We have a composting toilet and many add-ons from a wood burning stove, bed, solar power to a shower with tent that will make for an enjoyable experience. A blend of forest to urban views with quick access to transit and shopping.

Crooked Finger Farms

As a working 67 acre organic farm, the property is very rural, but only an hour outside Portland, Oregon. We have gorgeous landscaped grounds and gardens, horses and a vegetable garden. 

Guests can explore private trails right from the property. And the amazing nearby waterfalls. Including Abiqua Falls just up the road, and 'The Trail of Ten Falls' at Silver Falls St. Park.

The Farm is also conveniently located close to several towns including Mount Angle and the cool little town of Silverton, Oregon.

Silverton has several excellent restaurants, great brew pubs, a seasonal farmer's market, and shopping. It is also home of The Oregon Gardens, a world class botanical garden.

Crooked Finger Farms has great history. The Farm and surrounding acreage was homesteaded in the late 1850’s-1860’s. You can still pick the fruit from the original heirloom apple and pear trees! The farmhouse, historic barn and outbuildings were built as a dairy in 1915.

Note of interest: There is a small graveyard located at the top of the property dating from the 1870's 

Please Note: Any artifacts found on the property must stay on the farm.

Luna Lake Vineyard Camp

We are a family-run vineyard and winery. Our property is diverse, hosting vineyard, gardens, forest and a small lake. The Luna Lake campsite is private, peaceful and a great spot to see wildlife or stargaze.

Silver Falls State Park, U-pick berry farms, The Oregon Garden and a number of magical swimming holes are nearby.

This gazebo would be super useful for more people!

I decided to sleep on a thermarest and sleeping pad because the weather was so nice!

The Enchanted Forest AND Salem, our capitol is only minutes away!     There are plenty of recreational opportunities such as hiking, biking or kayaking nearby.    Or Perhaps  you just want to read or simply relax?    Whether you prefer boondocking or are finding RV parks overcrowded and expensive... if you don't need hookups we have just the spot! Historic, Quiet Organic Farm

GeerCrest Farm occupies Kalapuya land, settled by the Geer family in 1847, and is still owned and stewarded by the family.  The house Ralph and Mary Geer built in 1851 stands and is one of the oldest in Oregon to remain in the same family.

GeerCrest Farm and Historical Society manages the front portion of the land and has provided farm-life experiences for all ages since 2007, along with day and overnight experiences for individuals and families.  Along with its history, the valley view, small creek and pond, farm animal, and diverse wildlife at GeerCrest is a truly unique experience. On the 20 acre property, we offer two tent camp sites, a tree house, as well as two woodland lodgings. 

Our peaceful, small farm offers a reflective immersion in nature and history among the occasional chatter of chickens and baaas of sheep.  The scenery from all corners of the farm is incredible - a favorite is the westward view of the valley pasture at sunset -- called "Homer's View" after famous political cartoonist and Geer descendant, Homer Davenport.  No matter which camping site you choose, the sounds of the creek, pond frogs, or conversing owls are sure to lull you to sleep.  

Please say hello to our flock of chickens, barn cats (they may say hello first) and small but mighty herd of sheep.  Explore the Heritage Grove of historic trees, the Memorial apple orchard and pear glade with varieties cerca 1840s, indulge your senses in our medicinal herb garden, ponder the historic 1854 black cottonwood tree and chat with our farm family while they water the veggie gardens, if you so wish!  Your experience will certainly be unique to the season.  

GeerCrest Farm is truly an off-the-beaten-path gem.
