Sleep to the sound of tree frogs, owls, distant coyotes, and maybe even wake to sounds of chickens in the morning.  Walk thru a glitter of fire flies down a trail at night.  My black labs Luke and Kiwi will likely visit your site to say hello and are super chill.  2 disc golf Black Hole Pro baskets on site to practice with.

Only 30 minutes east of Grand Rapids, this property was established as a Youth Camp for 15 years is now a private event venue and campground, so it has nice amenities like FULL restrooms, a picnic shelter, and even a few small cabins that can be rented. 

Swimming beach is available in Lowell a few miles away.

Fishing rivers and lakes are also in the area. (live bait in Saranac)

Woods site and Open Area have a few different locations you can choose from.

This is a 76 acre farm in a rural agricultural area.  Learn more about this land:This is a 76 acre "farm" that has been allowed to rest for the last 20 some years, surrounded by large agricultural fields.  There are areas of pasture, woods, and wetlands.  This is a very rustic piece of property, with no amenities.  Just a chance to get away for some fresh air.

Our little Prius did fine on the farm road, but it may have been tricky if it was wet. You could always park near the road and hike it!

We are doing less flower growing that we did before, as life has taken us to work outside of our own space. However, we've shifted to more stewardship on our property and the adjacent preserve. We'd love to guide you on a hike and teach about the local ecology, flora, and fauna too!  The goats and chickens continue to provide joyful entertainment as well.

Growing up, I used to come here to visit my great-aunt & uncle's horse ranch. My great uncle grew up visiting his great uncle who was one of the first in our family on this land. They were animal and nature lovers, and in their retirement, sold 130 acres to The Nature Conservancy, all of which is now protected as a county nature preserve.

Unfortunately, 11 years ago, my great-uncle and aunt had passed, and we had to sell the family land.

Serendipitously, as we were looking for a farm homestead to move to, we reconnected with the owners of the land, and they were just deciding to sell it. My family was able to buy back the family land and continue the legacy.

Kathryn and I are restarted our cut-flower farm and hoping to develop a permaculture inspired orchard and keep chickens and pigs. We love living here surrounded by extensive state and county parks and recreation land, while still being close enough to Chelsea and Ann Arbor for all that they provide.

Our aim is to create a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable atmosphere for our visitors. We hope to provide a refuge in nature and perhaps even some education of flowers or wildlife.

Join us in carrying on the legacy of family land stewardship and love for natural spaces!

There's plenty of space for a car, and tents. Extra parking nearby for groups. 

Additional space nearby, and the compost toilet is just to the right.

The hilltop bonfire area is supreme views. Great for bonfires and watching sunsets and lightning bugs.

Camp Clear Sky

Camp Clear Sky is our family compound in Lowell, Michigan. We allow guests to camp and sometimes have music for our guests to enjoy. Our 2BR 1BA eco-house is available for short-term rentals. 

There are three large parks and two rivers within a mile of the property. Nearby connections to hiking, bicycle, snowmobile, and water hiking trails include the North Country Trail, Lowell Area Trailway, Flat River Water Trail, Grand River Water Trail, Fred Meijer River Valley Trail, and more!

Grace's Blueberry Orchard Camping

Located just outside of Michigan's capital, Grace Blueberry Orchard provides a nice option for people looking for a country feel in the city. There are a variety of parks nearby as well as rivers, lakes, and trails that are easily accessible from this location. Grace Orchard is home to a family of fake farmers who share the property with a flock of chickens. In the summer months when the blueberries are in season, campers are welcome to enjoy the wild fruits throughout the property. Camp sites are available with good privacy. The many trees on the property allow for hammocking options as well.  There are multiple large areas for camping, all with fire pits.

This hipcamp is an entrepreneurial endeavor of our kids who are raising money for their education. They have a bee sanctuary which humanely extracts limited honey amounts each year. Our youngest also sells tea infusers. Sunday brunch (Mexican) or (Korean) Ramen may also be available for purchase.

Our country home is located on 7 acres near Lansing and East Lansing, Michigan.  

We are the proud parents of a small flock of chickens who roam the property throughout the day.  

The property is surrounded by beautiful large trees that provide shade to hang out, read, or eat a meal.

All 3 sites are deeper into the property near our 2 acre blueberry orchard

Camp Site #1 (S1) is the largest of our sites. It is centrally located on our property, has easy access to the water source, bathroom, and shower, and is the ideal site for larger groups or people with car tents or large cars and camper vans.

Wooden area with flat easy set up up on property.  Small pond is available for on shore fishing.  No electric or septic available.  Water connection may be possible.

Located  just 10 minutes from Santee State Park in Santee, SC and 5 minutes from Poplar Creek Landing, where you can put your boat/kayak in for fishing or just enjoy a day on Lake Marion.

Or if Golf is on your agenda, Located in the heart of Santee lies one of the more rewarding golf experiences in the area. Lake Marion Golf Course opened in 1978, is a perennial favorite with traveling golfers and features fantastic Miniverde greens that are in perfect shape all year long. Designed by Eddie Riccoboni, Lake Marion will challenge you with pine tree-lined fairways, bordering lakes and 47 sand bunkers. But don’t let these challenges fool you. Lake Marion is an extremely fair test of golf and is sure to please players of all abilities.
