind. The mattress is a DreamCloud Queen with a range of high-end pillows for your ultimate comfort. When you open the blackout draperies, you'll have a view of the outdoor private deck, chairs, and the hot tub where you can soak all those cares away. The rest of the property is filled with our large vegetable garden, roses, chickens, and a beehive. We are an organic mini-homestead and are thrilled to share our property with you! You will have the entire tiny house and the fenced-in courtyard to yourself. Additionally, you will have a private parking space that is surrounded by a privacy fence. There are two other houses on the property lived in by the owners, but the tiny house is completely private.
