Coastal Farm Sanctuary

2 sites · RVs, Tents1 acre · Waldport, OR
Since 2015 we have been steadily regenerating the soils and improving this once completely barren property. We now have diverse plant life on the property which in turns attracts diverse wildlife including insects, birds and reptiles. Your stay here helps us to pay the bills and keep making this small patch of earth better. Our property sits on a sunny bench just back from the ocean and just above the fog line. Our south facing location gets ample sunshine most days and is surrounded on 3 sides by a forest of trees. The property is fenced and access is by gate. There are two seperate campsites which are separated by our central garden and bamboo plantings. Each campsite is limited to two people maximum for a total of four guests on the property at any time. On most days the maximum number of workers on the farm is two people (your hosts). This is a low traffic area. There is virtually no street traffic before 9 AM and none after 4 PM Mon-Sat and there is no traffic at all on Sundays. Site 1 aka Bamboo Camp is perfect for your van, truck, car or tent From 4/20 until 11/21 after that please contact host for available bookings during the winter months (Nov 21 - Apr 19) Arrangements with discounted rates can be made for van campers. Site 2 aka Freedom Camp is reserved exclusively for tents or bivvy bags. (Site is closed end of Oct till end of April) Both camp sites can use the contracted portable toilet located on the property. We keep it clean and odor free for a safe and sanitary camping experience. Hand sanitizer is also provided. Bring your bikes, boards and/or other outdoor gear! Many adventures can be had here on the central coast. Your hosts are avid surfers and cyclists and can help direct you to the best spots to match your skill level. Our property is close to town as well as road bike loops, gravel roads and mountain bike trails. We're also close to the beach and that's how we like it. Within 15 - 45 minutes drive surfers of all levels can find something fun to ride nearly everyday of summer and fall. The 18 hole golf course is just down the street from the property and the town of Waldport is only 2 miles away. Yachats is a short 12 minute drive to the south where you can find amazing plant based food and they serve fresh roasted coffee along with a large menu of other drinks and treats at The Green Salmon Cafe. Miles of white sand beaches are located just down the hill from us where you can walk all the way from the mouth of the Alsea river to the mouth of the Yachats river. Forested and easily accessible walking trails are also nearby. South of the property is Cape Perpetua which is a 2,700 acre nature wonderland with whales, tide pools and blowholes. It is located in the Siuslaw National Forest and includes a 26 mile trail system. Relax and enjoy the scenic 15 mile drive from the farm to get there. The Waldport city skatepark and the Red River disc golf course are just 1.2 miles from the property. There is a brand new skatepark in Yachats just 7 miles away. Restaurants, cafes, a bakery and bars as well as shopping, banking and even an open air market (on Wednesdays) can be found in downtown Waldport which is a short 2 miles from your campsite. We have some items such as bikes, surfboards, skateboards and more options available for rental (options will be shown when you book your site). Surf lessons for beginner and intermediate level are available. Guided surf sessions for intermediate and advanced level are available. Bring your Electric Vehicle! There are charging stations close by in Yachats and Newport. Our farm is licensed by the Oregon Department of Agriculture. (*sunshine not guaranteed)

Rock Crick Acres

7 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents2 acres · Grand Ronde, OR
This hidden gem is only 1/3 of a mile off the highway yet all you can hear is the flow of the water from Rock Creek which flows along the 2 acres. There is plenty of spots to toss your tent. Personally, I prefer the bank overlooking the stream. Cool your feet on a hot summer day in Rock Creek (the main attraction). Enjoy the evenings around the fire pit. Complimentary 2 bundles of firewood, BBQ, table, chairs to use are available. Did you know the coolest porta-party in the galaxy awaits your visit? Attractions: Spirit Mountain Casino is only 4 miles away, The Oregon coast is a 25 minute drive as well as plenty of vineyards. Also enjoy 100+ miles of hiking trails. The trail head is only 1 mile from camp. I'm available to answer any questions you have and look forward to your visit. We ask if the ground is wet you keep your car on the gravel driveway and not drive in the grass (causing ruts). Don't be a turd. Respect the Hideaway. If you plan on partying and/or staying up late around the campfire, don't book this. I have neighbors and respect them. Go do your party booking elsewhere, please. Lastly, if you are bringing dogs, you'll most likely get quite a bit of barking from the dogs to the east. I just want to be honest and warn you. Those east dogs don't like other dogs for some reason.

Tipi in Town

1 site · Lodging1 acre · Corvallis, OR
We have a one acre lot in the city. Our 22' Tipi with access to a full bathroom (shower, sink, toilet). You may also camp in your own tent or vehicle. Get a fire going under our 20' x 30' canvas shelter and cook dinner or work on crafts (we use this space to teach bushcraft and survival skills classes). Pick plums, cherries, pears, apples and wild blackberries when in season. It's a 1 minute walk to access the best coffee shop and cafe in town. Our camp feels a little like you are in the country while being within walking distance of large city parks (Avery Park and Willamette Park), swimming holes, grocery stores and restaurants. As an urban site, you will hear street traffic on Hwy 99, and there is urban light from both a street light and the storage units on the North border of the property. The Tipi itself offers some barrier to these lights, however, if you want to be in a really dark location and see all the stars, this is probably not the site for you. We are close to Oregon State University campus (15 min bike ride, 30 min walk) and easy access to I5 (about 15 min drive). We host you as a family of 3 including our young daughter who might try to get you to pick blackberries with her.

Riverside Camping

2 sites · RVs, Tents1 acre · Lincoln Beach, OR
We have had a beautiful fall along the river and the central Oregon coast! We will be closing down the property the end of October to give the land a rest and the weather is not condusive to camping. Our area also has a potential to flood in the winter and we don't want to put any of our guests at risk. We do book up quickly in the spring and summer so we are taking reservations for 2025. The mornings are cool, calm and foggy but the fog burns off quickly. We are off the beach about 5 miles so we get warmer and don't have the winds that are on the coast. The winds do pick up in the afternoons but, die down for calm evenings. Our campsites are easily accessible by vehicle from the highway and we have room for tents, small trailers and camper vans too. The sites are grassy and relatively level, situated under large spruce trees. We are still in tidewater here so both sites sit above the river (about a 15' river bank at high tide). We have two campsites on our property but, to give our guests a more private experience we allow one group at a time. Our one designated site, closest to the river bank we call the Riverside Site. It can be reserved for up to 4 people. It can only accommodate smaller tents, campers, pop up trailers, small pod-type trailers and larger rigs up to 15'. The Riverside Site has a rustic firepit and deck for viewing the river. For groups of 5 or more or people or camping with large 10 person tents or trailers over 20', there will be an additional fee and you will need to set up camp in our Riverwood Site, about 150' from the riverbank. You will still have full access to the deck and firepit in the other site but, larger rigs cannot maneuver in the site without tearing up the grass and leaving ruts on our property. **Please note**When you make the reservation you will add an "Extra", ADDITIONAL CAMPSITE. When you make your reservation we require you to specify how many people are in your group. Children up to 15 yo are included in the 4 but, kids 16 yo and older will be additional campers in your group. We also need to know how you will be camping (tent, trailer, campervan, etc.). You are also required to let us know if you have a dog (or 2 or 3...). We have 2 dogs who love to meet and greet our guests and their pets so we need to know what to expect when you arrive. We have indoor bathroom facilities for our guests in a separate apartment we have downstairs of our house. There is a small living and dining area, kitchenette with barista bar, microwave and small fridge. It is about 150' walk and is visible from the campsites but, still feels private. All areas in the apartment are cleaned and sterilized after each guest. We have a couple of wastebaskets that are for paper towels but, we also require all guest to pack out any garbage. At the expense of sounding like a jerk, we have learned a lot being camp hosts and have found there are some things that are just unacceptable. We do not have garbage service at the property and to be respectful to the next guests, keep the property as you found it. We are a "leave no trace" property so please take any garbage with you, please don't leave any greasy areas from cooking breakfast, etc. pick up all animal waste and please don't leave any chopped/splintered wood on site. We also offer our little Bunkie, the Glass House for an extra fee. The Bunkie sleeps two comfortably. It has a nice mattress (Please bring your own sleeping bags), a comfy bench, a coat rack, remote control lights and a nice electric heater. There are curtains all around for privacy. You'll use the bathroom facilities in the apartment. All of our guests have full access to our personal dock to get down to the water. Feel free to fish off the dock, swim, Kayak, SUP or just enjoy the evening on the dock. We have a family of 6 Otters that you can see in the early morning, munching on crawdads. Enjoy a wide variety of wildlife; migrating and resident birds like Mergansers, Mallards, Canadian Geese. There are many species of song birds. You may hear a Bear of two making their way down to cross the river. There are deer across the river from our property and there is a huge herd of Elk at about the 3.5-4 mile marker. Our property is about a 10 minute drive to the Ocean/Hwy 101, just south of Lincoln City. There is hiking close by and miles of coastline to explore. We are happy to help you have the best experience at the coast...Just ask! A little about the process once you make a reservation: Once you reserve a camp site you'll receive a welcome message acknowledging we received your reservation. Then, a few days before your stay, we will send the physical address, directions to the property and on-site instructions for check in. Once you arrive at the property, there is a HIPCAMP sign with an arrow to direct you to the camp sites. You will follow the instructions we give you depending on the size of your group or the size of your rig. There are also "END HIPCAMP" signs on our property lines to preserve our neighbors privacy. Check-in is 2pm or later, check out is 12noon or before. To be respectful of other campers that are excited to get outdoors (and to allow us to clean the bathroom and make sure the property is ready for the next campers) we need to adhere to these times. FIRE RESTRICTIONS - There are no fire restrictions currently but, we want you to extinguish fires when you leave the property. We have bottles of water at each site to do so. Also, we provide fire extinguishers if there is an emergency grass fire. We don't always have firewood available onsite so you might want to bring a bundle anyway. A little about the property and us: We found this property, that includes the bare land we use for our Hipcampers and our house, just by chance about 10 years ago. We had only dreamed of having a place on a river but, when we found this place, it was over run with tall grass and blackberries. It was a lot of hard work to get it to what it is today but, so worth it. We both love the outdoors and have always loved camping with our kids. Rick is an avid fisherman/hunter while Debbie enjoys kayaking, gardening, reading and watching the river go by. Thanks for checking us out! Debbie and Rick and our two Cattledogs, Luna and Piper
