2 nights at Casita Mística: Off-Grid Caribbean
This is a beautiful location and perfect camp spot to explore the island, close to Esperanza and Isabella. Have transportation lined up, either a local with good knowledge of the roads, or renting. Taxis are hit or miss. The casita has everything you need, as long as you’re prepared and don’t expect an Airbnb. Bring a headlamp as you’ll probably be walking a bit, don’t mind the rooster, he’s a good neighbor. Enjoy the island life!

7 nights at Casita Mística: Off-Grid Caribbean
I really enjoyed the simplicity but also challenges of staying off grid. Bathing in rainwater and watching the birds catch wind currents on the hill. All of the neighbors were super friendly, and the local shop, Mambo, was a great place to stop for a drink and catch a ride to Isabel or Esperanza.
