Riverfront RV Campground

Have an all-to-yourself! 600 ft. riverfront property 16 miles from the Oregon dunes with beautiful views of the Umpqua river and forested mountains! Activities for everyone including swimming, fishing, hiking, boating (we have a kayak and canoe onsite), or just relax on the double swing chair and hammock that overlook the river.

Please note, due to construction of the Scottsburg Bridge, there’s construction noise on weekdays. Due to the the adjacent highway there is traffic noise.

$85/nite per RV (there are 2 spaces); 6 people per RV max. Fire bans begin during seasonal dry times, typically beginning end of June through November.

Pets welcome, toilets, showers, kitchen, picnic tables, laundry, and trash bins
on site.

Lost Coast Adventure Camp

This magical property is conveniently located 5 miles north of Florence and directly on Hwy 101, approximately 3/4 of a mile from the ocean. This is a large private site that is surrounded by old growth timber and teaming with flora and fauna. Campers are encouraged to explore, but be aware, this property is wild.. and encounters with wildlife are common. Beyond the adventuring that can be done on the property, Baker Beach state park is less than a half a mile away and there is a plethora of trails, parks, and lakes within 10 miles.

We do have full time neighbors just to the North, so we ask that you be respectful and cautious with regard to dogs/noise. Hwy 101 can be very dangerous for unsuspecting pets. There are several roadside campfire stations(directly across 101 from camp) offering small bundles for $5-6/night. 

**Be advised that we are slowly working on the property to eventually create more camping space. There was a lot of dirt/fill brought in over the winter of 2022 and the property may not be as green as years past.**

Where the property sits relative to the highway, lake, and ocean. Currently you can't make it to Lilly lake or the ocean through the property. To access Lilly lake please go down Baker Beach Rd and take the Lilly Lake loop. Our property consists of 5 acres of wetland is dangerously swampy to try and hike all the way through to the lake. 

Parking, you can pull beyond and drive or park anywhere on the grass.

Trip Camp Yachats

Secluded tent and hammock camping on the Oregon Coast! Walk to the beach and sleep in the trees. World-class trails, restaurants, brewery, and more minutes away.

Nestled on 20 private acres 1/2 mile from the ocean and just out of the fog line, Trip Camp is quiet, off-grid forest camping, but minutes from town. You can still hear the waves most nights! Plan to meet us before 7pm check in cut off for your guided walk to camp sites!

-GUIDED Check-in: between 4 pm and 7 pm unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Late arrivals void their reservation.

-5 minutes (or less) walk to campsites from parking

-No car camping, no large RVs or trailers

-All communication via HipCamp Inbox!!

Trip Camp is an easy 15-minute walk to the beach, crossing highway 101. Yachats is 3 miles away. It's possible to walk to Yachats via the beach and 804 trail system.

Cape Perpetua scenic area is 5 miles away and hosts many great trails. Heceta Head Lighthouse and the world-famous Sea Lion Caves are 18 miles to the south.

A small trail system exists on property which you are welcome to explore. Trip Camp backs wooded and forestry lands. Wild black bear and cougar live in this the area.  Plan accordingly.  We have never had an issue with one of these animals, (we suggest you store food in your car away from your camp area).

We generally do not allow fires due to fire risk, but are actively experimenting with options we that might work outside of fire season. Only camp stoves are currently allowed.

We are a working and developing homestead. Though the campsites are further back in the forest, upfront (and where you park) you will encounter our greenhouse, home, children's play area. Do not be surprised to see a tractor moving about and handling our ongoing farm operations.  If you've got elementary age children, our kiddo is looking forward to saying hello (heck, they want to say hello to everyone, who are we kidding)!

Private access road with only one entrance. Expect to see other campers on shared trail systems. Generally secluded, relatively private and quiet. You may hear the sounds of our homestead operations or tractor during daylight hours.

Accesible by cars, trucks, vans and camper vans. No access for RV's or trailers. Limited turn around. Depending on wetness and season, alternative parking arrangements may be needed if parking area access too wet.

More about Trip Camp:

Purchased in 2013, building out our property has been a labor of love, and is always a work in progress. We wanted to live somewhere where things move slower and where we can have a more intimate connection with the land.

We raise over 30 chickens, garden, and forage the natural abundance of the area, from berries to mushrooms.

In our forest, there are deer, coyote, rabbit, bear, skunk, raccoon, squirrels and chipmunks, various owls, bald eagles, weasels, cougar, bobcat, and any other number of critters.

The Trip Camp sites sit on the historical Spruce Logging Railway Camps of the early 20th century.

During WW1, some conscientious objectors were sent to work camps such as the one here to log the first and second growth spruce trees for the war effort. When they finished the narrow gauge railway system to transport the logs in 1919, the war effort was over and was taken over by private logging concerns.

River View

Glenada was incorporated in 1912 and disincorporated in 1922 after the town's sawmills burned. This side of the river was pretty bustling before the Siuslaw bridge was built in 1936, being quite a transformative event considering the ferry from Glenada to Florence was the main way across the river.

River View is located up on Glenada mountain, on the upper level of our three-acre lot. We have a free-range farm atmosphere, with 2 children, 2 large dogs, a cat, and 12 chickens. We allow Hip Campers to bring animals on the property with the understanding that they are good around children and other animals, as our kids and pets are often running around the land. We have firewood bundles and farm-fresh eggs available for additional fees. THERE IS NO TOILET on the property. This is not a tent camping site unless you have your own porta-potty set up.

This is a beautiful rustic property close enough to Hwy 101 to be convenient but far enough away to enjoy all the wildlife the Siuslaw River has to offer. Bird watching at its finest! Not to mention the view of Old Town!

This little slice of rugged heaven is just above the Siuslaw River and right off of Hwy 101. There is a steep gravel driveway but once at the top, it is flat and the view is pretty amazing. From camp, you can see Old Town. Gaze down at the Siuslaw River and all the wildlife that comes with it! We regularly see deer, red tail hawks, ospreys, and bald eagles. We have also had a bear that passes through, so beware of leaving food out. There are plenty of places to hike and visit nearby dunes, rivers, lakes, parks, and the ocean. Enjoy Florence's amazing food (ask the host for her favorites). Walk down to Old Town for dinner or bring back take-out and eat it in the tiny house (no electricity or running water). Take a short walk to Pricket state park for clamming or just relax with a book and feel the breeze off the river.  Whatever you enjoy, we’re sure you can find something close by! No bathroom or running water but there are 2 electrical plugs (110V and 220V) available.

Deer Haven Ranch

Located on a 10 acre family owned ranch. Set in a beautiful open area surrounded by mountains and forest. View of the Smith River and Otter Slough with access to boating and fishing just five minutes away.

The Pacific Ocean is 20 minutes away and the beautiful Lake Marie State Park is also 20 minutes away. It offers swimming for all ages, fishing and boating.

Quiet and peaceful away from the bustling camp grounds but close to a bevy of outdoor activities.  We call it our  Little Piece of Heaven.
