Clean filtered spring water. We have lots of fun activities for families. Our tipis are spaced respectfully apart from each other for privacy. All four tipis come equipped with at least one queen size bed, some have two, and three to four very comfortable couch beds, dishes, cups, silverware and pour over coffee maker and hot water kettle. Very comfortable bedding, sheets, blankets, towels, lights, pillows, wash cloths, robes, hand towels, toilet paper, blow dryer, vanity, portable DVD player, fan, heater, tv tray, luggage rack, fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide detecter, first aid kit, board games, cooler, propane fire pit inside the tipi and wood fire pit outside on your deck. There is a toilet for urine and foot pump sink inside the tipi and outside of the tipi there is a separate shower and toilet for everything else. The shower has instant hot water and lasts a long time for an amazing shower experience. Both shower and toilet are outdoors and on your deck but enclosed for privacy. Each deck has furniture, umbrellas with misting system, lights, and fire pits. You can see the outdoor movie screen from each tipi deck. We have a giant outdoor movie screen with epic sound system because hey, we don’t have any neighbors and we can have some fun for family reunions and parties, weddings or any other gatherings that mean something special to you. We also have an axe throwing station, hammocks, pickle ball court, basketball, trampoline, badminton, corn hole, garden, two ponds, one is a lily pond the other is very big and we have two pedal boats, a paddle board, floating island, float toys, and a floating deck and 155 acres of private hiking and mushroom foraging. This specific piece of land holds very special energy. Guests have plenty of activities, comfortable beds, lots of oxygen because we are tucked into a forest, and a peaceful off grid environment. You will also drink fresh spring water filtered through one of the finest filtration systems, The Berkey Filters. All of these factors contribute to very good sleep. Our guests biggest compliment is how well they sleep. We are also 15 minutes away from the Rogue River! We offer tours to the Redwoods, Oregon coast, Oregon caves, and a Rogue River scenic drive, The ghost town of Golden and the Wolf Creek tavern, which has been on the tv show Ghost Adventures. The cost of the tours depend on the cost of gas at the time of the tour. We have a fully loaded outdoor kitchen with hot running water, community mini fridge, induction cook tops, pots and pans, silverware, cups, dishes, coffee maker, popcorn maker, coffee grinder, spices and a spice rack, paella pans, pizza maker, bbqs both propane and charcoal, dish rack, cleaning supplies, mixing bowls, cutting boards, knives, and most cooking utensils that are used regularly. On Saturdays we set up a crafting table so kids and adults can paint, build, sculpt and create cool things to take home. We offer fresh eggs with advance notice and offer goodies from our garden and fruit trees when in season. We are located in southern Oregon near Crater Lake NP, just off of hwy 62, part of the Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway, more commonly known as the "highway of waterfalls" and near the little town of Prospect on what is known as the beautiful side of Crater Lake NP. Three waterfalls, the Prospect Cafe, and the Historic Hotel are all within a two-mile radius. If you're after that famous pie at Beckie's Cafe, you are 10 minutes close. Our 100 acre ranch allows us to host guests in their own RV's, at camp/tent sites, or in our new A-frame Cabin all located in private, and even secluded, sites. Several well maintained trails wind throughout the property and can be enjoyed by guests. Nature enthusiasts enjoy the hiking, wildlife viewing, and the beautiful ponds and woods. Crater Lake Woodlands is part of the historic Katydid Ranch. Once owned by Boise Cascade who used it both for growing seedlings to replant logged mountain sides and as a vacation getaway for their executives, the story of Katydid Ranch goes back to the early 1900's when it's owner named "Katy" used it as the "half-way" overnight lodging for horse & buggy guests traveling to Crater Lake from the Rogue Valley. Leaving the valley at the crack of dawn, they could arrive at "Katy's" by nightfall, in time for a meal and sound mountain sleep. They'd hitch up at dawn and make it to Crater Lake by nightfall. Historically, the first residents were the Rogue River Takelma and Latgawa native Americans. Latgawa lived in the Rogue Valley of interior southwest Oregon. In their own language "Latgawa" means "those living in the “uplands," though they were also known as the Walumskni by the neighboring Klamath tribes. Specifically, Ha-ne-sakh. The Latgawa were one of two peoples who spoke the Takelma language. They were hunters, gatherers, weavers and fished the Rogue River. They were known to have a stationary settlement and trading post at the Katydid Ranch location. Their tribes lived in the upper Rogue River area extending beyond Prospect and Union up to Crater Lake. Since we've owned the Ranch, we've maintained the custom of welcoming overnight guests and at the same time, we continue to honor the protected wildlife designation given to it back in the 50's. Wildlife viewing is one the delights we share with our guests. Please be mindful of native wildlife keeping dogs on leash so as to avoid chasing and barking at wildlife. Thank you. The animals here include, but are not limited to black tail deer, elk, fox, coyote, ringtailed cat, raccoon, skunk, and also typically farther up the mountain are the elusive mountain lions and black bear which we have never spotted on our property. The ponds and surrounding area are home to migratory to the Oregon Pond turtle, Canada geese, quail, wild turkeys, various owls including the great horned owls, hawks, cranes and eagles. Our pond bird watcher friends spotted Common Mergansers, Ring Necked Ducks, Canada Geese…and a Loon. The bull frogs orchestrate the evening and can be heard at times throughout the day. Katydid Ranch is a wildlife sanctuary. The flora and fauna of the forest is abundant and diverse. This land is home to many native grasses, ferns, and berries, wild flowers, as well as many other edible and medicinal plants and numerous varieties of mushrooms. If you are visiting during blackberry season, feel free to pick, pick, pick and indulge. Katydid trees include old growth Douglas Fir, Ponderosa, Sugar, and Jeffrey Pine, various Cedar tree varieties, Incense Cedar, the majestic Pacific Madrone, Alder, Big Leaf Maple, Black and White Oak, Dog wood, and Vine Maple. This is a great location if you are traveling/ road-tripping to any destination along the West Coast of North America. Take a day trip to Crater Lake and Diamond Lake! Visit the reservoir about 5 minutes up the road. We are a food forest - Suncatcher Food Forest! We tend to an established fruit orchard, pasture, veggie gardens, a pond with ducks, and a small flock of egg laying hens. We are inspired by permaculture practices and are always working on turning the property into a food forest with an off-grid guesthouse and lots of fun natural building projects. The yurt has a queen sized loft bed with cotton sheets, a warm cotton comforter with duvet cover, a woodstove, and a folding mattress. You are also welcome to bring your own sleeping gear. *LEAVE NO TRACE, just as you would when camping = please pack out your own trash* There is a wood stove for the winter months, a solar powered refrigerator, a propane stove and oven, along with a sink, and kitchen countertop space. Basic kitchen ware like: utensils, plates, bowls, Italian stove top coffee maker, off grid blender, cooking pots, pans, etc. We provide plant based dish soap, hand soaps, and shampoo. There is a composting toilet and outdoor shower with a propane water heater for warm showers. We make and sell refined sugar free fruit jam along with produce and sprouted and stoneground nut butters at local farmer's markets. All of our farm goods are available for sale. Be sure to ask about orchard raised fresh eggs, seasonal fruit jam, and sprouted nut butter. We are located just 4 miles down creek from the Galesville Reservoir and about 1.5 hours from Crater Lake. The site is easily accessible. You will have a view of the pasture, gardens, greenhouse, orchards and the host's private residence.

The composting restroom has a toilet and motion sensor lighting. On the outside of the restroom is the sink with hot and cold running water. As you continue along the stone path to the outdoor shower, you'll find a rainfall shower head as well as all the products you need, not to mention the most incredible views of the river!! Our recently added outdoor cookshack comes with a grill, large cooler for refrigerated items, bar sink, trash, and basic cooking and eating utensils. This space also has views of the river and large FarmStyle table and chairs for dining. The site is equipped with motion sensor outdoor path lighting around the tent and also the along the path leading from the parking area to the tent. The air is fresh, the space is brand new, and everything is crafted for relaxation and quality time with your friends or loved one. Take a nap in a hammock, play Jenga on the deck, read a book, or take a hike. There is something here for everyone, any time of year. Guest access The entire property (10 acers) is for your use. The driveway is gated with use of a keypad for entry. Other things to note... Wildlife will often cross the property, mainly deer, turkey, and some elk. There is over 100 acres of BLM land adjoining our property on two sides with miles of trails to explore. Breathtaking river views abound. The tent faces west, making for a nightly sunset show from the tent and deck. The woodstove may look small, but it is not a toy. With a solid fire it will produce 5k btu of heat, more than enough to keep the tent warm on snowy winter days.

Situated next to our home on a 55 acre farm, our yurt provides a peaceful, relaxing space for up to 5 people. THE SPACE The 20' Pheasant Creek Yurt is completely yours during your stay. Bathroom area in the main house may be shared. For the yurt, there is a queen futon for sitting or sleeping, a double futon bunk/couch with a twin above, dining table with chairs, sink and counter space with toaster/convection oven, mini-fridge, dishes and cutlery, coffee pot, rocking chair, wood stove, and other amenities. Your stay will also include space for 2 cars, access to the charcoal grill, deck seating, and access to pasture, creek, and forest to wander. We are located 15 miles from King Estate and other local wineries, 15 miles from the Covered Bridge Scenic Bikeway, 45 miles from Eugene, and 2 hours from the coast, the mountains, and Portland. While the location is quiet and secluded, we are still an easy 5 minutes to I-5. Yurt door is usually left unlocked, and we have not had any security issues. Upon request, we can provide guests with a key during their stay. Unfortunately these accommodations are not ADA-accessible at this time. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE People from all backgrounds are welcome, but hate has no home here. Please respect our neighbors - we tend to wave to each other while in the neighborhood. Other residents at this property include: 4 dogs (Frannie, Zooey, Leia and Suleyman), a flock of Romney sheep, 9 hens, 1 donkey (Gracie), 2 potbelly pigs (Hamlet and Pig), 3 cats (Jackie, Zelda, and Opal), and multiple geese. Farm access is available upon instruction (proper gate security is a must!) Unfortunately pets are not allowed at this time because of the animals. If you are a fiber artist--spinner, knitter, weaver, you may be interested in our fiber business Loose Ends Fiberworks, which is located onsite. Come stay on a portion of our 100 acres. Rent our 45 ft toy hauler RV or just an RV space. Two RV spots are situated together on a large private portion of land where you will be surrounded by cattle and horses. Creek runs along lower land. You are welcome to explore but please don't climb fences and make sure to keep gates closed. Verizon service can be weak sometimes. This is for those who want to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet in solitude. RV stocked with movies a couple puzzles and some games. Ask about farm fresh eggs. If the girls are laying, we would be more than happy to share. Small BBQ available. Bring your own corn hole boards, volley ball net, bikes and river toys. We have two livestock pens set up if traveling with horses. Water available. Bring your own hay. We have shared access to a private swimming hole on the Umpqua River(not on this property) less then 5 minutes away. Our land is near VA and Mercy Hospitals, Umpqua Community College, Umpqua fish ladder. Less then10 mins from down town Roseburg and DC fairgrounds.
