Stretching 5 acres along the river, this waterfront beauty features a fun trail path with mini waterfalls, serene pond, and plenty of space to stretch out for camping and RV parking. Visitors can fish, camp, and relax by the water and enjoy the peaceful friendly community that is Cortlandville. There's a waterfront treeline for pups to be semi-free range, or if your pup is well behaved they are welcome to be off leash! There is a hammock and swing set for both kids and medium sized adults. Amenities include a cooking fire pit, outdoor portable toilet, bench table and couch, with local recommendations and guides from the owners for around town just 2min from the site to stores as well as our guide to the Finger lakes!

Hawk Meadow Farm

Enjoy a retreat into the woods on Hawk Meadow Farm’s spacious 68 acres. We are a working farm who specializes in woodland mushroom cultivation, medicinal tinctures and earth based education. Our farming practices and products are based in Regenerative Farming, Chinese Medicine and a deep love and respect for the natural world, always striving to work in harmony with nature. This approach is a collaboration with the land which creates the conditions for plants, animals and people to thrive! Many of our campers have been delighted to discover the variety of song birds and other wildlife that they have seen just hanging out at the campsite. 

When you stay with us you will enjoy spacious, private campsites with a generous amount of firewood included in your booking! All of our sites can be accessed by car and located near one of two compost-style outhouses.
We also have a farm store where you can find our products and we often have fresh shiitakes available for purchase.

Laughing Goat Fiber Farm

Laughing Goat Fiber Farm is a working farm, raising exotic fiber animals such as

Angora and Cashmere goats, alpacas. 

 The fiber is processed on farm and

regionally and everything made from it is hand dyed.

 Many items are one of a kind and hand made.

 A small retail shop in our renovated Carriage House showcases the knitting looms that we make items on, as well as knitting machines from 100 years ago.

 The property has beautiful views overlooking the Cayuga Lake Valley and Ithaca.

Pitch your tent on the back 40 acres of a working goat farm.  Site #1 has a tent platform, table and firepit. The 12 x 16 tent platform backs up to the mature hedgerow of maples and oaks for afternoon shade, and the campsite overlooks Ithaca's Inlet Valley.  The platform is just a 4 minute walk to the main house, and you'll have complete privacy.

Site #2 has a table and firepit, but no platform.  

Site #3 has a table and firepit but no platform.  It is a level spot on the pasture where you can pitch a tent or park a vehicle.

Sanctuary in the woods tent camp

After traveling and living around the world, raising my kids... you can return home. I craved the seasons and the woods and some quiet peaceful land. I feel in love with this property as it had the perfect spot in the middle of the ten acres for a primitive camp, not to far from the house and driveway so very easy assess. A short walk up a trail.  It is private and has lots of wildlife, the deers cross every morning and evening. We added another tent camp lower down on land near creek. It is a short 10 miles to Ithaca for provisions and other types of activities, or just stay and play on the land, fish, swim, hike, swing, rest, read, write, meditate, dream.  come in peace or come to rediscover your peace. We have 10 forested hilly acres 12 miles from Ithaca. We’ve built a camp with a covered dry lean-to with a double bed platform inside to put your sleeping bags or to put supplies off the ground and dry. Lots of room for tents. We have a primitive upper camp where you can also put tents for privacy. There’s a teepee with a wood base. The campfire has a grill, 2 homemade benches & an Adirondack chair. An orange hammock and also a picnic table. There’s a fun homemade swing & seesaw. We made many marked walking trails around our land to enjoy. There is access to well water. Dry cut Firewood is available for $7 a bundle in cash at the property or you can add extras with booking for $7.70 per bundle. Portable toilet outside,  outdoor private shower.

Come enjoy. It is very quiet. We are close to Treman, Buttermilk And Taughannock State Parks which all have swimming. Watkins Glen State Park and racetrack is half an hour away. Watkins Glen is breathtakingly magnificent. Also great cross country skiing, walking and hunting nearby at Connecticut Hill. There is downhill skiing at Greek Peak 45 minutes away if you are winter campers. We are 14 miles from Cornell University and 10 miles from Ithaca College. We are between two finger lakes, Cayuga and Seneca, there are 60 wineries and breweries around the lakes.Woman’s Rights National Museum in Seneca Falls, Corning Museum of Glass is fabulous. Ithaca has theatres, museums for art and lots to do for kids like a public pool on the lake.Or simply hang out and enjoy our ten private acres of forest. Camp Earth Connection

Camp Earth Connection is located in the town of Dryden, NY just 12 miles from Ithaca, NY.  Camp Earth Connection offers a relaxing stay with a variety of camping options including Log Cabins, Rustic Cabins, AdirondackLean-To's and Tent-Sites.  Each site has privacy, picnic tables and grills or fire pits.  Camp Earth Connection is an alcohol and drug free facility, offering guests the opportunity to connect with nature and each other in a serene and beautiful natural setting.   The Hammond Hill trail system, which offers hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing connects to the 950 mileFinger Lakes Trail system.  Wildlife is abundant in the area. It is common to hear the Coyotes and Owls throughout the day.  In addition,Mink, Fishers, Bald Eagles, Turkey Buzzards, Porcupines, Raccoons, Skunks, Wild Turkeys, Ravens, Grouse, Red and Grey Fox and an occasional Black Bear are some of the inhabitants of the local forest.

Guests can choose to have some peaceful alone time or be more engaged in our small community during our community campfires, campfire pancake breakfasts or workshops.  Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, Camp Earth Connection offers a variety of activities and workshops such as:

Valley View Camp

WE ALLOW A MAXIMIUM OF 4 CAMPING GROUPS AT A TIME.  We have 8 sites to choose from but,  due to Town rules more than 4 camping any given night is tooo many.  So, 4 acres 4 camping groups.  We are advertising a "RUSTIC CAMPING EXPERIENCE".  This isn't the state or county owned or run site.  We want you to come and be clean and considerate and have a great experience!  I walked many lots over the previous several years and this pasture was perfect. This location is a work in progress.  The pictures are over a few years and when you get there the hay could be high, it could have just been cut.

A classic Fingerlakes view into the valley without having to leave the site!

The campfire area seemed to be overgrown a bit for my stay, but there was firewood in ample supply. 

Clear skies meant pulling off the rain fly and enjoying a bug free sunset while relaxing in the tent!

The huge field is filled with purple wildflowers (and lots of bugs - thankfully not many mosquitoes though)
