This secluded off-grid cabin and camping site sits on the back of a 5-acre family property and borders an 11-acre green space. This private site is approximately 1-acre and has its own driveway. The atmosphere is peaceful and private, and there are no houses or campsites nearby.
The cabin has a small solar set up with lights, fans, a composting toilet, and charging capabilities. In addition to the cabin, there are plenty of great tent sites on the property. (Tents are available for rent)
The shops, restaurants, and outdoor activities of Yellow Springs are a little over a mile and a half from the campsite. Enjoy all the village has to offer during the day, and retire to your private 1-acre campsite and relax while watching an incredible sunset or a late night bonfire. (We supply the wood!)

Rocky Run Creek is a tributary to Seven Mile Creek in Preble County, OH
Small creek near residential area. Choice of wide open spaces, partial or full shade spots available. Short walking trail along the creek line is maintained. 'Rocky Cross' Geocach nearby. Please be aware that if we have had a lot of rain, the creek side spots may be too wet and difficult to get back up the hill with the wet grass. If this is the case, we do have the gravel barn driveway that can accommodate your stay. During peak busy season, the barn drive may have additional guests due to site, weather or general camping conditions. The barn drive offers a view of the creek area about 100 feet away and is about 175 feet from the patio common area. WiFi covering the entire camp and all cellular carriers work great here. 30 Amp electrical in many spots. White tank water fill is available in select locations. Plenty of room for tow vehicle at your camp site.

If traveling here from the South (only on Ohio State Route 127), please note the height restrictions on three roads that connect SR 127 with the parallel Wayne Trace Road. The names of the roads to avoid:
Consolidated (Height restriction 9' 9" under the railroad)
Brower (Height restriction 10' 0" over Seven Mile Creek)
7 Mile Road (Height restriction 10' 6" and very sharp turn to bridge)
Please watch what route electronic devices may may pick avoiding these routes.
A suggested route from traveling North on State Route 127 to Camp Rocky Run is to turn in Camden, OH on State Route 725 and head East to Wayne Trace Road.
!! NOTE on RV types !! You must have a self contained RV with on board restroom facilities. We have no restroom facilities available. For this reason, we do not offer tent camping.
!! NOTE on camp fire location !! The fire ring provided on the shared creek side patio is the only spot a camp fire, of any kind, can be built. (Sorry, but we have had too many damaged spots in the grass from the use of 'portable' fire ring units.)
!! NOTE on Class A RVs with towed vehicle !!
If it is too wet to access the creek side spots, we can still accommodate your stay in the nearby barn driveway but if you are unable to back up with the 'toad' then a detach will be required. Again, this is only if it is too wet to access the creek side camp spots. Generally we will be able to help you back in, but at times we may be away and suggest a helper in guiding you into the barn drive. Note, the barn driveway is not a pull through site.

Close to downtown restaurants and shopping, but feels like you are out in the wilderness. You must bring your own camp toilet, this is very primitive. It is not uncommon to see natural wildlife such as deer, squirrel, and raccoon. Fishing is permitted (largest one caught was 6”). Responsible fire welcome, firewood can be purchased on site. Several hiking trails on site.

This site was great. It has good access to the creek and it was perfect for the kids to plan in. There are two sites down by the creek and they share a fire pit. The fire pit is nice and paved, it is maybe a little precarious as it’s a steep drop off to the creek. But this was not an issue for us.
I booked both sites hoping for privacy, but there was still other people with us both nights. This was not a big deal as they were friendly, but be warned.

Great campsite just outside of downtown Yellow Springs. Joshua is so accommodating! We were so grateful for the cabin as it rained a lot during our stay and we were so happy to not be in a tent during the storms. We would definitely go back to Camp Yellow Springs!

Loved the spot. Was a bit hard to find-GPS doesn't tell you that you have to turn right on Opposum Road again to find the entrance. Next issue is recognizing that this is RIGHT NEXT TO a traditional RV campground. Even the host's personal instructions were a bit unclear. If you go left at the second "fork," as directed, you end up in the campground. What they call a first fork I would call a 90 degree right turn. When we came in at 8 pm, the couple who came to greet us in a golf cart asked if we were looking for the campground and we respondeded yes, thinking they meant Hipcamp. Very confusing. Once you get there, it's beautiful.

Wonderful! This was our very first trip in our first ever trailer and I’m so thankful to have found Curtis and Michelle’s spot to figure it all out. Fishing wasn't great but we are not fishermen. We had fun trying though. Lots of space to do it. Our grandson said he had a really fun weekend with us. The boondocking was a great well kept area. Just would be nice if you could have fires by your camper. Overall very pleased and will be back.

It was very relaxing experience for us. The site was beautiful, sound of creek was very soothing. Curtis and Michelle were great hosts and we enjoyed their property very much. We weren’t paying much attention how to get down to the site and a little confused when we arrived. I recommend paying attention to the directions on the property photo before your arrival.

A little bit of a lean getting down to the camp area so I’d suggest that you have 4WD to help you get out. There is a highway that runs behind the trees and river so every so often you’ll hear a big truck rumbling down the road.
Now for the good: Curtis and Michelle are very friendly and helpful. There’s strong reliable WiFi, water, 30amp and 110v all included. A slow shallow creek that you can dip your toes into with a swing nearby. A picnic table and fire pit with wood to burn. We’ll be back if we’re on our way through!

Very courteous hosts, we met and spoke a few times. Upon arrival Curtis showed us the best route to the camping area near the creek where there’s 30amp, 110 outlets and water hook ups also included WiFi that is nearby with unlimited data. Fire pit with wood to burn and a swing. We have a 40’ travel trailer and fit easily. The creek is shallow and slow moving so your dog can splash all they want.
