One mile from I-5, you may pitch your tent or park your van in a meadow near some fir trees bordering Elk Creek. Feel the restful flow of water bringing tranquility. Follow hiking trails along the creek, through groves of trees, or play in the singing creek. There is another hiking trail to another portion of the creek to the right of the road that passes by the barn. A sign on an oak tree indicates the edge of the large mowed meadow that will take you to another sign for the trail to the creek.
When entering the property at the county road, you’ll see a big Century Farm sign on the left at the driveway entrance.
Continue past a brown machine shed. You will see two apple trees on your left. Just beyond the apple trees is a sign, on a big fir tree. This sign points to the direction of the campsite. Shaped like an arrow it points to the mowed path down to the creek and campsite which you may drive.
Uphill from the campsite is a trail going through a small copse of trees that leads up to the red barn. On the left, at the entrance to the barn, is a bathroom complete with sink and shower. Towels are not provided.
Beneath the apple trees is a faucet with potable drink safety hose and a bucket for your use.

Happy Bears Camp would really be suitable for those passing on I-5, who want a quiet place to park for the night. We are only one mile from I-5 (mile marker 80). Heading North on exit 80, there's a sharp 25 mph off-ramp on a downhill -Take it slow!
There are lots of reservoirs, and a few rivers in the general area. The closest Reservoir is 12 miles away. Crater Lake is two hours away. The Pacific Ocean is 2 hours 15 minutes away. Closest river is less than a mile. You will cross it on the way here. There is lots of BLM land with dirt road access in the area. There is hunting in the area. The tiny town of Glendale is three miles away, (one route is safe for bicycles). There is a Grocery store, bank, laundry, three restaurants, two gas stations and a bakery. There are also two parks in town. One has a Frisbee golf course. Easy RV parking in town. On the way here, you will pass one of the restaurants and gas stations with a lot big enough to accommodate the largest RV. On the property: You may walk around. There aren't any trails and the undergrowth gets thick quickly under the trees. There is a fire break to walk, that circles the meadow. This will give you access to the trees. If you walk up the right side, our neighbor's dog will make a ruckus as you pass their house. Don't worry, just noise. At the top of the meadow, is a lovely view over this part of the valley.

A very nice campout in the middle of a winery vineyard. Our host Kristie was very nice and helpful and gave us lots of information on the history of the winery. The site where we parked our 25 foot RV trailer. A nice covered picnic table area. Full hookups were at our disposal. Very quiet and peaceful area. We were parked next to the duck pond and heard them doing their thing and they sometimes came on land to pay a visit. Visited the wine tasting room and purchased a couple bottles. The vineyard was at our complete usage. We walked around quite a bit of it, talked to some grape pickers and saw the area where they make the wine. A nice tour of the area. Many thanks for everything. Highly recommended Hipcamp.

Lovely little secluded spot with creek access and a very nice bathroom. It was easy to get to, easy to park, within cell service, and our reactive dog was able to relax without a lot of other campers around. We also took the opportunity to learn about the land and the Applegate ancestors while we were there - it's an important part of Oregon and Kalapuya history!

Susan's spot is a great spot to stay! Especially for the price!! I camped here with my adventure cat Cleo.
The entire campground has a shade which is wonderful during the heat of the day.
There was level ground for me to park my SUV (I car camping), and she also provides a really cute green picnic bench!
Having a full shower was such a luxury, and basically having the creek to myself was so nice and waking up to the sound of the creek was so relaxing and peaceful. Surprisingly enough I didn't have any problems with bugs even though I was right by the creek and it's summer!
If you look up the history of the farm it's really cool to know that you're staying on a place that has been in her family winde the 1800s!
Susan was prompt in her responses and I appreciates her hospitality!
I would definitely recommend staying here and will probably come back myself!

We had a lot of fun camping on the Applegate farm with Susan. The campsite was nice, it was nestled among some trees above the creek. Our little guy enjoyed the water of farm equipment and wildlife. I think our favorite part might have been sitting under the billion stars that were out for us to see!! Thank you for having us, sorry our trip was cut short. We will definitely come back!!

Fabulous camp spot and awesome host! We meet our adult children every year for a camping trip and Applegate Century Farm was perfect, we had the creek to play in, there was plenty of shade all day, it was clean, beautiful, and private and the bathroom/hot shower was a wonderful addition.

The camp spot at Applegate Century Farm is lovely. It’s a private spot set in a grove of trees right by a creek. You park your car close by in a mowed field, which was great for set up/tear down and to store our food for the weekend. There is a bathroom with shower a short walk up a hill. It was very relaxing to listen to the burbling creek and birdsong, though the sounds of I-5 could be faintly heard on occasion. The landscape was stunning - oak Savannah in the foothills - and it was fun to explore some trails along the creek. Definitely recommend.

Incredible campsite! Secluded, quiet, and magical! Will definitely come back.
We usually don't take our dogs to public campsites as they are a bit noise reactive but we brought them here and it was a success. The doggies were able to chill, explore, and even swim!
The creek is really beautiful as well! Also, the farm was peaceful, great to walk around and the sunset was incredible!

Susan is an outstanding human and host! The campsite was very well thought out and positioned to allow for maximum privacy on this beautiful working farm. The site allows for shade at all times of day in different areas with ample tree cover. Nearby access to the creek also kept temperatures moderate even during high 80s in June. Having access to a private bathroom for our extended camping stay was a wonderful bonus too.
