This property was purchased by my husband and I in 1980 from Margret Cetera mother of Peter Cetera lead singer of the band Chicago. When purchased the home was a small non descript cottage with a pole barn in the back field. It has grown to support grape, blackberry and muscedime vines.The original home has expanded through time and around 20 years ago, the pole barn was converted into a large 1200 square foot cabin with modern conveniences. My husband and I actually enjoyed living full time in the cabin for a period of 5 years before returning to reside in the main house. The cabin consists of 1 large common space room with sitting area and kitchen. The antique farm sink has hot and cold running water. Also available is a large refrigerator, toaster, microwave oven, hot plate, coffee pot and portable dishwasher. The antique Hoosier cabinet holds cooking utensils and silverware and located above the kitchen counter you will find plates, bowls, cups and glasses for your use. The water is well water, pure and delicious without chemicals. The cabin is equipped with a full size pool table for our guests enjoyment. The master bedroom offers a comfortable sleigh bed, full bathroom with shower and just outside the bedroom is a comfortable patio to enjoy, complete with table and chairs for two and outdoor fire place. Also available is a twin bed tucked in the corner of the area between the main room and bedroom. For guests wishing to continue their exercise routine, a modern treadmill is available as well. Drive on in to a pull through site with full hookups. It's a gravel site with a concrete patio. This site is behind our barn. It has a picnic table and fire bowl with wood provided. It's peaceful and quiet with views of trees and the neighbors cows. You may see some deer and turkeys. There is a Dollar General and a Gas station 1 mile away. Convenient to I-65. It’s 30 miles to Nashville and 30 minutes to Bowling Green. Other places close by- 112 Antique Store, Sumner Crest Winery, and The Mint at KY Downs.

The land is awesome. Weather was perfect, so we just slept outside the tent on the deck in a sleeping bag and hammock. We were there when their Halloween Haunted Woods was open, and that was amazing to experience!

We had a great time at Hawk's Nest. It was so peaceful and private. We packed a lot of our camping gear, just in case, but barely need to take anything out of the car. Our dogs loved running around and exploring. The bedroom was comfortable and we stayed warm even though the nights were chilly. The location is perfect for hiking. We were able to make it to both Burgess Falls and Rock Island. We hope to make it back and stay longer next time.

This is a remote spot available no hookups but water available at main house. You are behind gates with 30 acres of woods and meadows, a small creek, firepit etc.

We enjoyed our stay at Hawk's Nest. Dan and Jo were super to visit with and very accomodating. It was a pleasure to be on their beautiful farm and feel so warmly welcomed. The wild life around the property is amazing. We saw possums, a marching procession of armadillos, the friendly dog Martin, racoons, and heard so many owls at night. I recommend it for a camp get away that will get you super close to Cane Hollow Rec area where you can access the lake and kayak up to the base of Burgess Falls.

Bobby and Courtney were amazing during my recent stay. I needed a washer for my water hose and they were willing to bring one up and Bobby replaced it for me. It was a very stormy day and they assured me they’d give a warning if anything dangerous was coming since I work nights and sleep days which allowed me to feel safe to sleep. I would stay anytime the site is available. Great spot and folks!

It’s a nice and quiet location with some cute cows for neighbors. The location is about 30 minutes from Nashville and 1 hour from Mammoth Caves. We would absolutely recommend this location

This is a fantastic spot! My husband and our 2 dogs only got to stay overnight on our trip down south but we live only a couple of hours away and are already making plans to make a full trip at this location! One of the best sites we have stayed at. So private but also lots of comforts nearby. The hosts have done a great job of maintaining this property and providing comforts like a fire pit, fire wood, string lights, chairs, etc. this made us feel at home and made for a luxurious camping experience! Full hookups are definitely a huge bonus!
