Its location on the Nestucca River makes it an ideal jumping-off point for those wanting to take advantage of the area's fishing opportunities, and there are a few basic amenities in town for campers who want to stock up on groceries, use an ATM, browse for antiques, or simply stop to stretch their legs. The Nestucca Bay Creamery and Cheese Shop is a great place to pick up locally produced cheese, handmade ice cream, and Oregon wine.
Along the Oregon Coast
Cloverdale offers easy access to the Oregon Coast. The closest city is Pacific City, a 10-minute drive away, while charming Lincoln City is half an hour from town by car.

Autumn is the best time for fishing, particularly for Chinook Salmon, while coastal whale-watching opportunities on the Oregon Coast are at their best from mid-December through mid-January and from late March through May.
