THE FARM

3 sites · RVs, Tents161 acres · Verden, OK
We have 161.64 acres which has 4 gravel access points at different parts of the property. The property has several oil sites and it does have cattle, however, it has largely been untouched since the 1970s, meaning we have old growth and new growth for trees and natural habitat for wildlife. This property has been in the family for almost 5 generations and we are working to rebuild after nearly 50 years of no activity. From my covered front porch I can hear owls, coyotes, hawks and other birds while watching deer munching in the open meadow. The property has three low water level ponds, meaning no fish - but the opportunity to hike, bike, horseback ride or UTV into and out of the creek(s). Up and down rolling hills. Watch a thunderstorm roll over the horizon while watching lightning from miles away. Enjoy stargazing and naming that constellation. The ponds do not have fish, but we are going to be stocking them within the next year. There are plenty of open spaces or covered (by trees) spaces to camp. We are working to restore the property including rebuilding several structures that were destroyed in the May 3rd, 1999 tornado. So, there is always a project or two in progress around the early 1900s homestead. We do not have any prepared sites so, you can set up camp near the house for easy access to potable water or out in the pasture. The choice is yours! Once you arrive we will work with you to help you decide.

Iconium Farms

15 sites · RVs, Tents100 acres · Langston, OK
Said of Iconium Farms from a guest through Boondockers RV and Harvest Host: “If you are looking for a pristine, natural setting for a peaceful evening, consider making the trek along the brilliant, red dirt roads and relax here. The music of dozens of birds sound like a choir and serenaded the morning and evening air. The sunset was a kaleidoscope of color, popping with magenta, ochers, and tangerine hues which later welcomed a brilliant lightning storm, illuminating the OK skies with spider lightning! Just gorgeous. If you are lucky, you will meet the irresistable landowner, a unique, creative individual who is happy to tell you the history of the land and his ambitious vision for the future. Brush up on your animal footprints. There are a lot to discover!” - Glenn H (cubbyvanlife) 1889 LandRun Legacy new venture in development. Lovely trails through wooded forests with dry creeks, gullies, and intermittent creeks fed by 1500 acres starting south about 2 miles. Tall red dirt walls along ravines that wind dramatically in southern portion of property. Creeks have water and fish, yet small perch with slow cascading waterfalls when rains have come. Areas to camp near creek. Big 10 acres field good for flying kites. Eastern Redcedar groves untouched for ages. Lots of no impact camping spots. Our Farm is in it’s start up year and we have and work hard. Some find it fun to watch and learn about sustainable growing. This will be developed further into glamping destination with disc golf course starting in a couple of years.

Oklahoma Donkey Dairy

1 site · RV38 acres · Jones, OK
Stay at one of the only Donkey Dairies in the United States! The Oklahoma Donkey Dairy is home to 35 Critically Endangered American Mammoth Donkeys. Our farm and our Dulce de Donké donkey milk skincare products have been featured in Southern Living Magazine, Garden & Gun Fieldshop, Fox News, KOCO, News 9, Good Morning New Mexico, Channel 2 Tulsa, and multiple local publications. Experience the Oklahoma Donkey Dairy in person, meet the gentle giants (American Mammoth Donkeys), hike the trails through the woods, relax in the grain bin gazebos with a good book, or just hang out in a hammock while the littles take turns on the zipline through the woods, teeter-totter and trikes, play in the playhouse, slide down the old school slipper slide, or play a few rounds of corn hole, giant checkers, and donkey tic-tac-toe. Everyone asks why on earth we started milking donkeys, the answer is that we never planned on milking donkeys, but sometimes God throws a wrench in our best laid plans! For our family, that wrench came on June 6, 2014. The day our 6-year-old woke up with strep throat which caused her immune system to mistakenly attack her brain. We were one of the few who got a correct diagnosis early, PANDAS disease (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disease Associated with Strep Throat). The top doctors in the nation said their "best guess was antibiotics every day for the next 13 years." This guess wasn't good enough. We cried a lot, prayed a lot, and cried some more. God ended up answering our prayer in an unlikely way, through an unlikely source...Donkey milk. In other countries, donkey milk is well known for its health benefits but in America, it was practically unheard of, made even more difficult to find since donkeys give very little milk! So we did what any desperate parent would do for their child, and started our own herd of American Mammoth Donkeys. These critically endangered donkeys are the descendants of President George Washington's first imported French Donkeys, royal gifts from the King of France. It was Washington's dream to create a breed of mule that would be strong enough to work this new land, and for this, he needed a large, strong breed of donkey to sire those mules. When the mule fell out of favor with the advent of the tractor and the plow, the need for Mammoth Donkeys declined, and so did their numbers.
