Moose, deer, and bear tracks are common, but animal encounters are not - still, please sequester your food accordingly and be mindful to carry out scraps or place them in lidded containers provided.

It started years ago my sister and I stayed in a yurt at a campground in Oregon. That was it. I was hooked so I got one. There is something magical about staying in a round structure in the trees. My love of nature and comfort drove me to create this special place to be able to share it with others.
My TreeYurt is a platform built high in the trees so it essentially like a treehouse but with a yurt instead. It is located in the back part of my property surrounded by woods. In the spring there is a small stream running nearby. The land is somewhat sloped yet comfortable.
There are apple orchards nearby and many hiking trails a short distance away as well as Portland a mere 15 minutes.
The kitchenette has a small fridge a toaster oven a coffee maker a cook top with two burners pots pans utensils plates and bowls and kitchen towels as well a propane grill outside.
There is a wood stove for heating in the winter as well as a monitor heater that makes it very cozy for chilly nights. The yurt is insulated so it is a great year round glamping (glorified camping) adventure. I provide fire some wood for the wood stove inside but the camp fire wood for the outdoor fire pit is $5 per bundle.
The outhouse has a dry flush toilet and instructions at located in the yurt and out house. There is seasonal running hot and cold water (May through October) for the outdoor sink which is available for use for dishwashing and a bit of cleaning up. Also an outdoor shower is available for use May through October and biodegradable soaps and shampoo are provided. I provide gallons of drinking water and dishwashing water for the colder months inside the yurt with dish tubs sponges and soap.

The yurt features full kitchen to include a small refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, small 20" cook stove/oven, double cast iron sink, drip coffee pot, tea kettle, microwave, toaster/air fry oven, dishware/glassware for 2-4 people, silverware and cooking utensils, dish towels, dish soap, olive oil, vinegar, cooking spices, cookie sheets, muffin and loaf pans. The bathroom has a 48" stand up shower with rain shower head and is stocked with towels, hand soap, bar soap, hair dryer, starter toilet paper and paper towels for your stay. The living space has a sofa and two chairs perfect to sit and read a book by the fire, play some games or settle down and watch a movie on the 43" smart Roku tv. The yurt is heated with a comfortbuilt pellet stove which is easy to use and can be left unattended for a day out to come back to a nice warm space. We also have a Mini split heat pump which is an additional heat source but also provides air conditioning to keep you cool and comfortable in the warmer months.

Had everything we needed! Perfect spot for a little getaway/retreat. Nice and cozy warm with the wood stove and heater. The rocking chairs were a bonus! Had everything we needed to cook yummy food as well. Amy didn’t miss a thing!

We had such a great time at the yurt and exploring the property with our two dogs! Morgan did a great job of showing us everything we needed to know for our stay. The yurt itself is absolutely beautiful and truly makes you feel like you’re sleeping in nature. The location that they chose to build the yurt provides an amazing view of the mountains right out the front window. We opted to use the wood-fired hot tub while we were there and it was a fantastic experience. Although the wood stove was out of commission during our stay, the space heaters that were provided were more than enough to keep the yurt toasty, even during the cold late November nights. We would gladly come back again!

Weekend Trip to The Land Kindred
We had an amazing girls trip night in the yurt! Nicole was so helpful and responsive and the property was stunning. We met 2 of their super friendly dogs, one of whom accompanied us on a walk down to the brook! The yurt was incredibly cozy and we were lucky enough to get to see the first snow that night. We look forward to returning to the yurt again sometime!

Great spot with a river, hiking trails , super toasty wood burning stove , nice outhouse and the peace and quiet you crave. can't wait to come back again!

Weekend Trip to Mead Hill at Mount Cabot Maple
We stayed in the yurt for a weekend and loved it! Bed was comfy and thought the woodstove wasn't working, the space heater kept us cozy. Morgan and Rush were excellent hosts, answered all our questions graciously and made us very welcome. The woodfired hot tub was glorious. Hope we can visit again someday!

Cozy stay and stunning views! Road driving up gets less paved but still doable. Walk to yurt from parking is a little workout but worth it. Very much enjoyed our stay and love the maple syrup!

This yurt stay was peaceful, well-appointed, and thoughtfully designed from top to bottom. Everything inside had a clear purpose and was arranged to make settling in feel natural. It’s clear a lot of care went into creating a space that supports rest without distraction.
The scenery surrounding the site was a real highlight—wide, uninterrupted views that made even quiet moments feel expansive. It’s also very secluded, with a strong sense of privacy.
Communication with the host was smooth and prompt, which added to the low-stress feel of the whole trip. One delightful highlight: they make their own maple syrup on the property, and it’s excellent—rich, smooth, and clearly crafted with skill.
If you’re looking for a place to unplug without giving up basic comfort, this is a solid option. Balanced, quiet, and beautifully situated.

Absolutely sweeping views! The yurt has power. Hot water shower outside with a sink behind it. We went in the rain and staying dry was absolutely no problem at all. I cannot get over how beautiful the land is. When I say sweeping views, I mean you can see many, many mountains through the door of the yurt. Morgan was fantastic, friendly, and hospitipal. Highly recommend!

4 nights at Toad Hill
My partner and I stayed here for our honeymoon, we loved this yurt! It’s cozy and in such a great location for awesome hikes with great views. The property itself is really cool, and I think it’s good to note that the yurt is the ONLY site with true privacy. It’s at the end of its own dirt road whereas the other sites are either closer together or right on the roadside. Another thing, you will definitely want a 4WD vehicle with decent clearance to get there. The roads are cleared and well marked but mostly rocks and some steep parts. Overall this camp was exactly what we wanted it to be. Unfortunately the people who stayed before us did not follow the carry-in carry-out rule and left their trash behind, but we were happy to carry it out with us. The futon and bed were covered in dirt so we had to do some sweeping before we could set up bedding. This is not glamping by any means, but more so a solid place for the true nature lovers. The outhouse was great to have but I can’t lie, the giant mountain dwelling spiders that live in there are a bit scary! Again, this is a place for true nature lovers lol. A perfect place to go that has almost everything you’ll need, a shelter with a way to safely make a fire, a propane stove for cooking outdoors, some cleaning supplies, and some helpful maps. It’s a lovely bare bones mountain structure camping experience, and the perfect place to stay if you plan on hitting some trails in the white mountains.

The yurt at toad hill was beautifully constructed, and a very comfortable stay. The location is extremely remote so you are able to escape. We saw fireflies and a storm roll
