It over 900 acres of private forested land on Whitwell Mountain, which is part of the Cumberland Plateau in Southeast Tennessee. Take a hike on miles of trails comprised of forest paths, old wagon roads, or coal mining roads. If you find a chunk of coal on the ground feel free to take it home with you as a souvenir. Property has been in the same family for 150 yrs. The farmhouse is 105 yrs and three generations of the same family still live there. There is a barn that has one bed on what was the hay loft. The space is large and sleeping bags or hammocks can be used to accommodate up to a total of 5 adults. Space is not safe for children under the age of 12. Located on 24 acres of woods which are protected on the Georgia Land Conservancy. Lots of space for tents, small RVs and campfires. There are no hook ups, but we can accommodate self-contained vehicles of any size. Outdoor porta potty. Cooking on firepit in the rear. Pizza delivery available and several restaurants within a short drive. Choice within a short drive of whitewater, hiking, rock climbing, sky diving, sightseeing. If you are interested in more indoor entertainment, Chattanooga has many museums, art galleries, musical events and fall festivals. There is something for everyone. Grocery store and service station are located nearby. We are only 10 miles from downtown Chattanooga. Weekend Trip to Camp Chet

I love, love, love this place! It was so quiet and peaceful and beautiful! I will definitely be back for another visit! Owners were very nice and just wanted our stay to be perfect. Spent a lot of time swaying in the skychairs. I wanted to pack them up and take them with me! If your looking to unplug from the world for some peace of mind and spirituality, this is definitely it!

Weekend Trip to Valhalla Acres at TNcampground

We had such a great experience camping at Valhalla! Jodie was an awesome host—she responded quickly to all my questions and made everything super easy. The campsite itself was beautiful and spacious, perfect for our big group of friends. There was plenty of firewood to keep the fire going all night, a grill to use, and even a bathroom with running water, which was a huge bonus. Everyone had a fantastic time and we’d definitely love to come back!

Our stay was nice - the barn was unique and had antique items all around- the area was quiet and the metal roof was amazing to sleep under in the rain. Our host Rebecca was a joy to be around and was very accommodating. I will return in the fall if it is available as the area offers a nature lovers station for multiple local wonders.

Weekend Trip to Haven of Hope

Excellent time at Serenity Escape Treehouse. We had time to hike the landscape at the treehouse, Little River Canyon, and Desoto State Park. We enjoyed time making smores, eating at The Hatter, and checking out the waterfalls and surrounding areas. The tree house was clean, accommodating for our family and pets, and had some warm little perks! Excellent stay!

The cabin is perfect for outdoorsy folk who have people in their crew who may be more indoorsy. It is close to Ellijay and Carters Lake and easy to get to Blue Ridge. Would definitely stay again with my wife and young kids (who loved the bunk beds).

2 nights at Haven of Hope

The stay at the Treehouse was perfect. More than enough room for the (4) of us. The host had everything we needed and more. Super convenient to both parks we wanted to hike. You hear the roosters all hours of the day but we enjoyed it. If we’re ever in Northern Alabama again, we’d come back.
