Our property offers an Adirondack-style leanto and two tent camping sites for anyone interested in a secluded, quite setting well away from the road and the sounds of civilization. Camping here is laid back, quiet and relaxing. You may see me and my family working on the property or you may have the place all to yourselves. Either way, you will love the experience here as much as we do. Camp Forever is a very special 45 acre property, located within the Adirondack Blue Line. It has been in my family since the early 30's. My grandfather carved a small campground out of the woods that he ran from the early 70's until the mid-80's. Some of my earliest and best childhood memories are from time I spent at the camp. In the mid-80's, my Uncle took Camp Forever over and ran it until around 2014. As a small private campground for over four decades, Camp Forever became a special place for many families from Quebec and from the local area. My family and I recently purchased Camp Forever from my uncle and have by rehabbing the property for the past several years. We built an Adirondack Style leanto here in 2019 and have been cleaning up the campground area for the past two years. While Camp Forever will never become a "campground" again, I am thrilled to once again be able to share this unique property with anyone seeking good times in nature with family and friends. Located within the Adirondack Park, our camp is a private woodlot with a fantastic view of Jay Mountain! You’ll enjoy peace and quiet, with no road noise or light pollution. The eastern exposure of the site provides plenty of sunshine. Although you’re likely here to explore the Adirondack Mountains, our property invites you to truly relax and enjoy the surroundings. The driveway leads to a level area for car camping or pitching a tent. You’ll also find a stone fire pit with firewood available for purchase (honor system) on site. A unique timber framed outhouse is just a short walk from the campsite. As a rule, we leave the outhouse stocked with toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and trash bags. However, because we won’t be on site to restock supplies between guests, it’s best to come prepared with those items. We think you’ll agree that our location is hard to beat! You’ll see and hear wildlife throughout your stay. Listen for the drumming of a Ruffed Grouse by day, and for barking foxes, chatty coyotes, and hooting owls at night. Mollie Mae, our Golden Doodle, welcomes you to stay on her quaint little chicken ranch in Peru, NY. Our property consists of 2 acres surrounded by apple orchards, strawberry, blueberry and raspberry fields, corn fields, pumpkins and more! We have segmented a portion of the property for use as a RV/Tent site, with 30A electric, water, septic hookup, fire pit and picnic table, with plenty of space for vehicles, and room for kids to run around. Note there is no host-provided toilet here. Campers must provide their own. Close by is a petting zoo, playground and country store all open to the public. Many other attractions within driving distance. Mollie Mae’s Chicken Ranch also makes a great home base location for anyone interested in venturing out to the surrounding areas. Whether it’s spending time on the beach at Ausable Point campground, golfing some of the surrounding courses, paddling or boating the waters of Lake Champlain, hiking the hundreds of trails in the Adirondack Mountains, leaf-peeping northern New York and Vermont in the fall, or visiting the Olympic Village in Lake Placid, there are so many things to see and do within a short driving distance. We are just 4.1 miles from Ausable Point campground and Lake Champlain, 4.6 miles from Ausable Chasm, 7.9 miles from Bluff Point Golf Resort, 12 miles south of Plattsburgh, 34 miles from Whiteface Mountain and 38 miles from Lake Placid. You can also take the Lake Champlain ferry from Plattsburgh and a short ride to Burlington, VT, which is about 41 miles away in total. If you want an international, metropolitan experience Montreal, Canada is only 71 miles north, but still close enough for a day trip. PLEASE NOTE OUR PET POLICY: While we do allow pets, as we have semi-free range chickens on our property and families with children who frequent the playground, petting zoo and corn maze next door, we do not allow any potentially aggressive breeds of pets including bully breeds. 2 nights at Camp Forever

We recently had a great time at the Tamarack Tent site. This was my 2nd time camping on the property, and our group thoroughly enjoyed it again. There was plenty of deadwood for us to collect and burn to keep our fire going, and the fire pit, screen house, and general campsite area were all clean and prepared for our arrival. We enjoyed many great campfire meals, hiking nearby, and relaxing on the property. At night, the sky was incredibly clear, which made for great star viewing! We also enjoyed seeing the fall foliage of the surrounding landscape. It's a beautiful area. We plan to visit again next year!

Jason and Kim are extraordinary hosts — very thoughtful and welcoming. The property is lovely and well maintained, with a fire pit and comfortable Adirondack chairs. Kim even let our daughters help her feed the chickens — such a fun and surprising experience! We loved our stay and will definitely be back next year to enjoy it again and pick apples at the nearby orchard.

Great, flat site with full hookups! My kids loved all the animals and playground within a short walk of the site. It was partially shaded, which was great to be out of the direct afternoon soon. Hosts were wonderful as well!

What a beautiful property! I had a great stay, Bill was super responsive and I had everything I needed in the cabin. It was a fun hike up to Mt Pelkey. The snow made it a true winter wonderland ❄️ The cabin was very private but close enough to the road that it wasn’t a hassle to get in and out. Great host, great property, highly recommend!
