Achin' Ass Acres -

37 sites · RVs3 acres · Wallace, ID
Location, location, location best describes our beautiful 3.3 acres of privately owned land with a mix of meadows and trees with additional upper-level sites as well. Cyclists, SXS'ers or bikers can take off right from the front gate to The Center of the Universe (downtown Wallace less than a mile away) or out to the open trails surrounding Wallace in all its glory. WHAT WE OFFER: 3.3 acres of mostly flat grassy meadow, trees, as well as a gravel/rocky, still-being-developed area; Lou's Happy Crapper containing 2 private toilets, 2 private bath/showers, and one sink; a central covered fire pit area, and all of it totally fenced. WHAT WE DON'T OFFER: private firepits, power, sewer or water hookups. WHAT WE KINDLY ASK: Please adhere to pack it in-pack it out practices (Please take all garbage with you when you leave). Leave the restroom area clean after use, including wiping down showers, and keeping toilets clean. Toilet paper and cleaning supplies are provided (any donations to the supplies is greatly appreciated and follows our "pay-it-forward" philosophy.) At this time, we do not have labeled sites and ask that we all respect the desire to have space between visitors. We have not determined a maximum capacity as of yet, but our desire is to keep it small so everyone can experience the peace and tranquility of the open wilderness. We are pet friendly and ask that you act responsibly and clean up after your pet as well as keep on a leash if they possibly will act out. Please keep gates closed at all times. We may or may not be present during your stay, but at time of booking we will be able to tell you. There are so many events in this awesome town called Wallace. By providing a place for campers to stay is one way in helping to preserve and enjoy this historic, small-town gem! *Please note-the 6th street bridge (aka nine-mile creek rd.) is under construction, GPS will add 50 miles-plus as a detour. There is a short detour under the freeway which might add a mile and takes you right past the local grocery store. Text me for more info as needed.

Don't be fooled by other farmers and ranchers on hip camp that tell you to go over next to a swamp or a pond, or at riverbed and let your fend for yourself with no amenities and charge you more than we charge you. If you want to be pure off grid, we have our Wolf Camp Mountain, but at least you can come back to the main compound and get a shower and relax at the lodge. We are just 3 miles off of Interstate 90, exit 47, in the small town of Superior, Montana. We have 5 restaurants, 4 bars with 3 casinos. Darlows is a wonderful grocery store including full service deli, beer, wine, and liquor and five churches of different denominations. The Sanctuary is up the canyon mountain via Pardee Creek Road. We are backed up into 50K of USFS acreage! The Clark Fork River on edge of property provides boating, rafting, and fishing fun! Stone Cottage Pottery and Farm

1 site · RV, Tent13 acres · Marion, MT
Hi! We are Dan and Patti Gregerson and we manage the farm with a tiny spinner’s flock of cashmere goats, alpacas and Shetland sheep, whose fleece we hand-process into yarn and knitted items.  We have a flock of laying hens that forage around the property and provide us with eggs. The south facing and gentle downward sloping hillside lets the morning sun shine on our honey bee apiary, a fledgling orchard, greenhouse, and garden, all of which seasonally provide fruits and vegetables that we hope to share with folks. Also on the farm is a cozy pottery studio where Patti is the sole craftsperson making functional pottery for everyday use. Stone Cottage Pottery and Farm exists to be a place of renewal and retreat, to create useful things and experiences that help enhance life’s simple pleasures, and a bring sense of comfort and joy to people’s lives.  Learn more about this land:Our property is a great spot to make your base camp for daily adventures in this region. We’re located just 3 paved miles off of US. HWY 2 and nestled into a private hillside, away from the few people that do live in our neighborhood. We’re an hour from Glacier National Park, 45 minutes from the resort towns of Whitefish, and Bigfork (both with great, independent shops and restaurants), and Flathead Lake, the largest natural lake west of the Mississippi. There is easy access to the Lost Trail National Wildlife Refuge within 15 minutes from the campsite. Our driveway goes right uphill and then take a left onto the grass-covered forest road on our property.  With two switchbacks, you'll climb about 100 feet to your private campsite which includes a wooden platform, screened room, hammocks, cozy chairs, picnic table, composting toilet, solar shower, a changing room, and a full view of the lake. You’ll be camping at the highest point on our property, where you'll take in 360 degree views of sub-alpine forest, a rocky ravine and almost the full length of the beautiful Little Bitterroot Lake with public access less than 3 miles away! You'll gaze down and see glimpses of our tiny farm and may see our Shetland Sheep, Alpacas and Cashmere goats foraging, our chickens scratching about, our tiny orchard, the 120-year old log cabin, originally built up the road when the Northern Pacific Railroad went through this area and that we dismantled and rebuilt here on our farm, and of course the tiny pottery studio where Patti works most days creating pottery designed to celebrate the simple pleasures in life and the comforts of home. Less than three miles down the road is the Hilltop Hitching Post, a sweet local hangout for food, drinks and good conversation. You'll pass a convenience store/gas station and post office on your way to our farm. Looking back toward the ravine, you may see some wildlife milling about, likely including whitetail deer with a possible sighting of elk, moose, and black bear. Frequently eagles and other large birds of prey can be observed overhead at the campsite riding the air currents down to the lake. We are surrounded by beautiful mountain lakes, hiking trails, biking, fishing, kayaking, floating, and paddling adventures.
