My family settled on this plot of land at the turn of the century, moving west in a covered wagon. And aside from a brief time in the late 80's it has been in our family ever since. For most of the 20th century the property was a small farm, grazing cattle and mowed for bailing hay. We are trying to rejuvenate the property and breathing some new life into this old plot of land.

The Hill, aptly named, is a hilltop that slopes down to a large pond that divides the twenty acre property in two.  With plenty of room to stretch your legs you can enjoy a nature walk. In the evening enjoy the night sky around one of several fire rings, while roasting marshmallows. Easy access and only a quarter mile from the main road.

Potential for Noise: MoKan Speedway and Active railroad nearby

Slips come with water and electricity hookups and can fit campers and RVs up to 30 feet.

Warriors o' Rainbow Horse Sanctuary

The pasture is quite visible from Old Route 66, nearly adjoining it. Therefore people traveling “the Mother Road” find it  convenient to stay with us. Grass is the best forage for horses, especially older ones, so we take care of our pastures, making for beautiful scenery for campers, too. Plus the entire back  mile is bordered by old forest. And there is a swimming hole not a half mile away. 

This is a quiet and private site, bordered by a neighbor's old forest on back, other neighbor's cattle pasture on side, and you're in one of the pastures used by the Horse Sanctuary.  (You are camping about 1/4 mile, more or less,  from our house.)

We regularly see coyote, wild turkeys, deer, fireflies, and the like. 

 We are just 1/2 mile off Old Route 66, therefore there are quirky little museums and great restaurants (for such a rural area!). 

 Plus we are only about an hour's drive from Branson. MO. which is a known tourist attraction.

There is an incredible swimming hole just half a mile up the road. We loved taking our dog there and spending the afternoon relaxing in the refreshing crystal clear water

A former homesite is now been repurposed as a camping site for those traveling through the area. It’s easy to access and has great 360 views of Kansas open areas. Great sunrises, and A perfect place to stop when traveling along your routes!

Being an ”on the road” videographer certainly has more challenges than I expected. You have to make sure that your equipment is ready at all times for every breath-taking shot that comes across your path! 

When camping with dogs, always make sure to search for dog-friendly camp sites before heading out. It’d be quite the bummer to drive all the way out to your camp site only to discover there are no dogs allowed. 

Usually behind the lens, but this time I’m in front of it 📸! Had to snap a pic of my first adult camping experience. Haven’t been camping since the Girl Scout days 👧🏻🍪, and I absolutely adored it 🧡.

Timber Ridge Campsite

Learn more about this land:Large field for activities. Wooded  Timber Ridge with 25 foot wide crystal clear creek running through property. Deer, turkey, and plenty of wildlife viewing. 

Noel Nursey

This land is accompanied by Noels oldest standing cabin and part of historic downtown. Across the street from Shadow Lake, downtown, city park, and Marshall's office.  Noel MO has a sorded past with many strange stories provided by locals. This specific land has sacred properties and a spooky cottage aesthetic. Old stories of Native American tribes and history much older are present here. Cave dwelling, the birth of this town, bergening of life that comes from the abundance of water from the Elk River, all happened here long ago. There are much older local folklore of elves, dwarves, faeries, and a Bird or Great Eagle worshipping tribe which resided here and perished here due to tribal differences.Learn more about this land:Non profit hillside. Riverside views. View city park, downtown, and Marshall's office. Lower land for private daytime camp with parking, easy access to river for swimming, easy access to River Ranch Resort for further accommodations. The lower and higher land has electricity. Included with nighttime camping clearing with 4 standard parking spots. Private space away from main road, with clearing that can fit 4 family size tents. This is great for a group that wants upper hill private, safe nighttime camping, with a more open space included at the lower land on the same hillside of Ester Street, with views of town and Hiway, Elk river views. The lower land has steep levels, natural rocks staircases, structures that are not permitted to be accessed but that do add privacy to the hillside experience. Downside is on the lower, although lifted on a whimsical hillside, you will be hearing large trucks and cars, a loud train that goes through town. You can hear and see people in the city park, with an open feeling and experience with downtown, and the Elk river. This lower hillside is perfect for daytime chill space between trips to the river or as you're exploring the area, it's a great place to post for the day and enjoy into the evening, with the more private camping up the hill where the sound of the train and trucks or cars are not bothersome.
