We have owned this property for almost 20 years.  Our children are mostly grown now.  We love meeting new people and seeing new faces.  Come experience the heart of the Cajun Prairie for food, music and fun!Learn more about this land:We also offer 14 acres of Cajun Prairie with many native trees, plants and birds to enjoy on a morning walk or an evening strollL'Acadie Inn has sixteen renovated private rooms to accomodate the individual traveler or a medium-sized tour group as well as 17 full hook-up RV sites.  We are able to assist you with most any question you may have regarding our Cajun music, culture, food and much more.With a lighted patio, lobby and picnic/playground area, pool and lake, L'Acadie Inn can host your small to medium-sized social needs.

Our site can accommodate a 40' motorhome with a tow.

We can accommodate everyone in your group from motel rooms to RV sites to tents!

Gresham family Compound.

Family owned land purchased in the 30's. The modern Gresham compound is a place of peace amongst a seemingly chaotic world. The trees are like gardians of the land. Walk softly on the earth, each step, offer a blessing.Learn more about this land:Sleep in a converted ambulance camper with a Zen vibe. Tents welcome too. The surrounding Property is full of mature trees creating a country in the city feel. Outdoor jaccuzi and kitchen available. Lake martin, a picturesque swamp great for paddling and birdwatching is only 10 minutes away. Acdiana park, a great place to hike is only 5.

Iberia Market Garden

The Iberia Market Garden is private property and a project started in 2014 to bring healthy fresh vegetables and economic investment to the surrounding low-income neighborhood. The property has had various garden areas added over the years and is a great place to relax and meditate. Proceeds from Hipcamp go toward supporting garden upkeep and operations.

The fenced-in site is in a well lived in, low-income, busy neighborhood of New Iberia. The hosts live in the small brick cottage in front. The property is surrounded by gardens for guests to enjoy. There is a 15AMP regular outlet to plug into and a nearby water hose for travelers to use.

Your Host Phanat may be wandering around the gardens. Say hi and let's have a glass of wine or cup of tea in the garden. 

Our white German Shepard Peanut loves visitors. Very sweet and friendly. His energy can be too intense for some other dogs though.

Hello! I'm Matt, and our family includes my girlfriend Olivia, our 6-year-old son, two rescue dogs, and a one-eyed cat. In 2021, we made the exciting decision to sell our home in Lafayette and start living full-time in a camper at our family's countryside site. This beautiful place has been in our family for generations, and we've cherished every moment of our new life, enjoying BBQs, campfires, and breathtaking country sunsets every day.

Now, we want to share this peaceful haven with you! You'll find our spot nestled under the shade of majestic live oak trees, with a convenient concrete slab for grilling and a fire ring for making afternoon s'mores and stargazing after the sun sets. We hope you'll love this place as much as we do.

Our location is just minutes away from downtown Abbeville, where you can savor authentic Cajun fresh seafood at various restaurants and immerse yourself in frequent local festivals. We're also conveniently located 30 minutes from Lafayette, 16 minutes from Palmetto Island State Park, and just an hour away from great crabbing and fishing at Rockefeller Wildlife Refuge.
