Surround yourself in the natural beauty of a working flower farm in Maine in this quiet, secluded location that's close to area beaches, lighthouses, and more. Located about an acre behind our family home (which you can see from the spot), the camp site is within steps of our barn, which has both running water and electrical hookups (20amps) for campers to use. An open field next door plays host to numerous deer and turkeys, and the flower fields feature a rotating lineup of beautiful blooms (depending on the time of the season.) We are located off a busy street where cars drive a little too fast — if you have a dog that needs to be walked daily, we would recommend stopping by the beach or one of the many nearby walking trails instead of venturing down the road. Max length of vehicles is 30 feet -- we've found that any longer and the turns are too tight. 10 mins to grocery store (Hannaford) and gas stations 12 mins to local beaches (Long Sands and Short Sands) 15 mins to Portsmouth, NH 20 mins to Nubble Lighthouse 25 mins to Ogunquit, ME 35 mins to Kennebunkport, ME 45 mins to Portland, ME This is a working flower flower farm and on occasion there will need to be someone working in the field near to the campsite, often during the very early hours of the morning (5am during the spring and summer, later in the fall.) That said, we don't use tractors or any heavy machinery and we will always make our best effort to communicate this ahead of time. Lastly, for the summer of 2025 we have a longterm camper and his dog located further back on the property behind the barn. The rest of this listing remains unchanged, but we just wanted to make people aware!

What a great site! I returned to this hipcamp because of the privacy, ease of booking and communication, and of course the site itself. Even with a frosty layer of snow we had no trouble getting to the site. The fairytale lights in the tree made the site feel more enchanting. This time I even preordered some fresh eggs, which the owner’s thoughtfully brought out and had ready for me soon my arrival. I truly look forward to returning once the weather warms up. Thank you for letting stay!

We loved this amazing camp, peaceful and quiet and great for our dogs. The site is very spacious and easy to get in and out, even with a larger RV. It’s nice to be so close to the water. One of our dogs is reactive and this is a perfect Hipcamp for him where we can all relax together. Will definitely be back.

I really enjoyed this Hipcamp site. The hosts were quick to respond and even set up the fire pit with wood. It was private, clean, and even lit with lights in the tree above the picnic table. One of the things that I loved about this site is the ability to buy fresh eggs or firewood if needed. I will definitely remember that in the future when I return.

We had a great three-night stay at Flower Field Campsite. You park between the barn and the garden with easy access to water and electric hookups. Nicole was very friendly and respectful of our privacy, and even though there were two other RVs onsite, each had a dedicated, private space. The firepit and firewood were a nice bonus, and the location was ideal for exploring York, Ogunquit, and Cape Neddick.

Mountain Brook Hideaway has just become our favorite Hipcamp! This is what all Hipcamps should strive for. Beautiful, private location, with so many hiking trail options. Level parking area with power, picnic table, Adirondack chairs, kayaks and a pond! The perfect fire pit was awesome. One of the trees lit up at night! David and Laurie were perfect hosts. We will definitely be going back!

We LOVED this peaceful and pristine site. David and Laurie welcomed us in and were easy to reach. The sunrise and the sounds of wildlife added to the charm. Owners took great care and thought in this site. Level gravel site, fire pit with Adirondack chairs, new picnic table, and firewood on site for purchase through an app. The fairly lights in the tree just added to the night time ambiance. Oh, fresh eggs available, too! Because we have a reactive dog, Hipcamp gives us access to awesome, single sites like this. Would definitely return.

Such a gem that we truly enjoyed exploring, our dogs loved playing and swimming at the waters edge and the string lights, chairs, and kayaks were such thoughtful touches; we loved exploring the pond with the kayaks. We weren’t able to meet our hosts due to inclement weather the day we were supposed to get there, but were able to communicate the entire time. Highly recommend

We rented a Jayco camper that made our stay easy and more comfortable. It was right on the river- we enjoyed waking up and watching the ducks go by. We spent a ton of time outside, grilling, having fires and spending time/ laughing with friends. Lots of things locally to do as well. We went apple picking and to the local fair! We got some time kayaking in the river too which was peaceful. It was a nice, quiet getaway, and the owners are lovely people. Be prepared with all your own camping gear. Though the camper was very comfortable, we were lucky we had everything we needed. You will need all your own kitchen gear: a grill, pots/pans, plates, mixing bowls, etc. We would def come back, especially since it's only 1.15hr from home. Thanks for a nice stay.

Weekend Trip to Suncook River Camp

We loved the Suncook River Camp and staying in the blue Avalon vintage camper. The camper was perfect with its vintage charm and comfortable bed. The site on the Suncook River was great. Our 7yo daughter loved the clean pool, the outdoor movie night, and fishing/canoeing/tubing in the river all weekend. We caught some nice yellow perch on nightcrawlers. The campground was large enough to have amazing amenities (Hot tubs and sauna opening soon) but not overcrowded. The hosts were very responsive to requests such as firewood orders. Great trip overall!

Our stay at Mountain Brook Hideaway was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how spacious, quiet, and private the site was—it felt like our own little retreat tucked away in nature. We loved having the water all to ourselves, which made mornings so peaceful and gave us plenty of opportunities to sit back and watch the birds flying over. Kayaking was one of our favorite parts of the trip. There were so many cool places to explore—hidden crevices, winding passages, and even several beaver lodges that the kids were so excited to discover. It really felt like a hidden adventure at every turn. Back at camp, the kids enjoyed hours in the hammock while our dog loved being able to roam freely and safely in the wide open space. Our hosts, David and Laurie, were wonderful. Before our trip, they even sent us information on local hiking trails, which we really appreciated—it made planning so much easier and added even more fun to our adventure. On site, they made sure everything was just right, and it was such a treat to be able to purchase firewood right at the campsite. We even got a dozen fresh eggs from their farm, which made breakfast around the campfire extra special. Everything about Mountain Brook Hideaway exceeded our expectations—the peace and quiet, the natural beauty, and the thoughtful touches from the hosts. We left feeling refreshed, happy, and already planning our next visit. This place is truly a gem!
