A glamper's delight! Welcome to our romantic, primitive, off-grid A-Frame, where breathtaking views and stargazing await. On a quirky homestead with stunning views in every direction, fall asleep under the vast night sky while coyotes yip and howl. 

Ojo Caliente, Taos, Rio Grande Gorge, Carson National Forest and world-class hiking only minutes away. Enjoy the tranquility and seclusion without sacrificing the proximity to the conveniences of Taos.

Brilliant sunrises and fiery sunsets are the backdrop, but the stargazing is what takes center stage. With strategically placed windows, guests can lay in bed and connect with the cosmos, witnessing the milky way and shooting stars most nights.

Please note, bedding is only provided as an add-on. There is no plumbing or electricity. Solar shower and simple composting toilet provided.

Taos Goji Farm & Eco Lodge

Taos Goji Ecolodge, is an historic property with ten renovated cabins and a 4-acre goji berry farm located on 40 acres of pristine land in San Cristobal, New Mexico. The cabins were built at the beginning of last century, originally for sheep herders. Both Alduous Huxley and D.H. Lawrence lived and wrote in this cabins, and later Elizabeth Kubler Ross and Ram Dass stayed here.

Camping site #2. Once in bloom, you will be sleeping under a handful of apple trees!

Learn more about this land:We are at the entrance to the Rio Grande Del Norte National Monument. The Rio Grande River is a quarter mile away.  Fishing Hiking Biking Boating Climbing.  Historic Taos NM is 15 miles to the North.  Santa Fe Nm is 50 miles to the south.

Our motto is, “No Cramped Camping!”, with spacious and private camp sites to ensure that quiet time is just that - quiet.  Pure gold for those looking to truly unplug and disconnect from everyday stresses and obligations. 

While here one can see history come to life by way of our living history ranch and historic home, one of the first homesteads in Des Montes owned by the same family for over 150 years.  See firsthand how the unique Acequia system of New Mexico has given life to the surrounding pastoral fields and the agricultural practices of the past still relevant in today’s Taos Valley. 

For those wanting the best of both worlds, access to in-town activities as well as trail/hiking/river adventures, the Des Montes sites would be the best selection.  Close enough to town for groceries/conveniences along with other sought after tourist attractions such as the Taos Pueblo, Taos Plaza and surrounding galleries/shops.  In addition, Arroyo Seco and Arroyo Hondo are quaint little villages less than 10 minutes away for for addt'l  groceries/market/restaurants options.

Despite accessibility to endless activities just minutes away there remains a sense of solitude, space and privacy that one would be hard pressed to find elsewhere.

The Des Montes campsites provide 20+ acres mix of pasture land, canyon and timber to hike and explore with the pups, family or on solo adventure.

Taos Plateau - Two Camp Sites

However, if feeling more adventurous and an Overland expedition is calling your name, the Tio Willy's locations on the Taos Plateau (Rio Grande Del Norte Nat'l Monument) would be a perfect choice.  

Rejuvenate the heart and soul with 300+ spacious acres to roam, hike and explore.  Not to mention the breathtaking views of the entire Taos Valley from atop the cerro located on the property.  With only TWO campsites at this location there are 360 degree views, solitude and privacy with no comparison.  Despite the fact there is plenty of ground to cover within the property boundaries there is no shortage of additional hiking trails on Rio Grande Del Norte Nat'l Monument land which surrounds the property.

Cerro Chiflo, Cerro Montoso and the Miner's Trail are within driving/hiking distance.  Spend a day down on the banks of Rio Grande and unwind around the campfire and while stars light up the dark skies.

Big Little Hideaway

We call it Big Little Hideaway and it will take you about 30 seconds upon arriving to discover why. My wife and I had been coming to Taos to ski for years and years and always felt at home, but it was a Summer trip that made us realize how much our souls belong here. My wife envisioned a property with a beautiful gate so that it feels like a courtyard (And she got it!) and after visiting the hot springs we knew this was The Spot!This is perfect if you're looking for a little bit of everything; mountain views, minutes away from hiking, paddle boarding, hot springs, skiing, and endless roads and beauty to explore. We're 15 minutes away from Taos and Arroyo Secco where you can enjoy great food, galleries and shopping, and 30 minutes away from the awesome Taos Ski Valley.Ideal for couples or families of 4 or close friends.

The Rainbow connection is a well designed tiny home we purchased new in 2021 and put it out on our land.  We love the simplicity of this tiny home.

The interior has a beautiful pine finish with all the amenities of home, and a beautiful mountain view.

  Site is 20 minutes from Taos Ski Valley and 10 minutes from Taos Plaza. Enjoy the mountain views, hot tub, and  quiet remote work space  and be on the mountain for first chair!

  Site  is perfect for self contained camper or trailer. Includes private entrance  to ski storage and boot warmer, wireless internet,  bathroom and shower.
