2 nights at Mariaville Goat Farm Yurt
Brought my girlfriend here as a little surprise trip for her bday and she absolutely loved it!! I was a little nervous about the weather but it ended up being so cozy inside the Yurt with the snowfall outside. Such a nice and relaxing stay with wonderful hosts that accommodates to all of your needs. Was so relieving to be able to pack nice and light and just hangout. We had everything we needed! Awesome hosts and a an awesome place. Ed made sure we had plenty of wood the entire time and was always available if we needed anything!

Weekend Trip to Riverfront Ritz Campsite
I strongly recommend staying at this beautiful camp site, Rita is absolutely amazing we had great time, watching the stars at night was very nice and relaxing. Lake George is near by for great times and views. I’d recommend bringing at AWD car or suv/truck. RITA is the best host ever anything you need she will respond and give right away. We will definitely come back in the summer.

Such an amazing weekend! Spectacular views, kayaking down the river, glamping at its finest with literally everything you need. Seriously, bring bedding, food, a good book, and a power bank and you are set. Rita is such a lovely and thoughtful host. We will definitely be back. Very limited service with Verizon which personally I loved to be able to escape for a weekend. We've been fortunate to stay at a lot of cool hipcamps and airbnbs/vrbos but this is one for the books 😊

Weekend Trip to Riverfront Ritz Campsite
Rita was an amazing host and the camping area was awesome! She was super friendly and walked us through how to use everything right when we got there. We loved being secluded on the water and spent a lot of time kayaking on the River. She really has thought about everything you could want in a glamping situation and it was more stocked than any other hip camp we’ve stayed in. We also had our two dogs who were able to be off leash and they had a blast! We would highly suggest this to anybody looking for a great experience

We can’t recommend The Dacha enough! We had a great time spending four nights with our pup cooking on the campfire, finding good throwing sticks, and swinging from the tire swing! The outdoor kitchen and view was just amazing! Inside the decor is simple but BEAUTIFUL you can tell that Andrew and Vickie have put so much time and love into this camp spot and it’s so amazing of them to share it with the world! ❤️
Just a heads up, there does seem to be a camp up the road. We never saw anyone but we could hear them playing horns and the bongos as well as singing everyday specifically at 8:45 pm on the dot every night. We’re not sure if this is an everyday occurrence or we just happened to stay at the Dacha at the same time as another event up the road. This would not deter us from coming back at all but did catch us off guard the first time that we heard horns in the distance lol. All in all we had a wonderful time and can’t wait to get back to the Dacha!

You will not regret a stay at Mariaville Goat Farm!!
Rick and Ed are the most gracious hosts I have ever met! They have such a beautiful sustainable farm and you would never expect the impeccable treats and food that was delivered by hand to our yurt! Just amazing!! And I cannot say enough about the goats! It was an amazing experience and I totally fell in love with all the goats (especially Audrey Hepburn and Iris) and Rick’s gentle demeanor!! The yurt was awesome and we had a blast. It may be off grid but so comfortable and welcoming! We took the goatie herd for a beautiful walk. I cannot say enough about the farm!! It was perfect!! I will definitely be booking again for next year!! It’s a must!!

Where to begin....
1. We had an awesome view of the river.
2. We needed ice and new gas tank for the grill and Rita was extremely accommodating.
3. We had all the grown up toys to play on the river.
4. The beds were comfortable.
5. Our dogs were so happy not to be leashed.
6. There was a working shower!
7. All we needed to bring was food, cooling packs or ice, bed linens and pillows. We packed two families in one vehicle.
8. Even with six people and two dogs we had room to move around the camp
9. Loved the kayaks and peddle board
10. Never needed to go to the town beach!

2 nights at Mariaville Goat Farm Yurt
I was not expecting the level of hospitality that we received during this trip. I thought going “off grid” meant we would be roughing but man was I wrong! I was completely immersed in a cocoon of comfort and safety. Rick and Ed are the kindest souls who spoke softly as they showed us around and gave us helpful tips on how to interact with the goats and how to enjoy the yurt and property to the fullest. My friend and I took the goat herd for a walk on the trails and everything is well maintained but still completely natural. I laid on a yoga mat and rested with a warm breeze and 5 goats laid beside me and rested. It was so sweet. 🥹 There are beautiful sculptures throughout the property that are made with things that the world would call junk… they’ve turned each piece of “junk” into a work of art….vines intertwined, a slab of rock with smaller rocks and pine cones artfully placed, pieces of broken mirrors lining up along a ridge…stone creatures here and there…I don’t have enough space to list all of the interesting things that we saw! I highly recommend all of the meals, which are delivered right to your door and arranged beautifully. There was so much of everything. Do not bring snacks! You will not need them lol! The yurt itself is cozy and stocked with far more comforts than you can find in any 5 star hotel. I absolutely cannot wait to go back! I simply adore Mariaville Goat Farm!! ❤️

The site was amazing. It came with everything you need. Plenty of potable water, dishes, cups, cutlery, tables, chairs, solar lights, kayaks, etc. Granted we came with everything we would need but if you just brought food and yourselves you would be good. Site was great, 2 big heavy duty “tents” with a bed and plenty of room for our rotties bed as well. We came with one other couple and our dogs but can easily accommodate another couple. Great fire pit and a separate couch and eating area with picnic table. Waterfront Ritz is an accurate name. If you like fishing, morning 7-9a and night 6-8p was the best. We got 1 sunny, 3 big carp and my wife pulled in a nice size pike (no idea how). It’s extremely private and it has everything you need. If you happen to forget something, or run out of beer, the town is 5 minutes away. We couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay and look forward to visiting again. 10 out of 10.

My husband and I had such a wonderful stay in the yurt. It’s beautifully decorated and very cozy. Rick and Ed are fantastic hosts and made us feel very welcome as soon as we stepped on the farm. My husband is a huge goat lover, and we absolutely loved interacting and hanging out with the goats. The whole experience was wonderful and we can’t wait to go back!

We stayed two nights and thought the yurt was lovely! Ed and Rick have created a very thoughtful, private, comfortable and peaceful space while providing very fresh and delicious food options. They were always available and accommodating making our stay laid back. They made sure we were always satisfied and were flexible with our needs. They made sure we were able to enjoy some goat time and yoga which was a highlight of the experience. Perfect place to enjoy some peace and quiet, fresh prepared meals, and relaxing vibes.

So grateful for this stay in the woods! The place is as described and is rustic with thoughtful touchs. You really do want a 4x4 to get through the last leg of the trip down to camp. You would be fine in most cars to the spot near the outhouse (up a hill from camp) otherwise. There are two bathrooms, 1 with a camp bucket and compost bags - for numero uno. And 2 for, well- numero 2 which is away from the site.
There is no electricity but rita provided tons of solar lighting and rechargeable battery banks in abundance. Very useful.
She came by each day to check our potable water and trash.
We cooked over the fire pit with grates and a camp stove.
Water was "low" per rita but we wouldnt have known if she didnt point this out. We floated and swam quite a bit- the water is very clean. She also provided fish food to throw out am/pm which thr fishes really liked.
We caught- and subsequently ate- a small mouth bass. Yum.
A reminder you are outside like tent camping so there are some bugs, chipmunks, maybe a snake. But its nice to sleep on real beds and not have to set up a tent. ALSO- it is between two dams so you may hear the dam alarm go off when they release water.
We will be back! 10000/10 for star gazing and 6 star review!
