The Riverbend Cabin! Our sweet, off grid piece of heaven!

Riverbend Cabin and Sauna

David purchased the property from his parents and built the log cabin, sauna and privy with good friends who also constructed the Rope Bridge. Linda came along in 2000 and moved in with her dog. David was just finishing up a bedroom addition to the cabin, just in time! We got married on the property in 2002. Our family gathers together a lot throughout the summers and we have a ski commute to our vehicles during the winter. We love to share our cabin with those of like mind. It's truly a sweet spot!Learn more about this land:Our cabin in the woods offers you a sweet getaway. Think of it as Luxury Camping. No running water but fresh water is provided. Privy on premises. Gas stove. Wood stove. No refrigeration (coolers & ice works!). Grill. Fire pit. Basic kitchen items. Wood-fired sauna. Totally off grid. Located on the river.The cabin is suited for short term stays, though someone with a good comfort level of being in nature and off grid could enjoy a longer stay. Life slows down in our neck of the woods.

The cabin is 2 rooms. The large room consists of the kitchen, dining and as pictured here, the living room.

The cabin sits right next to the river on a bluff. It's a sweet, meandering river with a great swimming hole.

Camp Nowhere

Camp Nowhere is located in the town of Amity which is in beautiful Northern Maine. It is about 30 minutes from the New Brunswick, Canada border crossing. It is also about an hour and a half from Mt. Katahdin/Baxter State Park. And just 15 minutes from the Million Dollar View lookout in Weston, overlooking Grand Lake (located in Weston, Maine & New Brunswick, Canada).
Camp Nowhere is located on our 64 acre homestead which is located in Davis Brook Acres. Davis Brook Acres is made up of several hundred acres surrounded by many more.
There are many local atv trails and maps are available if you have your own atv to venture out with. 
On rare occasions the Aurora Borialis has been seen. Along with multiple shooting stars and a breathtaking view of the Milky way! If you enjoy stargazing then you've come to the right place.
If you happen to be here when our hens are in a laying mood then we will have fresh eggs for you to cook on your campfire for breakfast.
One of our sites is located right on our brook.  You can fall asleep to the beautiful sounds of a babbling brook. It's not deep enough to swim in but you can definitely cool off with a walk in the water!
This site also has a patch of fiddleheads, a local delicacy that you can pick and fry up. But, only if you are here during the harvest season right at the beginning of Spring.

Book your spot now!Learn more about this land:When you arrive at our camp, there will be a place to park your vehicle. You will be given a map and shown which trail to take to your campsite. We have two sites available. One is located right on the brook.  The other one is deeper in the woods. 
 If you have an atv or a jeep, you can take that to the site. Otherwise, you will be carrying your gear. If you need a lift, we can bring you back there on our atv. There are an abundance of atv trails in the area.

Learn more about this land:All varieties of terrain with open to wooded sites. Many miles of trails and old logging roads to venture on by walking, biking, horse or ATV. Plenty of parking for day trips also.

Brucecamp

Over 100 years ago, this property was a potato farm and is now a multi-use family farm and adventure site. We are working towards edible landscaping and rich wildlife habitats. On site you can visit our game shop - Shiretown Gaming LLC, shop with Serpents Edge our knives, swords, display items and curiosities, receive firearm and self-defense instruction, or just hang out in the at your camp site. Join us on a LARP (Live Action Role Playing) excursion or have a little fun on the Archery range shooting arrows, throwing knives, or throwing axes.

Nature is right on our front door.... literally! We have become home to bears, raccoons, moose, deer and various other wild animals. The spaces we have set up as campsites frequently get visited by moose and deer. During your stay education materials will be available on interactions with wild animals and staying safe when walking on trails.

Camp Sites 3, 4, and 5 are subject to change at various times of the year. These sites are reserved for our "CAN YOU SURVIVE" participants and we move the location for each guest so that you start with a fresh area.

Haynesville Woods

1 acre lot alongside stream. Nearby river,ATV and snowmobile trails. Fireplace (permit required). Hand dug well onsite. Portable toilet. Hunting and fishing paradise. Lot is roadside off very lightly traveled US 2a. Firewood available to purchase. Enjoy the fresh air of the northern Maine woods. We hope to see you soon.
