A glamper's delight! Welcome to our romantic, primitive, off-grid A-Frame, where breathtaking views and stargazing await. On a quirky homestead with stunning views in every direction, fall asleep under the vast night sky while coyotes yip and howl. 

Ojo Caliente, Taos, Rio Grande Gorge, Carson National Forest and world-class hiking only minutes away. Enjoy the tranquility and seclusion without sacrificing the proximity to the conveniences of Taos.

Brilliant sunrises and fiery sunsets are the backdrop, but the stargazing is what takes center stage. With strategically placed windows, guests can lay in bed and connect with the cosmos, witnessing the milky way and shooting stars most nights.

Please note, bedding is only provided as an add-on. There is no plumbing or electricity. Solar shower and simple composting toilet provided.

The Kokopelli  tipi cradles you in a queen-sized bed, while our Elk and Zia tipis sleep four with a king or queen bed and a cozy bunk bed. All tipis are adorned with bedside tables, a device charger, and a camp stove for brewing coffee and tea under the starlit sky.

We've meticulously curated everything you need for a comfortable and unforgettable stay. Each tipi boasts a single-burner camping stove, a kettle, a French press coffee maker with coffee and tea selections, a cooler, and a drinking water dispenser. Step outside to find a grill for open-air cooking, a crackling fire pit with comfy camping chairs, a picnic table, and a ramada strung with a hammock for stargazing naps.

Unwind and Explore at Your Pace

For meals, unleash your inner chef on the grill or savor delicious home-cooked fare at the Chili Line Depot, owned by your hosts and just 7 miles away. You can choose to dine in at the restaurant or call for convenient pick-up. We'll even provide a menu in your tipi.

After a day of exploring the surrounding wilderness, rejuvenate in the shared bathhouse, featuring a composting toilet, a hot shower, and an outdoor sink. Bath towels, soap, and shampoo are thoughtfully provided for your comfort.

Learn more about this land:Pull into this off road area to park and explore 5 acres of pine and oak forest.  Set up your camp on one of several flat areas around the property.  If the creek bed is dry, that is a beautiful valley area to set up.  View mountains hundreds of miles away and enjoy the milky way at night. This area is green all summer and breath taking during fall. 

About a mile off the highway, this land is easy to get to and six miles south of Chama,  New Mexico where the old train runs.  Going south are Heron Dam and Abiquiu Lake as well as beautiful red rock formations.

Javali River Glamping

Nestled in the bosque of the Abiquiu valley, filled with tall, majestic cotton woods and softly fragrant Russian olives. At sunset, the sky opens up to amazing beauty and the swallows begin their nightly swooping over the river. 

Very near by are locally owned cafes and historic places to visit. The Abiquiu valley is filled with music, arts, studio tours, spas, hot springs, lake recreation, fishing, hikes, and so so many spectacular things to see and experience. Some nearby highlights include Abiquiu lake, Plaza Blanca and Ghost Ranch, with many hidden gems in between.

We have uniquely remodeled vintage and modern, trailers and an Airstream available to rent in a lush, grassy field . 

The field is very open, we have some mature trees and have just planted some new, baby cottonwoods.  

We have a screened in gazebo with a propane fireplace, a gas BBQ, outdoor shower, kayaks and hammocks for all to enjoy. Please do not be shy. Introduce yourself to the other campers. Share stories, make s’mores. Sing songs!!

Our yoga, meditation and meeting space is now open. If you are interested in booking this space for private use, please contact us to tell us what you are planning. 

We, live onsite at the edge of the resort area. 

Please respect our neighbors by remaining within the "Glamp Zone"

This glamp zone occupies only 1.25 acres. Part of our mission in creating this space is to bring folks together. We encourage campers to mingle. Maybe organize a group float down the Chama. The float from just above Bodes to our very own shore is wonderful. It takes about two hours. There is one challenging spot, but beside that, the float is calm and tranquil.

Please be aware, we have cats, chickens, goats, donkeys, horses and dogs that live on the  property. Your pets are welcome only if they are guaranteed to not pester or hurt our posse of pets. Also, we will not tolerate excessive barking or inappropriate running around or bothering ourselves or other guests. You must pick up all your and your pets waste and take it with you when you leave.

20 minutes from Ghost Ranch, Abiquiu Lake, Echo theater. 30 minutes from Ojo Caliente. One hour from Santa Fe. 15 minutes from Abiquiu Inn and a restaurant and Georgia O'Keeffe Museum. Bring your telescope and binoculars. Excellent hiking at Ghost Ranch and other areas. Kayaking at Chama River which is 20 minutes away. Also at Abiquiu Lake.

Going south from echo theater toward Ghost ranch. About 25 minutes away.

Our RV sites are spacious long level pull-throughs and have access to water, septic and electricity.  Our premium RV spaces are secluded with mountain and lake views.  Community showers and restrooms available.

Our Dry Camp Sites are secluded and peaceful with mountain and lake views.

Our campsite amenities include fishing tackle shop, minimart, picnic tables, BBQ grills, fire pits, bikes, kayaks and paddle boards.
