Located within the Adirondack Park, our camp is a private woodlot with a fantastic view of Jay Mountain! You’ll enjoy peace and quiet, with no road noise or light pollution. The eastern exposure of the site provides plenty of sunshine. Although you’re likely here to explore the Adirondack Mountains, our property invites you to truly relax and enjoy the surroundings. The driveway leads to a level area for car camping or pitching a tent. You’ll also find a stone fire pit with firewood available for purchase (honor system) on site. A unique timber framed outhouse is just a short walk from the campsite. As a rule, we leave the outhouse stocked with toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and trash bags. However, because we won’t be on site to restock supplies between guests, it’s best to come prepared with those items. We think you’ll agree that our location is hard to beat! You’ll see and hear wildlife throughout your stay. Listen for the drumming of a Ruffed Grouse by day, and for barking foxes, chatty coyotes, and hooting owls at night. The hardpack driveway is perfect for campervans, truck campers, and drivables. If you're bringing a towable, please note that expertise in backing down a tricky driveway is required, as there's limited turnaround space at the parking area. Feel free to utilize our fire ring for campfires, when there isnt a fire ban in place. You may collect sticks and wood that is on the ground. If you would like larger pieces of firewood please let me know. You may back up next to our deck and use the picnic table and charcoal grill (please bring your own charcoal, as none is provided).

Just as described- a lovely spot to stay. The port-a-potty was pleasant, the sink with a hose made it easy to keep everything clean and everyone hydrated, and the fire pit and picnic table were fun additions to our afternoons and evenings. jThe spot felt special because of the river's morning fog and evening beaver. I'd recommend staying here and I'd stay here again.

Ken hosts one of the most incredible campsites I’ve had the pleasure of staying at, and it doesn’t hurt that he’s one of the kindest souls I’ve met too! Make sure to bring a camera when you visit, the view is not something you’ll want to forget, nor the beautiful sites around the campground. This is a must-stay, and I won’t be surprised if Ken ends up being booked year-round!!! (Also, we recommend a car with higher suspension and four wheel drive as to make the trip up to the lean-to easier!) Thanks Ken :)

This is my second time staying on James’s property at site 2 with my dog! We loved it just as much as the first time. James and Debbie are super welcoming and easy to reach if you need anything. Porta potty was exceptionally clean! There’s an outdoor shower as well which I didn’t end up using, and also a sink where you can wash your dishes, etc. Site 2 has the most direct views over the water, so that’s why it’s been our favorite. Hope to be back again next year!

Ken’s site is just perfect. To die for view. Very nice lean to with a hammock where we stood our tent. Clear instructions. He sent a map and called to make sure we will settle good. You need a four wheel vehicle to get close to the lean to. Otherwise, there’s a nice campsite near the bathhouse as well. We loved our stay here. Felt super safe. And the outhouse is very accessible too if you need to go in the middle of the night. Thank you, Ken!

This place is a beautiful gem. The site we were in was very private. Had a little trail down to the river which was basically a private little beach area. The owner is a cool dude and did everything to help make the trip that much better. Would recommend this to anyone, in fact I already have to a bunch of my friends. Would definitely go back.

James took great care of his property. The site was very spacious and allowed a lot of freedom to be in shade or sun. Pota-potty was very clean and the outdoor shower was nice to rinse off after day of hiking and paddling. James had great recommendations for SUPing with the pups and it was an extra bonus to meet his new puppy! Highly recommend!

Jim’s land was clean and well manicured, and he was a very personable host. While there is river view, there is no river access. Also good to note is that the bathroom/shower area is directly behind site 2, so if other campers are staying at the sites, you will see them.
