We also are located for easy access to local summer attractions, wineries, restaurants etc. Campfires and book reading have been very popular here at Bear Hollow! Check in before sunset for your best experience! (Late arrivals can be requested for an additional fee.

Bear Hollow is a special place. Valerie and George are sweet and gracious hosts. It is a privilege for the rest of us that they offer this heavenly bit of planet earth for the rest of us to enjoy.
Clearly a labor of love, the grounds are well maintained and spectacular. I honestly can not put in words how much I enjoyed my time here. I am already looking forward to my next stay.

This property is owned by the Dauenhauer family and was initially operated as a multi-functional farm raising a thousand acres in various crops. In the early 1980's the family began planting grapes on the property and now the vineyard is the predominate feature for the farm. Most of the vineyard production is sold to wineries located across the state, however the family does retain a small amount of grapes each year for their private wine label "Hauer of the Dauen". Our mile long rural road is great for family bike rides, bird watching, picking blackberries and other fruit in the late summer. We are close to the Yamhill River for some kayaking or canoeing. Our property offers a quiet refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city and being away from city lights make us a great spot for some star gazing.
We recently finished building our passive Eco-home and are in the process of creating a permaculture food forest by planting lots of fruit trees and other perennials. We have a flock of 10 hens.

Zenith Vineyards was a lovely, quiet place for conveniently spending an autumn night in my little tent while visiting family nearby. I simply parked out near the barn at the edge of a vineyard and pitched my tent on a level spot. I didn't need any facilities, so it was just right.

Tad and Alanna met me at my arrival for a quick get-to-know and what was needed.
Semi-private camp spot was close to chickens, but surprisingly they were not noisy (thankfully no rooster that I heard). Spot is off the main road so only road noise was passing neighbor cars. Crab apple trees were ripe for picking, blackberries already finished.
I spent my daytime hours away from camp spot and at the McMinnville Highland Games Festival where I was competing in heavy athletics. On my departure day, I received a thank you note expressing interest in the Highland Games after meeting me and stating that their family was their watching me, which added a nice personal touch to the visit.

We were camped in the middle of the vineyard which was breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful. It was just a short walk through the vineyard to go to the tasting room. The owners and their family were all very gracious and quite friendly and inviting. The staff was very friendly and informative about the wine and the production of the wine!
We would definitely come back to Zenith Vineyards especially during the harvest season!

There weren't many campgrounds around McMinnville so we were very happy to find this perfect place to park our camper van and have a campfire! The blackberries were delicious and Tad and Alanna shared some fresh fruit from their trees!

The property is large and beautifully maintained. It has a mix of shaded and open areas for camping and recreation. It was great for a family gathering. There's a great fire pit, wood supplied, electric hookup and lighting and potable water available. The composting toilet was quite pleasant. The hosts were gracious and we had the run of most of the property, including the blueberry fields for picking from the last of the available berries. There was some road noise from the nearby roadway, but it wasn't a big bother.

This is a great little spot with a picnic table and fire-pit. You can nestle your camper next to the tree to create a screen between you and the house. The spot is level and easy to back into. Alanna was very attentive when we arrived to inform us of where to park. We were here 24 hours- wine tasted in the region- great access to town and wineries. Enjoy!

We love camping at Valerie and George's place. Aside from the fact that it is a working blueberry farm, which in itself is wonderful, the camping space is lovely, private and secure. They have put together a very functional camping area, with 2 picnic tables, with lights, a great outhouse and water.

Beautiful spot not far outside Portland. Very private with two open field areas, one in the sun and one in the shade. My daughter loved picking blueberries in the morning. Valerie was lovely, and easy to communicate with. Would definitely visit her enchanting camp spot again.

Highly recommend staying at this location. The family that own this property are amazing and very helpful! Lots of room and fresh air to breath. Not a lot of traffic so it is very quiet and a great place to put your feet up and relax or go for a walk. Good views and some wildlife viewing including deer rabbits and birds. Can't recommend Kari's place enough!!!!
