Sandy Ridge Camping

We're happy that we can open up our land for campers. Before booking please read the following information and site descriptions. We operate a pecan tree nursery and Pecan Orchard. On the south side of the farmhouse is a 80-year-old huge pecan tree. You can enjoy wooded walking paths in the 90-acre forest and pastures, ponds and wildlife, including deer, wild hogs, hawks, owls, roadrunners, doves, cardinals, jays, woodpeckers, mockingbirds, and many other species of birds. Small mammals such as armadillos, rabbits, and squirrels are often seen, and the property is also awesome for stargazing. Please watch out for snakes, scorpions, pesky mosquitoes, chiggers and ticks. This land has been a huge blessing to us and we hope you will enjoy your stay here. Arrival time should be no later than 9pm. Please inquire before booking if your arrival time might be later. Site #1: This is a big area and has room for several tents and vehicles. The ground can be a bit rough from chopped up bark and uneven ground. 

Outhouse is located near the farmhouse and in walking distance of camp sites; there is also a utility sink with non-potable water.

Plenty of history around but no exciting history of this landLearn more about this land:Three miles from Holly Lake Ranch with and three miles from Lake Hawkins both have beach areas, swimming, fishing, boating, and trails. Quiet but not far from food and dining!

This property was farmed by the Tawakoni Indians hundreds of years ago.We purchased this land as a place to retire,since we have always been entrepreneurs we decided to grow watermelons and this next year we are venturing to do also vegetables. We also donate many many pounds to homeless and orphanages. We love helping our community.Learn more about this land:We have the biggest FIRST MONDAY IN THE USA “CANTON” it is 12 miles directly south of the farm.
