Welcome to Chippewa, a waterfront community on Indian Lake in Ohio!  Electric, (well)water is on 4/15-11/01 bring water during off season, sewer, trash included!  Bring your street legal Golfcart, Kayaks, Canoes, Bikes, Jet Skis, and Boat. Chippewa offers: State Park, Boat Ramp/launch, Public Bathrooms, (Waterfront) Moose Lodge, FOE/Eagles, Gas Station/Grocery/Deli/Beer Cave/General Store, Bait &Tackle Shop, and Dollar General- just a Golf Cart ride away! In under a 5 minute car ride you can be at Indian Lake State Beach/(Oldfield Beach), (waterfront) Achesons Resort, (waterfront) Tilton Hilton, (pool & waterfront) Froggy's on the Lake, and even a few other places to grab a bite to eat.

We are half an hour from Mad River Mountain, which offers winter activities such as snow tubing & skiing.

Pitch your tent in our backyard surrounded by breathtaking country views of God's creation! Our site is very quiet and just what you need to escape the noise of the city. Located just a mile from the small village of Belle Center, you are minutes away from Indian Lake State Park, and many local Amish shops. Also near Indian Lake is the Mad River Mountain ski resort, the Ohio and Zane Caverns, the Piatt Castles, the Neil Armstrong Air and Space Museum, and Marmon Valley Farms with horseback riding, all open to the public.  Also just fifteen minutes to two other small towns where you will find big box stores to stock up on your supplies for however long you stay. We know your stay with us will bring you one of the quietest night's sleep you've ever had, with all the sights and smells the country has to offer, and convenience to many nearby activities, all at a price you can't beat!

Grins & Pickin's CampFarm

Grins & Pickin's CampFarm was created to share the outdoors with others.  Growing food & flowers, camping & hiking is what we like to do. And we like sharing these activities with others. Our family oriented outdoor recreation facility is open on weekends only and offers primitive camping, PYO produce during the growing season, homesteading activities & nature-based programs. 

The peaceful 20-acre country farm has food gardens, a frog habitat pool, a barnyard for the chickens & ducks, a bluegill fishin' pond, a pollinator maze, a prairie garden, and an outdoor stage. After crossing a winding creek into 10 acres of woods, you may see deer, turkey, fox, coyote, mink, eagles & barred owls. 

In early spring, the peepers are peeping, wildflowers are abundant & the vernal pools welcome the wood frogs, salamanders and fairy shrimp. Summer brings on the bullfrogs, butterflies, dragonflies and fireflys. Fall is a great time to pull grapevine to make wreaths & to build stick forts in the woods. 

We cater to the tent camper so that we can hear frogs & owls instead of generators. But, there is an RV section up front for those with quiet generators with several feet of gravel under the grass to hold the weight of your camper.

We charge by the carload & there are different rates for driving back toward the woods for camping depending on the number of wheels & the weight of your vehicle (a factor on the wear & tear on the land). We believe in going outside to play, growing & eating fresh food, strengthening family bonds and promoting the awareness of our natural resources.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: 1) The speed limit is 5 mph as soon as you enter the property (kids & dogs are quick to dart in front of you).  2) As a state registered campground, it is mandatory that you check in at the house to fill out a Registration Form before heading to your campsite. 3) No glass allowed anywhere on the property (we don't want our feet or paws cut open and can do without flat tires). 4) Children under 18 must be attended to at all times for their safety (the frog pool is 10' deep, the pond is 8-10' deep depending on rains, and the creek can turn into a churning river).

Our host explained how she repurposed this half of a cattle feeder as an arbor for her berry patch.

West Wind Stables

We have owned this farm for the past 20 years, it consists of farm land, pasture and some wooded areas. Lots of wildlife around, and few lights to distract from the stars at night! We are close to several small Ohio towns, including Indian Lake. Plenty of eating and shopping options within minutes.

Fire area, bring in your own wood, or we can provide for a small fee!

Most of the views are of surrounding farm ground. 

We have constructed a little outbuilding with a camp shower and camping toilet for campers use.

We usually have around 20 horses at a time. Unfortunately, no riding, most of these horses are here due to health or behavioral issues we are working on.

LRB Farm Hidden Escape

Little Riverbend farm was established in 1996 by Dave and Traci Bitler. The original property was settled sometime in the mid 1800s with the main house built sometime between 1872-1875. Through several generations the property was passed between the original owners family members, then split up and sold into lots. When the Bitlers purchased the property in 1996, the main house was sold with 3 acres and the 2 stall barn. Then in 2015 they were able to purchase an additional 9 acres of adjoining property giving them the additional pasture and woods running along the Auglaize River.Learn more about this land:Pitch your tent in a secluded site nestled between a babbling creek and pasture. Located behind 8 acres of lush horse pasture, a mini working dairy goat farm and few chickens and ducks for fresh breakfast eggs. You'll have access to a fire ring, firewood, and a wrought iron picnic table with chairs and scenic views along the Auglaize river.  

We welcome you to meet Ella Fitzgerald the Goat and her other unruly animal friends!

Learn more about this land:Harrison Farm is a working livestock farm, with goats, sheep, chickens, rabbits, ducks, a horse, a donkey, and super friendly barn cats.  We host many events, including yoga classes, tours, on-Farm dinners, and private parties.  We are located thirty minutes from downtown Columbus, just outside of historic Canal Winchester, and only five minutes from BrewDog.  The hills of southeastern Ohio are close by, with Lancaster only twenty minutes away, and just an hour’s drive to Hocking Hills or Tar Hollow.  We welcome you to relax in solitude, or join us to learn more about farming.

Campers have the option of setting up in front of our historic working barn.

The farm is full of mischievous animals, including Little Jimmy the Rooster — who loves to crow!

Our event space is a restored rustic airplane Hangar, which can be an additional space for use by arrangement.
