3 nights at Upriver Paradise -"Private Retreat"

This site was amazing and very peaceful. Steve was a fabulous host and made sure everything was in order. The site was huge, had two hookups, multiple chairs, fire pits, and tables. It really had anything you need. Aside from big trucks going by on the road you couldn’t hear any noise over the river as you are set back. I definitely plan on staying here again.

What a cool and unique spot! Steve was awesome helping us get our 40' 5th wheel in place. It was tight, but we made it! We unfortunately had to leave after 1 night but it was a gorgeous spot. Will definitely be back!

What an amazing spot. You could easily fit a few campers in here. We were solo just cause we like it like that. The camp is immaculate, the host Steve was amazing. You do get a little road noise due to the proximity of Hwy 126, but it's well worth it.

Absolute perfection. This place is one very large single campsite with 2 seperate hookups for a family or small group. It is in trees just feet away from the Mckenzie River. It has been immaculately cared for and is a fabulous lay out and design. The host was thoughtful about everything including putting a bamboo wall around the porta potty. It is so peaceful with the sound of the river. We were there 4.5 days and never saw another person. This is now in our list of places to return. And I can not do it justice with words.

This was a great get away right off the McKenzie River. Beautiful camp site and has great amenities. The host was super friendly. We will definitely be staying again. Thanks for having us!!

Beautiful sunsets to the west and is 1.25 miles from downtown Brownsville, a quaint historic town of 1700 people located on the Calapooia River which flows through town and surrounds our 30+ acres Pioneer Park. Our community has many events such as Carriage Me Back (1923 themed festival - early May), Pioneer Picnic (Parade, festival - June), Rally on the River (Vintage Trailers - July), City-Wide Garage Sale (July), Stand By Me (1986 movie partially filmed here - Late July), Antique Fair and Classic Car Show - Early August), etc. Wonderful business to support and 30 minutes to Eugene/Albany.

Welcome to the river! This beautiful 10 acre property is located on the scenic main Umpqua River. Enjoy excellent, year-round fishing, kayaking, and swimming right from your private and secluded campsite. Our property is located between 2 boat ramps which makes kayak, canoe, or raft floats a breeze. The property features beautiful, mature trees, fun bedrock to explore, and an amazing swimming hole (in the summertime when the river level is low enough). Sit at the river’s edge and enjoy the sounds of the water. Be sure to watch for soaring Eagles, jumping fish, and the occasional mink on the opposite river's edge! There are multiple wineries nearby and lots of hiking trails within a short drive. There is no cell service at the property - please plan ahead and check local burn ban policies before you go. The "owners area" camping spot is a large, graveled, gated area that has trees between the road and parking. There is a port-a-potty for use in the summer months. There is also a fire pit on the lower level overlooking the river, a hidden tree swing, and deck with picnic table. The "site 1" camping spot has a driveway that is hard-packed grass and is not gated. There is a small fire pit on the path by the river. There are areas under the trees both up top near the road and down near the path that are suitable for tents. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a fully manicured campground. There are bushes and grasses that grow year round. We do our best to keep things trimmed and accessible. Sometimes (especially in the spring) things grow more quickly than we can get to them. Please don't expect this to be a perfectly mowed, backyard-type site.

Upriver Paradise is your private, gated retreat with elevated views and tranquil sounds of the McKenzie River that overlooks forestry land. Steps away to your private river access with approx. 150 ft of river frontage to explore, cast a line, take in the wildlife, waving to rafters and drift boats floating by. Included are two power and potable water sites, up to 8 guest. Power pedestals have 50-30 and 20 amps at each location. Both locations have a 50' power extensions(30amp) and extra water hoses if needed. There are two picnic tables, fire pit, extra seating, garbage, WIFI and one portable toilet on site for use during your stay. There is no septic on site for gray or black waste There is a dump site approx. 1 mile west. For larger groups if needed: Upon request (2) additional power and water connection sites can be accommodated with same amenities above, up to (6) additional guest or up to (14) total per night, for an additional fees. Then after some geographical changes to the family, they came back up the river starting in the mid-’90s, and this was a great family vacation destination. Even after we moved away after graduating from NBHS, every year, on the beautiful drive to and from the property, my wife and I would marvel at the perfection of the river scene and the many ferns and mosses growing everywhere. So much nicer than the coast most days. No cell service or wifi became a luxury as we worked hard building our dream life. This property is a part of what used to be just a dream for us; we hope you enjoy it as much as we have!
