Camp TedRock Adirondack Forest Retreat provides private and secluded off grid campsites and structures on 5 forested acres within the Blue Line of The Adirondack State Park in Thurman New York. Just minutes from I-87 and the Lake George Region, our A Frame site offers a 120 square foot authentic A-Frame cabin with an open Adirondack Lean-to approach. This 1-4 person A frame comes with 2 to 4 sleeping cots, 2 hammocks (available) with hanging space inside or out and plenty of space to pitch a tent all around, tent included. Down by the runoff stream (sometimes there is no runoff!) you'll find a fire ring with a cooking grill and outdoor seating. Inside the A frame you're provided a lantern, gas cook stove, kitchen ware, food storage cooler and small table and chairs. 14 gallons of potable water is provided. There is a small corner loo inside the A frame with a flushing RV type toilet for the ladies and also a comfortable Adirondack outhouse with an ecological waste removing system. Although the A frame is UNHEATED, there is a small propane space heater available to take off the chill of a cool Adirondack evening. A 1 lb Propane bottle is provided. Additional Propane is available to purchase. This 5-acre quiet paradise is surrounded by on site walking trails where the only sounds are the owls and an occasional airplane. Camp TedRock is close to many popular Adirondack adventures including nearby Crane Mountain, spectacular Garnet Lake, Lake George, the Hudson River and many more. Camping locations have no amenities but are cleared with mowed grass and have fire-pits. Pitch tent or bring RV, you'll enjoy yourself and the wildlife around you. Site 1 and 2 are adjacent to woods, site 3 is a wide-open-field site (great RV site) with the best panoramic and sunset view. As far as we know, this land has been occupied since shortly after the civil war. It is actually two farms, combined into one around 1900. The main farmhouse was built out of the logs they cleared in 1879, and there are old foundations of the other original farm houses/barns as well. All over the property (now woods) there are piles of stones that the original inhabitants pulled from the fields. The second farm house was built in 1901. Most of the total 240 acres were cleared pasture land at that time. During the twenties and thirties the property was owned by an industrious couple from the City that lovingly turned it into more of a "rustic retreat"; damming a pond, planting ornamentals and upgrading the buildings. There have been many owners over the years, but we are proud to say it has been with us the longest. Our family bought it in 1961 and we have been trying to be good stewards ever since. Come and visit our little patch of wilderness!

Camp Forever is a very special 45 acre property, located within the Adirondack Blue Line. It has been in my family since the early 30's. My grandfather carved a small campground out of the woods that he ran from the early 70's until the mid-80's. Some of my earliest and best childhood memories are from time I spent at the camp. In the mid-80's, my Uncle took Camp Forever over and ran it until around 2014. As a small private campground for over four decades, Camp Forever became a special place for many families from Quebec and from the local area.
My family and I recently purchased Camp Forever from my uncle and have by rehabbing the property for the past several years. We built an Adirondack Style leanto here in 2019 and have been cleaning up the campground area for the past two years. While Camp Forever will never become a "campground" again, I am thrilled to once again be able to share this unique property with anyone seeking good times in nature with family and friends. Come see why this place has been so special and important to my family and many others since the 70's and why it will continue to be a place where people can camp forever.

Sweeping pastoral hillsides mixed with densely wooded private acres make our camps unique, each one offering a different experience. A developed network of our own marked trails for exploring, our private red slate swimming quarry with docks and seating, and catch release fishing at 2 ponds are a few things to enjoy here. Slate Valley Trails & Merck Forest are close by. Places to picnic, enjoy the sunset, and idle are a plenty. Our farm stand is stocked with seasonal produce, jams, eggs, and bagged ice. Spring water is available. Excellent locally burgers, steaks, chicken and more are available as pre-order EXTRAS.

Camp Forever is a very special 45 acre property, located within the Adirondack Blue Line. It has been in my family since the early 30's. My grandfather carved a small campground out of the woods that he ran from the early 70's until the mid-80's. Some of my earliest and best childhood memories are from time I spent at the camp. In the mid-80's, my Uncle took Camp Forever over and ran it until around 2014. As a small private campground for over four decades, Camp Forever became a special place for many families from Quebec and from the local area.
My family and I recently purchased Camp Forever from my uncle and have by rehabbing the property for the past several years. We built an Adirondack Style leanto here in 2019 and have been cleaning up the campground area for the past two years. While Camp Forever will never become a "campground" again, I am thrilled to once again be able to share this unique property with anyone seeking good times in nature with family and friends. Come see why this place has been so special and important to my family and many others since the 70's and why it will continue to be a place where people can camp forever.

A short walk down to the pond and into the pines and you’re suddenly unaware of reality or time…
Truly a beautiful piece of land. Perfect little cabin with such character.
A hot wood stove to keep cozy as the falling snow blanketed the silent forest around us.
Comfy sleeping pads, lights, plenty of wood, delicious water, cookware and other supplies. Outhouse was so clean and honestly adorable lol!!
Truly the peaceful escape I needed. I want to come back and experience what energy every different season offers, I’m sure they each offer magic.

Brought my girlfriend here as a little surprise trip for her bday and she absolutely loved it!! I was a little nervous about the weather but it ended up being so cozy inside the Yurt with the snowfall outside. Such a nice and relaxing stay with wonderful hosts that accommodates to all of your needs. Was so relieving to be able to pack nice and light and just hangout. We had everything we needed! Awesome hosts and a an awesome place. Ed made sure we had plenty of wood the entire time and was always available if we needed anything!

Such a beautiful place for glamping! Took my boyfriend here since he’s never gone camping and this was a perfect “camping lite” experience. The bed was so comfy and had plenty of blankets for late October - and we also utilized the Mr Heater that was provided and we were plenty warm. Definitely want to come back for more than one night!

Cabin D was so sweet and charming. We watched the sunset over the field and in the morning watched the field brighten as the sun rose through the woods behind us.
There was a small heater available, but we didn't use it. The cups, silverware, cloth napkins and coffee and coffee put were a perfect touch. I did bring my favorite sleeping bags (zipped together) so we were warm when we woke up to 36°F in the morning, but I am sure the blankets provided would have been just as cozy.
It was so wonderful to be able to watch the world through so many windows. I will definitely be back in the future!

A great, convenient, and thoughtfully laid out site. I stayed two nights while exploring the trails and really enjoyed the view over the field with their horses during the day and the stars at night were amazing. The outhouse was convenient and clean as well. I definitely plan on returning someday soon!

We recently had a great time at the Tamarack Tent site. This was my 2nd time camping on the property, and our group thoroughly enjoyed it again. There was plenty of deadwood for us to collect and burn to keep our fire going, and the fire pit, screen house, and general campsite area were all clean and prepared for our arrival. We enjoyed many great campfire meals, hiking nearby, and relaxing on the property. At night, the sky was incredibly clear, which made for great star viewing! We also enjoyed seeing the fall foliage of the surrounding landscape. It's a beautiful area. We plan to visit again next year!

The host was great and showed us where our campsite was when we got there late, 😅 she was nice to wait up. They have hot showers which was great and a cute little farmers market where she had the veggies and eggs there to purchase. Plus there were cows there to see, so cute! My family (7 year old daughter, husband and dog) had the most wonderful time tent camping at the Hops site on Heather and Paul's beautiful farm. It's such a special, expansive place with so many cool spots to hike to within the farm that we didn't feel like we needed to leave the property. We loved the peace and privacy of the Hops site but next time we'd like to try to Oak tree site which has stunning views. My daughter loved drinking directly from the spring behind Heather's house, and visiting the pergola near dusk. The highland cows against the backdrop of rolling hills and the beautiful slate structures look like paintings. I'd definitely recommend taking the tour of the property to orient yourself. Heather is a lovely person and a knowledgeable and engaging host.
