Cairn Cottage~secluded retreat

Enjoy a retreat @cottagecairnloz a classic one-room, stone cottage sitting a stones throw from the Osage Arm of The Lake of the Ozarks (69MM). Relax with nature from the cabin hot tub year around. From May to when the water drops you can enjoy the Kayaks and SUPs at the lake lot. Brown Bend Public boat ramp is 11 minutes (6 mi) away from Cairn Cottage for those with boats. Please note that the cottage and lake lot are a short drive from each other.  We are 20 minutes away from Missouri Department of Conservation land, 45 minutes away from climbing at Raven's Rocks and Warsaw.  We are also 45 minutes from Mtn Biking trails in several directions. Many generations of Native American tribes made these Ozark Mountain river bluffs home, long before settlers came from the east. Listen to the music of the wildlife or play your own music in this remote peaceful paradise.Learn more about this land: Firewood is provided! Camp in a peaceful setting above the Niangua River under the canopy of tall oak trees. Enjoy 25 acres of complete privacy and seclusion! It's a pretty steep trail from the campsite down to the banks of the river, and then a short trail to the canoe put-in spot where a 3-person canoe awaits. Contact me for flexible check in/out times.

Dream Meadows Garden

Your hosts have been working for years to develop several flower gardens, special features and unique garden art into their 10-acre landscape. Dream Meadows is a great location to relax on a trip or use as a base for exploring several attractions in the Springfield/Greene County area. As experienced bicycle campers, we understand your needs and desire for relaxing private time. We are 5 miles from the Frisco Highline Trail and 15 miles from the Trans-America route. Let us know what you need and we'll set you up as best we can. Learn more about this land:Shaded and level locations for tent(s) adjacent to host home but with privacy. Located 5 miles from the Frisco Highline Trail and 2 miles off the Fulbright Greenway. We are just 5-miles north of Springfield and 15-minutes from the center of town.  Many good bicycle touring loops in the area and also located within biking distance for mountain biking at the Sac River Trail.  A great location to relax or use as a base for exploring Springfield and Greene County. Fantastic Caverns and other Springfield attractions minutes away. Driving, bicycling or motorcycling Route 66 we're your stop for a peaceful night of camping before continuing your trip on the Mother Road.

The highway used to run on the back of the property. In the 1800's  there was a church  on the back side of the property where one of our campsites is today. The ranch has beautiful scenery, lots of Wildlife, berries and wildflowers. It has always been my dream to share this with others Slice of Heaven with others.Learn more about this land:Come to our beautiful country home and enjoy fishing in our stocked pond. Hiking or horseback riding on our trails. Or just hide away in one of our secluded, quiet camp sights. The main house and barn are just a few minutes from any of our campsites.  Niangua river is less than 4 min away.  We are 20 min north of I-44.

This campsite is literally on the back 40. It is the most secluded and most quiet of our many sites. It also has a giant fire ring.

Watch the moonrise and take a moonlit hike. You will have no problem seeing the trails with the bright Missouri Moon.

Go fishing in our private and stocked pond. Bring your own fishing gear.

Enjoy our many wildflowers as well as lots of Wildlife, wild berries and fruit bearing trees, such as persimmons and mulberries. Depending on the time of the year.

If you want to just decompress, take a seat in our meditation Garden or perhaps a nap in the hammock.

If you want to swim or float we are less than 4 minutes from the niangua river.

Pomme Camping Patch

Acreage by Pomme de Terre Lake. The Ozarks at its best with nearby antiquing, trails, hiking, biking, paddling, fishing, hunting, ATV riding, boating, boat rental, birding, bowling, restaurants/bars, grocery, bumper cars and mini golf. Plenty of room to park your boat, toad or other accessories. Pomme de Terre is an Army Corp lake with no residences on the shore, providing great natural views from the water and public shore accesses. The cove pictured is public access and approximately 3/4 mile down a gravel road from the camp site. Very private camping on three acres off paved road. Listing is for single rig plus a few supporting tents. An RV panel with 20, 30 and 50 amp hookups services the single site. High speed wifi internet provided for streaming, surfing and digital nomads.

Pomme de Terre Lake is located within a mile of the campsite. This is the nearest cove, which is public access and typically not busy.
