The land of AHS (as in “ooh, ahh” - stands for A Healing Space - and awe as in ‘wonder’ - and ok, it’s kind of like Oz too) is an eclectic, countryside farm only 12 minutes from downtown Eugene, Oregon.  

The Land of AHS is located in the rolling hills off Lorane Highway. A beautiful and convenient drive to several popular wineries, great hiking trails, the bustling Eugene community, and outdoor recreation. 

With expansive views, yet nestled in the trees, you’re sure to restore your energy cache, drop into the wonders of nature, and get some much deserved R and R.

Woodland Hills Ranch

We are located on what used to be one of the stagecoach stops on the Applegate Trail. There is an ancient tree that was if the oral story of the land is accurate, the Trading tree. It was the place where swap meets between the local native tribes would gather and bring their firs, and other goods to trade with the white traders of the time. It's a peaceful place to be, the property backs up to timber property. It feels more isolated than it is. The nearest neighbor is 1/4 mile away. Learn more about this land:You can pitch a tent in the middle of 80 acres and feel totally isolated. Wr have a camping area on the front half of the property. Because of storm damage, there's a lot of downed trees and broken limbs further into the land. We are trying to get the land under control but it is slow going.  You are welcome to drive up on the dirt road and a quad could be used but there are no riding trails.

Riverfront RV Campground

Have an all-to-yourself! 600 ft. riverfront property 16 miles from the Oregon dunes with beautiful views of the Umpqua river and forested mountains! Activities for everyone including swimming, fishing, hiking, boating (we have a kayak and canoe onsite), or just relax on the double swing chair and hammock that overlook the river.

Please note, due to construction of the Scottsburg Bridge, there’s construction noise on weekdays. Due to the the adjacent highway there is traffic noise.

$85/nite per RV (there are 2 spaces); 6 people per RV max. Fire bans begin during seasonal dry times, typically beginning end of June through November.

Pets welcome, toilets, showers, kitchen, picnic tables, laundry, and trash bins
on site.

Deer Creek House

Isis and my paternal grandmother are in charge here. Permaculture. orchard. gardens. labyrinth, fire circle, cats, . wild deer, turkeys, herons, fox, river otters, red tail, bald eagles, rare bear-Fish and Wildlife are quick to remove d/t nearby elementary school! The fire pit...wasn't able to have a fire this time because it's fire season, but I imagine it would be awesome at this spot! 

If you just sit for awhile, you will most likely see deer walk by!

Dancing Creek Farm

In 1948 a wildfire came thru what then was a mixed forest of spars old growth conifers, evergreen and deciduous broadleaf trees burning intensely enough to render the entire area to primarily grassland. Today it is quickly returning to primarily mixed forest, recovering the ability to hold water at cooler temperatures as it once did.

Nestled on the south slope of Dickinson Mountain it offers plenty of sunshine yet some of the best cool freshwater to be found anywhere. Although much of this paradise is considerably steep there are ample cow and goat trails to make exploring extremely enjoyable.

Bachelor Creek which runs thru approximately 1/2 mile of the Southeast portion is home to beaver, cutthroat, western pond turtles, great blue heron, and many other wildlife.

There is a pair of resident Redtail hawks, wild turkeys, deer, bobcat, coyote, cougar, mink, flying, silver grey, and pine squirrels, owls (sawhete, screach, Pigmy, barred, and great horned), and many others.

There are also many swimming holes on Bachelor Creek and a tributary we call Dancing creek, although they are all somewhat small the water is nice and refreshing for a quick dip on a warm day.

This is a working farm raising cattle, and chickens. On that note please don't feed any of the animals as they could become a real nuisance. If you are going to be leaving your camp for a hike or swim etc. please secure any food items to avoid a potential disaster.

The farm is 170 acres (a half mile by a half mile) and there is a fence all the way around it. Feel free to hike wherever, as long as you don't cross any fences you are still here.

You can take a dip in the creek where it comes out of the culvert below the road and there is a picnic table at each site as well as at the dipping hole.

Camp one located above a stream and the access road. Good sun with lots of trees. Room for at least three tents and or large wall tent.

There is a cabin on our property that was built in 1929.  We moved here from LA to create a safe clean place for people to come a disconnect from electronics and to be able to reconnect to oneself!  Nature is amazing and healing and this property has it all, trees, greenery, goats, greenhouse and a forest.  We are currently creating huts from down branches (feel free to work on them too:) ) we have "benches" made from slabs of rock to sit on and a garden to meditate in or just hang out and laugh with friends!  There is an Art studio on site too if your wanting to hang out and paint... (there is a small fee for materials).  Hang out with the goats they love attention!Learn more about this land:Hey Everyone!  We have great views of Trees, Sunrises and Sunsets!  There is great hiking close by, numerous wineries nearby, two lakes within 30 minutes of us, and bike trails within 10 miles. We also have lots of greenery!!!  We have goats and a pig who love to visit with other humans!  We are 9 miles away from Cottage Grove which has many covered Bridges and 22 Miles from Eugene where the University of Oregon is located!
